Arriving at Wolf Mountain Ranch

Mum put her arms around me, she pulled me tightly into her burying her face into my shoulder. The tears broke through and I sobbed into her shoulder. Azelea moved to the back of my mind slowly with her head lowered.

Just then mum's mobile rang, she took her phone from her pocket and answered.

"Hello."

"Amy, it's me". Dad's voice came threw the speaker.

"Stay where you are. Apha Abel and Luna Shelby are on their way to the pack house. All hell has broken loose here. Jace is putting out orders to take Jayla. Don't call me, I need to be here, i'll call when I can". There was a pause and an intake of a deep breath came threw.

"How is Jayla?"

"How do you think she is Bryan, she's devastated".

"Look give her a big hug and tell her she will be fine, Tell her I love her and I will see her soon."

Mum ended the call and wrapped her arm around me again. I always loved her hugs, no matter whatever the problem her hugs always seemed to take the hurt away. But this problem wasn't small and it wasn't going to go away just like that. I had attacked the future Luna and I could lose my life.

Mum pulled back and placed a hand on the side of my cheek.

"Honey," her phone rang again.

Mum answered it then stood up and walked over to the window. I couldn't hear what was being said but I caught a few words from mum.

When she had ended the call, she turned and smiled gently at me. Mum turned back and stared out if the window.

"Mum, what is it?"

Mum sighed as she she turned to me again.

"Jayla," she said as she put her hands on my shoulders.

"we need to be ready Alpha Jerry from the Mountain Ranch has sent his enforcers to pick you up. your father also told me that alpha Jace are immobilising the guards to track you down".

I stared at mum and my face drained of colour, fear consuming my face. All I could think of was the little bean inside of me. Mum was shouting my name, but her voice was so far away in the distance. My mind going crazy, what if Jace finds me. What if he finds out about the baby.

panic started to consume me, my heart started racing, my palms started to feel clamey, an ache in my chest started to intensify. My vision started to close in on me until everything went dark.

I heard voices around me, but my eyes wouldn't open. I felt myself being lifted and my body floated until I felt the small breeze on my face and the smell of car fumes in the air. My head felt heavy as I was placed down and a small slam of a door echoed in my ears.

I felt an arm go around my shoulders and heard my mother's voice. the sense of feeling warmth and feeling safe I fell back into darkness once more.

I have no idea how long I slept, but I woke with someone calling my name. I knew that voice, it was my mother's.

I fought threw the fog in my head and blinked my eyes open. The sunlight blinded me causing my eyes to blink shut. while my eyes adjusted to the sun light, I heard male voices muffled.

As I opened my eyes, I saw my mother standing outside of the vehicle that I was in. She was standing there talking to a very tall man. He was gorgeous, probably the best looking man I have ever seen. Azelea in the back of my mind pushing forward as her eyes widened.

"Holy Moon Goddess." as she started panting and drawling. She laid her front legs down and her back end was sticking up in the air. Her tail raised waggling from side to side.

"You horny dog, behave yourself". I smirked as I told her.

I sat there not taking my eyes off of the tall man. I could see his arm muscles stretching the sleeves of his t shirt. They strained against htem everytime he moved them. He was well built and dark skinned, his head was shaved but when he turned I saw his eyes were dark. The sun reflected against them. But his eyes were kind.

The car door opened and mum held out her hand. I slowly got down from the car and stood there. I looked up at the man and my heart thudded inside my chest. His voice was low and calming.

"Welcome. My name is Alpha Jerry, this is my Beta Femi, My Gamma isn't here right now he's on assignment. You will meet him when he comes back in a few day's.

I lowered my head slightly.

"Alpha, My name is Jayla. Thank you for allowing me to come here".

Alpha Jerry smiled and turned to my mother.

"Amy, Please follow me, we will go to my study and we can talk in privacy".

My mother took my hand and we walked along side the Alpha. Every so often my eyes wandered to his tall frame.

As we walked I watched young pups playing, there were farm animals in paddocks. A few young girls were riding horses and the men were standing watching them from the other side of the fences. Some women were standing around outside, from what looked like a massive farm house. I noticed there were houses doted around a big barn, some stables and an arena with some horse jumps in it. As we walked towards the farm house I felt eyes on my back watching every move I made.

As we entered a blonde she wolf ran right up to Alpha Jerry.

"Alpha, do you have time to teach me to ride today?" she asked

"Not now Cindy, we have company and I have things to do."

"Aw Alpha please you did say you would."

"Not now Cindy go find one of the foremen and ask them."

I stood there watching this blonde haired girl whinning. Honestly her voice grated on my nerves. It went right threw me. Alpha Jerry looked next to him where his Beta stood. Beta Femi lifted is hands up infront of himself and waved them.

"Nah Nah, no way man, you find her someone else,"

I couldn't help but smile, it was obvious she was the pack slut. We had plenty of those in our pack. Anything to get to the Alpha and into his bed.

As we proceeded to walk towards the Alpha's study his Beta came up beside me and nudged my arm with his elbow.

"Uh, dont worry about Cindy she's pretty harmless, she's had a crush on our Alpha for a few years now. Always trying to assert her authority towards any other she wolf that comes in 2 feet of our Alpha."

I looked up at him and nodded in understanding. I gave a polite smile and carried on walking forward. We had just managed a few steps when someone shouted.

"Amy, oh my Moon Goodess your here."

I looked over and saw a woman barrelling down the stairs running straight towards us, her arms out ready. I took a deep breath and stepped back leaving my mother's hand go. I l.ooked at mum and she had the biggest brightest smile on her face. I smiled seeing her look like that. Mum stepped forward as the woman came crashing into her arms wrapping her arms around my mother tightly.

"Amy, oh Amy it's so good to see you."
