And of course, he would miss her from the bottom of his… heart! "Okay that's enough; that's emotional, whatever. I beg of you, leave the way." The monster said but Kath didn't move an inch cause she was already paralyzed with grief and could not command her legs to move. The monster had to use his shoulder to shove her aside as she staggered out of his way. For a second, she stood motionless with horror until she got back to her senses and ran back to her dad shoving the monster aside with her left hand, as she held on to her dad's hand. "No dad, you can't do this. Please, reconsider the decision you've made. You still have some time left to think about this. Dad, if anything happens to you, I won't be able to forgive myself." Kath said, trying her utmost best to convince her dad to have a change of mind. "Kath, no, this has nothing to with you. I made this decision myself, you didn't force it on me. Kath listens, I know what I am doing. In the future, you would understand everything I did today. Surely you would. Like I said earlier, I and the gods of our ancestors will always watch over you and our people." The king said soothingly and his words had made her hearts bleed even more that she couldn't stop herself from crying even more. "Take her away." Was the next thing Kath heard and she felt someone get a hold of her right hand and someone else got a hold of her left hand and started hauling her backward. Even when she struggles not to let go of her dad's hands, whoever was pulling her backward, was way too stronger than her. This is so frustrating! For crying out loud, this monster would kill her dad anything soon, can't she, at least, have some alone time with him? She can't speak with him for the last time? And, who the hell is so heartless to take her away from her dad at this time? Furiously, she turned to see who it was but... found nothing. She could feel it, someone was hauling her backward with a tight grip on her elbow, but why can't she see anyone behind her? Are they some sought of invisible forces or what? Whatever was hauling her backward, hauled her to the midst of the people of Nazirites and left her there. Well, to Kath, thinking about some invisible forces or monsters that pulled her to where she is right now, was the last thing on her mind. She knew they were a lot of monsters that they couldn't see around them, coupled with the fact that they were now loving in the realm of the supernatural. So, thinking about the was a waste of time. For now, she was most concerned about her dad. From where she stood, she could hear weeping sounds from, of course, the people of Nazirites. They would have run to the king to hug him if it weren't for the fact that their legs were stuck to the ground... Hold on. Kath's eyes widened as she stared around her and then, to her foot. She was now in the midst of the people of Nazirites, does that mean her leg has also been stuck to the ground? No, this can't be happening, it just can't, especially now. She silently prayed that her first attempt to lift her legs will be a success. And so, she closes her eyes and attempted to lift her legs but, unfortunately, it didn't move from the position it was. She is doomed! She could feel her world come crashing right in front of her. Will she stay still and watch that heartless monster takes her dad's life. She can't, she won't, and will never. She silently hoped that the second attempt she was about to make will be a success this time. And so, she tried to lift her legs up but yet, her leg still didn't move from the position from was. Out of frustration, she screamed so loud and almost pulled her hair out. Despite her yells, the people of Nazirites didn't budge as their whole attention was fixed on the king and the possessed soldier. The soldier turned to look at the people of Nazirites and then, he diverted his gaze to the ceiling of the palace and nodded his head. "It is time. Ravana has now given me the instruction I have been waiting for. Get yourself prepared. After I have killed the king, we will all head to Ravana's domain." He said and turned his back on them to face the king. On hearing that word, 'after I have killed the king,' Kath felt like she should punch him on his face. The way he says it nonchalantly was also adding to the boiling rag inside of her and she felt like she might as well explode anytime soon. But, What is she gonna do now? Stand still and watch? How can she stop him when she can't move? This is complicated. Everything that has happened today is complicated. More tears rolled down her cheeks when she realized that in some few minutes or seconds, her dad will be considered dead. She will say this all over and over again, even a million times that everything that has happened and will happen to her dad, was her fault. "Is there any word you would say before your death?" The soldier asked the king bringing the sharp edges of the sword to his face. "Yes!" The king hesitated for a while and turned to look at his daughter who now had a swollen red face and eyes. His last word was, the monsters shouldn't be too hard on his daughter. But, can he say that aloud? Would he listen to him? His daughter should be safe, she needs to be safe for the people of Nazirites to be safe; he would make that his last wish before his death. Hopefully, the gods of their ancestors grant him just this one wish. He closed his eyes and summoned enough courage that he could, before saying, "please proceed!" The monster smirked and turned to look at Kath, "your dad just told me to proceed. You don't have to miss him too much cause you would see him again in Ravana's domain. In the meantime, let me get down to business." The soldier said, sarcasm dripping out from his tone. Was he trying to get Kath pissed or what? Yeah, it is working perfectly. Oh, if looks can kill, the monster would have been six feet underneath the ground, cause Kath was literally throwing daggers at him. He turned to the king and before they realized it, the sword in the soldier's hand has already gone deep into the stomach of the king. He brought the sword out from his stomach and pierce it even deeper into his stomach as the time, some parts of the sharp edges of the sword could be seen at the king's back. Blood littered on the soldier's face as he suck the blood in his lips into his mouth with a look of satisfaction on his face. Blood oozed out from the king's mouth as his body, most especially his legs felt paralyzed and was not able to carry his body. With every thrust, the sword makes in his stomach, he could see his whole world coming to an end. The pains he felt within were indescribable, but the fact that he was doing this for his daughter and the people of Nazirites gave him more strength to go through the pains. Kath wasn't the only one crying, every member of Nazirites could feel their tears rolling down their cheeks. From everything that has happened to them and from all the bad days they have ever had, they will consider today to be the worst of them all. Seeing their king dying right in front of them wasn't something they never for once imagined. This is one of the worst ways one could ever die, especially when his daughter had to watch him die, and can't do anything about it. The King fell on his knees and the only thing he could hear was sobbing from the people of Nazirites and of course, his daughter and then, everything went blank!
