Finally it was time, open house was here and of course Belli was freaking out about her brother since he just told her he'd gotten into town and wanted to meet her at her apartment. "ROSEY HE'S HERE! I'M SO NERVOUS WHAT DO I DO???!?" She screamed outside of the pack border, she was whimpering and crying like a toddler and I glanced at Meadow that was next to me looking like she was about to run at any second and I whispered "and you were scared of her??? She's still a baby, not a dangerous one." I know Belli heard as she glared at me and I only grinned. Meadow nodded and walked into the border saying she was going to see my parents before open house. When Meadow was a fair distance away I sat next to Belli and laughed pointing at my old friend "she was scared of you until she saw your crying fit, then she looked just shocked like 'omg a vampire can cry and it's not blood tears?' Haha… hon your brother hasn't seen you in two years, I'm sure he just wants to relax at your place before he deals with a lot of humans and shifters alike, the pack will not like it but they're sucking it up. If we aren't enemies of the vampire king and his family it could be good for us in the future." I glance over at Belli only to see her staring at me weirdly ".... You totally sounded like a true leader right there. I'm proud of how far you've come in two years." She said teasing me and I pinched her arm and laughed "oh your one to talk little miss perfect!" I say back to her, when I get a mind link from my mom 'sweetie come home now, we need to get ready for the next vampire king that's visiting us.' I agreed and pulled Belli up on her feet and pushed her down the road "now get your ass over there to see your brother and be sure to bring him over here around sunset or evening okay? The pack needs me to set up, so you don't have me there. But there is Lucas you can take with you!" Belli blushed at the name, he was our friend and was Belli's crush. He's a tall guy, a wolf and bear hybrid shifter with dirty blonde hair and black eyes, he was the kinda guy that tanned easily so he was usually decently tan. Belli agreed to having Lucas with her and her brother, a bit more at ease and left with a pep in her step. I laughed to myself as I turned and walked down the road and heard Axius coming from the woods in front of me and looked at me bowed his head and walked ahead not speaking a word to me. Lucifer smiled in the back of my mind 'good, little wolves need to back down and be respectful of us. We're future leader of the pack, good that he learned his place right away.’ I agreed as I made my way to the pack house and my house, helping to set up the welcoming party of sorts for Belli and her brother. I know she told me his name at one point, it started with a K if I remember correctly. Kaiden, Kade, Kranus? It could be anything, could be exotic or something very plain and overused. Does he have the same hair as Belli, or maybe his mother’s hair? I know that Belli’s hair comes from her mom, maybe he has startling green eyes like his father and sister? Wait! Why am I thinking about him? I mean he’s a vampire for hell’s sake, it isn’t right for a wolf and vampire to be with each other… Or is it? I mean I’ve never hated vampire’s or was never scared of them like Meadow or other shifters, but I’ve never had a reason for it in all actuality it was the opposite for me, I remember one time I wandered out of pack territory and got lost when I was about seven years old. I couldn’t find my way back and all the quiet noises of the animals were scaring me that I fell down and started crying, I didn’t want to move and get lost more than I’d already been when I heard growling, I knew it was a wolf instantly and looked up hopeful it was a pack member furious with me for being lost but that wasn’t the case. It was a rogue wolf watching me with murderous intent in his eyes, I was so scared I froze at the sight of a rogue that I didn’t notice he made a lunge for me until a brown flash appeared and kicked the wolf and tore his throat. I stared in disbelief that this boy not much older than me had killed a rogue, and with a simple swipe of his hand at that! Then I saw him bend down and sipped where he tore the wolf’s throat out and I panicked, he was a vampire! I was always told by the pack that they were dangerous bad shifters that drank other shifters blood, but this one saved me from a rogue wolf for no reason except maybe a meal or maybe he wanted to eat me as well? I saw the boy spit the blood out then he threw up, seemingly angry he kicked the wolf’s lifeless body and sent it flying a good distance away cursing, seemingly forgetting I was there then he turned and looked at me. I got up and stared back at him a bit nervous that he’d try to kill me too, at that moment I started crying my eyes out and he seemed shocked and walked over shyly “um...you okay little girl? I saw that wolf about to attack you and… S-saved you… I’m sorry I have a little sister your age and I’d want her to be saved like that… Are you lost?” He asked holding his hand out to me smiling at me and looking at me warmly, I stared at him then slowly took his hand and told him I was lost from my pack and couldn’t find it, he nodded and picked me up while grinning at me “hold on kiddo, cause I’m about to take you home really fast!” So I held onto him tightly and he took off running really fast, on the way I noticed his hair had a red tint to it that I wanted to touch but couldn’t. Before I knew it, we were in front of the pack we caught unaware and they all looked shocked, I saw his eyes were now red staring “I have brought a lost wolf back, I mean no harm to any of you or her. I saw her about to be attacked by a rogue and saved her. Here she is back.” He set me down and my mom ran to me, pulled me up hugging tightly and looked at the young vampire “thank you for saving her, we owe you for that.” He only shook his head and walked away, “maybe we’ll see each other again.” He said looking over his shoulder at me, I watched him shift to a huge bat and fly away.
