The Alpha's Lost Love

This story takes place in a fictional world where supernatural creatures roam. As always werewolves and vampires have an ongoing feud that has caused dysfunction between the groups. There are also other supernatural creatures in the world; however, they are usually used as pawns in the battles. Werewolf background: - Wolves live in a pack away from human towns so that they can roam freely in their wolf form whenever. - Kids grow up learning about how to become a functioning member of their packs society and what to look forward to in their lives when they transform into their wolf at the age of 18. - Every pack has its ranks which includes the Alpha, Luna, Beta, Gamma, and the Omegas. The Alpha is the big boss of the pack and runs it how they see fit. Once an Alpha has an heir, their familial line will continue and the child (whether male or female) will become the next Alpha. The Luna is the mate of the Alpha and is in charge of the social aspects of a pack. They help with events and social works to help the community thrive emotionally and socially. The Beta is the second in command and helps the Alpha train new wolves and take care of the pack in any way they can. The Gamma is in charge of taking care of the Luna of the pack. They also help train if needed to answer to the Alpha. The Omegas are the backbone of the pack. They help run the menial jobs that help the pack prosper, such as cooking and cleaning. - There are also warriors in a pack that begin training as soon as they turn 16 so that they can help to protect their fellow wolves in the pack, especially those who are not able to fight. - Human laws do not matter in a werewolf pack since the Alpha is in charge and gets to be the judge, jury, and executioner if necessary. - Mates are drilled into the wolves heads as one of the most important aspects of their future, seeing as the Moon Goddess is the one who creates the perfect wolves that will be fated to one another. Mates can be of different species (i.e werewolf and vampire, werewolf and witch, witch and vampire, etc...) but it is very rare. - Werewolves who are multiples (twins, triplets, etc...) tend to have the same mate as their sibling. - By 18 years old, a wolf will emerge in the human counterpart and by the full moon after they turn 18, they will shift. Alphas can usually communicate with their wolves anywhere between 16 and 18; however, they still do not transform until they have their 18th birthday. Other wolves have to wait until they have their birthday in order to communicate with their wolf. - Whenever the wolf counterpart emerges, they are able to scent their mate. - Whenever a wolf emerges in the mind, a rare few have special abilities. That hasn't happened in about 100 years though. - Wolves within the same pack can communicate telepathically via mindlink but only one on one. The Alpha can create a link between everyone in the pack. - If someone k***s and Alpha, they have the right to take over the pack as their own and do with the members what they will. - When a she wolf meets their mate, they usually go into heat about 6 months later. Heat is when the she wolf emits a pheromone that causes their mate to go crazy with lust and want to mate and mark them instantly, allowing for the continuation of the werewolf species no matter what. - Marking is where the wolves of both genders release their canines during s*x and bite into each other's necks, causing a permanent beautiful symbol to appear showing that they have a mate. If someone's mate is k****d, the other one will experience severe pain and weaker wolves usually do not survive. Vampire background: - Vampires can be created or born. They are created by the exchanging of blood between a powerful vampire who can resist the urge to drain someone completely and a human who will then drink some of the vampires blood after being fed from. Vampires can only be born through cross species relationships. Two full vampires are not able to birth a vampire, but a vampire and werewolf are able to. The child resulting in this situation will then have traits from both species being a hybrid, but will be more dominant in one than the other. - Newborn vampires have a high thirst rate and have a hard time controlling themselves; therefore, vampires keep to themselves out of other communities. - There is usually a higher ranked, older vampire who is in charge of the newborn vampires around them that live in a community together. They tend to call this vampire the King so as to show respect to their higher ranking. - Only the higher ranked vampires are able to walk out in the sunlight without the help of an enchanted piece of jewelry. - In order to control their thirst, a vampire can drink human or animal blood. The former tastes better to them though, even if it just comes from a blood bag rather than a human. - Vampires can mark their mates as well by biting them on their neck, but they do not have as strong of a pull to a mate as werewolves do. - Some vampires have special abilities such as being able to manipulate fire or water or others. - Vampires are able to walk into another's home no problem and without being invited in.
