Getting ready for Xmas
It was a beautiful morning and I woke up with a smile on my face, mom must have been preparing a delicious breakfast "the aroma filled my nostrils" so i jumped out of bed stretched out and headed for the bathroom. Birds were singing, fresh air and a warm golden ray of sunshine came in through the window.
Soon enough I was down stairs sitting at the table, having breakfast and chatting with mom and dad about Christmas. I was supper excited about going out in the snow and shopping especially with dad around, I felt complete since this was the only time of the year that I got to spend ample time with him. His a successful business man who imports and exports goods all over the world, he's always busy but writes us letters every week.
Breakfast was done rather fast than usual and we hopped onto the wagon setting off for town. Our family mansion was about one kilometer away from town so we were isolated from the others,,, I went to a boarding school so was only home over the holidays, mom often visited me though and I was never out of necessities. We had over 20 workers at home thus mom was never alone and she anyway worked in the city hospital and was also very busy to a certain extent. Tomorrow would be Christmas eve and the rest of our family members would be visiting so we were shopping for quite a few hours before heading back home to prepare the house. Some workers had been given over a week off and we were left with only four maids and one guard to help us out with the preparation,,, they would leave tomorrow too since we expected alot of visitors. My aunt Paula was a very good cook and my cousins all took from her, we were all hardworking so we definitely could haddle the chores at home. We worked so hard to get everything in place before tomorrow and slept very late today. I was now on my bed staring at the ceiling, a small tired smile on my lips as I slowly drifted away and slept.
