Chapter 16

PRINCE ALVIN POV- YEAR 2020

When a doctor comes out from the ICU I inquire about her situation. He seems to identify me and Fiona as Aaden and Aaliyah.

“Mr. Clifford, her situation is very critical. She has lost a lot of blood, and we immediately done a blood transfusion. But, with the pregnancy her situation is very critical and must observe her closely till next twenty-four hours. Till now Mrs. Clifford and the baby is okay.”

The words stated by doctor while patting on my shoulder to calm me, make me shocked.

‘Fiona is pregnant? But how? Ah! That’s it. Before our souls swapped, Aaden and Aaliyah have consummated their marriage. It’s okay I’m happy that she is pregnant. This child will bring us closer. Although, the child is not ours originally, I already have begun to love and care about him/her.’

“Can I move her to Edwards Hospitals?”

“Yes, you can. I’ll make the documents to release her.”

After the doctor leave, I call Aaden’s men to come here with an ambulance and to inform the Edwards about the accident.

Within the next hour, I succeeded in moving Fiona to their nearest hospital. At the time, we reached there, Aaliyah’s mom and dad were there while waiting for us. Her condition was checked by them, and they were very happy when they find about their daughter being pregnant. When they show me the picture of our child, my heartbeat increases because of the happiness. In mine and Fiona’s era we have no facility to see our child before the birth. But in here it feels like a fantasy that we can watch our unborn child with the use of developed technology.

After checking Fiona’s condition, Aaliyah’s mom and dad leave the room allowing me to be alone with Fiona.

Although, Fiona is not conscious, I begin to talk with her after talking her right hand between my arms.

“Fiona, I’m sorry that I thought wrong about you and plot against you. I’m happy that, it was your soul who is with me here. Because of happy that, I got chance to found about the truth about the Rose and I got chance to live closer to you as Aaden and Aaliyah who loves each other to the extent. I know that you despise me for the things I have planned with Rose. But please try to forgive me because I have begun to love you.”

After kissing on her fingers, I take away my left hand from her and move it on her stomach while my right hand still hold her hand.

“Aaden and Aaliyah had made a baby with their love. I already loving this baby, and I know that you to will. I don’t know whether we’ll be able to swap our souls to our original bodies or not. But, I’ve begun to love this life I spend here as Aaden and you as Aaliyah. Also, I love this feeling of being a father. I’ll protect you two and will not allow anyone to harm you guys.”

I kiss on Aaliyah’s flat stomach, and her fingers wrapped around my hand tighten her grip on my fingers. Is she gaining conscious?

With that thought, I look at her and after a few seconds, she opens her eyes with great difficulty.

“W-w-a-t-e-r”

“Wait baby, doctor asked me not to give you anything and inform immediately as soon as you get conscious.”

I said after pressing the emergency button. In few seconds, Aaliyah’s mom, dad and two nurses come to the room.

After examining the nurses leave the room with the instruction given by Aaliyah’s mom and dad. Then Aaliyah’s mom and dad sit on the bed and hug Fiona to them. Fiona loves this two like their parents. I know that she loves to enjoy the warmth of mother’s love she lost on her young age.

“How are you feeling baby? We were so worried you.”

“It pains mom. But, I’ll be okay. The accident was an intentional one mom. The container come directly to our car.”

It’s so difficult to control my anger. That killer intentionally tried to hurt my Fiona. Soon! Very soon. I’ll teach the pain of losing someone dear to him and then will kill him with my hands.

“It’s okay Liyah. You don’t have to think about any other thing. We’ll take care of all the things. The only thing you have to done is taking care of our grandchild.”

With the Aaliyah’s dad’s words, Fiona look them with wide eyes, and then her eyes find mine asking for a confirmation about the news. With a smile on my face, I shake my head up and down indicating that they are saying truth.

With a big smile on her face, she moves her right hand to her stomach and rub it up and down slowly. 

“We’ll leave you two alone.”

Saying that Aaliyah’s mom and dad leave the room and I walk towards Fiona while keeping my gaze on her smiling face. She’s very happy. I’ve never seen her this much happy. When she feels me near her, she looks at me with the same smile and begins to talk.

“Prince Alvin, do you here that? I’m having a baby. I’m so happy.”

I don’t like her claiming the baby as only hers. So, I correct her after I sit beside her and wound my left hand around her shoulder and keep my right hand on her hand which was on her tummy.

“I’ve said to you that call me Alvin when we are alone and Aaden in the presence of others, not Prince Alvin. And the baby is not only yours, but mine as well. So, the baby is ours. I’m also happy to have a baby with you.”

Then I kiss on her left cheek making her bright red.
