"Lisa." mum gasped out.
"Lisa it's so good to see you to."
It honestly looked like they were best of friends that hadn't seen each other in years.
Alpha Jerry stood there and watched the pair of them, not saying a word. A small smile crept onto his lips and he shook his head.
"Ma, Sorry to disturb you but I need to have a discussion with Amy and her daughter."
"Wh ..What, oh yes am sorry son." she pulled back from mum and looked at the Alpha
Son? Ok so this was the Luna. I put my hand to my head as a sharp pain flew threw it. I took a step back. Someone grabbed me by my arm and an arm went around my waist.
"Are you alright?" a deep voice sounded.
I looked up straight into Alpha Jerry's eyes. I heard a stomp and looked over. Cindy was staring at me with daggers in her eyes. Her face was twisted her mouth was pursed tightly, her eyes narrowed. I quickly stood steady and stepped back putting a gap between myself and the Alpha. I could still feel her eyes boring into me. Mum quickly came to my side and took my hand patting it gently. I looked at her and nodded. A silent code letting her know I was fine.
"Alpha, shall we go, I think Jayla is tired and needs some rest."
"Of course Amy." He turned and we followed behind.
Just as we started walking I heard someone say the word b***h. I didn't have to guess who it was for and who it was that said it. I just took a deep breath and walked. All I wanted was to lay down. My head hurt, I hadn't eaten anything and my head felt light. Once we reached the Alpha's study he gestured myself and mum in to sit down. I sat there while the alpha took his seat on the other side of his desk. I looked around and found it quite clean. books were stacked in the corner.
A book shelf filled with mythical books of every kind. On the wall behind his chair was a symbol with a half moon cresent. The air smelt of pine with a hint of cedar. Azelea in my mind was aware sniffing the air. Her eyes glowed silver coming forward to the front of my mind. Her constantly pushing made my head hurt more.
Before Alpha Jerry had even said a word Azelea pushed forward, I stood up then everything went black. As the blackness consumed me all I could here was my mother screaming my name.
Alpha Jerry
The moment I saw her I felt a pull. My mother Lisa told me a little about what had happened. I agreed to let my mother's friend and daughter come to the pack. It was arranged by my mother that Jayla's mother would return to her pack once Jayla was settled.
I kept that I felt a pull towards Jayla and never told no one not even my best friend Femi who is my Beta.
The girl was attractive, she had bright blue eys with dark blonde hair. Her face was fair and she had an hour glass figure. But as she stepped infront of me there was something off. Her scent was strong of jasmine but there was a small scent of something and I couldn't figure out what. The girl looked scared as she looked around as we walked towards the farm house.
What I didn't expect was for Cindy to start her antics the minute we walked into the lounge. Cindy was an easy girl, she thought she was intitled as she was my father's friend's daughter. I didn't have time for her. Cindy was my headache in every possible way.
She was rude to the other she wolves, I had even heard from some wolves in passing that she was declaring to be my new luna.
To stop the rumours I had pulled her into my office and told her straight.
Now I try to avoid her at every possible turn. I was startled when my mother shouted loudly to Amy, Jayla's mother. Honestly seeing my mother act this way again did make me smile. My mother hasn't smiled like this in a very long time. Mum had told me that they go way back they actually lived and grew up together in their child hood pack in England. The New Forest Pack. That where my father had met my mother. They were fated mates.
Mum had a hard life with my father. As I grew up I came to realise what my father actually was. A terrible father and even worse husband. I used to hear my mother sob in her room late at night. A few times I would see bruises on her but she never said anything.
Until one day. I was 19 years old and I had just come back from training. I heard a loud crash come from upstairs, then someone scream. I ran up the stairs towards of the screaming.
A strong smell of blood invaded my nose. Knox my wolf surged forward as he ran towards my mother's room. I kicked the door open and stood frozen in place. There stood my father looking down on my mother who was lying in a pool of her own blood. His claws were out and his Alpha aura was pushing on her to stop her from moving. I ran over and she looked at me through fearful eyes. Her face was purple and blue, her eyes swollen, her lips split.
I felt my anger spiking, how could he do this to her? I had seen this a few times but I was never big enough to stand up to him. Now I was. I fought my father that day and ended up killing him. I thought I was heartless as I never felt any guilt for what I had done. It felt more like a relief.
After talking with my mother, we both decided that we would leave. My mother was left a ranch in Wolf Mountain, we decided to go and live there. As I had killed the Alpha I automatically became the new one. But that place held more bad memories for my mother than good. My child hood best friends came with us, Femi and Otto they were to become my Beta and Gamma once I took over from my father.
So I handed the Alpha roll over to my fathers Beta, then we left. When we got to the Ranch, it was infact in better condition that what I thought. We soon settled in and started building a home. Somewhere were I could protect my mum and never see that fear in her eyes again. Over the years some of the pack members from our old pack moved to our ranch. We expanded the land area and built more houses. Femi and Otto have never left my side, as they always said Brothers forever.
Now I'm standing here in my study looking at Jayla and her mother when all of a sudden she jumped up then fell. Amy screamed as I rushed to her before she hit the floor. I shouted the doctor to come to my room as I headed upstairs with Jayla in my arms. The increased fear and anxiety in me was flooding into me. The urge to protect her surprisingly strong. Knox looking down at her in my arms.
