Chapter 34 getting into a routine

SUMMERS POV

Once we reach the kitchen I close the door.

"Okay what's up?" Sean asks looking worried. And I can't help but think so he should be worried which makes me smile internally.

"Have you never heard of a phone? And I get the reason you have stationed security outside my house, but that doesn't mean it can be used to spy on me! I'm entitled to privacy you know. So if you want to know my movements how about asking me? Pick up a damn phone instead of having it reported back by people stationed outside my house!" I say.

"That was never my intention, honestly it wasn't however I'm glad they informed Leo, who in turn informed me! Otherwise would you of told me you were coming back here? Why did you come back here anyway? What did I do now?" He fires back just as angry.

"What I told you I was staying home is this not my home?" I say.

"Well yes but I thought you meant our home the apartment" he snaps back.

"Don't you dare start that rubbish! I told you I wasn't moving back permanently and since everyone is going back to there normal life's it's about time me and Skylar do the same, so we come home again. And I'm pretty sure we will be fine since we have security right outside the door so you don't have to worry." I say.

"What? so when am I allowed to see Skylar then? You just upped and left with our daughter Summer how is that fair? I thought you was giving me a chance? Why are you being like this?" He asks.

"Well Sean giving you a chance doesn't mean living together 24/7 straight away like a perfectly happy little family! Don't forget what you did to cause this mess to start with! And I've been trying really hard to give you servel chances have I not? And never did I say I was stopping you from seeing Skylar when did I say that? I didn't, your just assuming that yourself making me out to do something I'm not! Did I just refuse you access to my house? No I didn't therefore wind ya neck in, I'm fed up you saying something and it doesn't happen." I say.

" Summer I didn't mean it that way" he starts to say but I cut him right off. I point my finger at him saying, "don't even bother I'm to hacked off right now. Go spend some time with Skylar and Leo! You have 2 hours then I want you to leave. During the 2 hours I will be upstairs if I'm needed for Skylar." I say Then I storm out the kitchen and head straight upstairs to my bedroom. I lay on the bed and scream into the pillow to muffle my frustrated scream. After a few minutes of just laying there I decided I'd ring my dad, but he didn't answer. So I finished unpacking what was left to unpack before watching TV in bed.

SEAN'S POV

Leo left after a hour and half with a suggestion of thinking before I speak in future, that way I might not screw up with Summer again. I decided to bath Skylar before I left so I got everything ready including enougher bottle as a top up feed after her bath. Then I got Skylar into the bath. As I expected the second I put Skylar into the bath she screamed the bath down, followed by pooing in the bath. "Well this isn't how I expected bath time to happen little lady" I say getting Skylar out the bath. I wrap the towel around Skylar and go to carry her to the nursery only for Skylar to pee going all down my arm and shirt. "Hmm are you angry with me also?"Why else would I deserve this treatment?" I say. Instead of going to the nursery I go to Summers room for a clean towel.

"Summer could you grab me enougher towel please?" I ask.

"I thought I could hear you bathing Skylar how come you need enougher towel?" Summer asks going to get her towel.

"Because Skylar has peed all over this one along with me." I say

"Ha, ha, ha" Summer laughs laying her towel on the bed. "That's my lil princess" says summer trying to contain the laughter.

"Oh, she also pooped in the bath also this bathtime hasn't gone well" I say as I quickly switch towels to keep Skylar warm. Then I head off to the nursery where everything is ready.

Once I've got Skylar dried and dressed I start to feed her as I walk back into Summers bedroom.

"Getting dressed was easier than the bath time" I say sitting on the bed next to Summer.

"Well the bottle seems to be calming Skylar back down" Is all Summer responds.

"Summer, I know I upset you again and I didn't want that in honesty. Can you forgive me?" I ask while giving pleading eyes.

"Fine" is all Summer mutters.

"Are you sure? You don't sound confident." I say.

"That's because I'm not confident in you anymore, but I choose to forgive you for skylars sake, she needs her dad in her life even if that bloke accuses me of not allowing him access" Summer says getting up from the bed.

"Oh you know I didn't say that though and I'm sorry if it sounded like that, it's just being back at work before I wanted to personally go back and then you both moving back in here today had me freaked out! when do I get to spend time with Skylar and you". I practically shout as Summer walks out the room.

"Dont worry about cleaning the bathroom just spend what time you have left with Skylar" she shouts back.

By the time Summer walks back in I'm winding Skylar who is giving up the wind easily this time round.

"Once your done seeing to Skylar, then you can leave for the evening we will be fine" summer Says changing the bedding in the next to me crib.

"You really want me to leave? Are you sure you don't want me near by incase you feel overwhelmed during the night feeds? I can stay in the spare room or even the sofa if it helps" I say.

"I'm sure, plus I'm certain your only go to the house a few houses down and I also seem to have servel security guards outside now, so I'm sure we will be fine" she says still sounding pissed off.

"Okay I will leave but I'm coming back tomorrow." I say

"That's fine but you can have until 7pm after work, I need to get into routine of early nights, I don't want to be looking like a walking zombie come Christmas day" summer says.

"You could never look like that, but if your that worried about it just share the nights with me, you know I will help." I say.

I then put Skylar into the crib and kiss her gently on the head, before standing up and looking at summer again. "Summer you know it makes sense just because I've gone back to work doesn't mean I'm going to abandon you both and I'm sorry for upsetting you earlier." I say.

"If you say so, I'm not arguing with you I just want to get some sleep now so if you don't mind please leave now" is all summer says.

"Okay, but make sure you lock the door behind me and if you need anything just ring me I will be at the house a few houses away" I grumble leaving the bedroom.

Summer doesn't even say anything she just follows me downstairs and watches as I grab my keys and jacket from the front room. Summer promise your RING RING RIN

"Oh it's Lisa" Summer says answering it.

"Okay" I respond heading to the door.

"Sean wait a second" Summer suddenly says stopping me in my tracks. I turn around to see tears and a half smile on Summers face.

"What's wrong?" I whisper.

"They arrested him! And he has been remanded there was cctv and to much forernic evidence that they charged him" Summer quickly says.

"About time!"

"Yeah, I'm glad you got a result and when it's time for court you know I will be there for you as well" I hear Summer say.

"Tell Lisa I'm glad and I hope she feels a little safer knowing he is locked behind bars right now." I say

"She said she heard and she feels a little bit more better but she still doesn't feel safe or herself yet." Summer says

I nod my head in understanding.

"Okay, you go have a good evening and try to relax he can't hurt you anymore just remember that" Summer says.

Then she takes a second of silence.

"Yes, love you to and anytime speak to you later bye" Summer then says before hanging up.

"Well that's one bit of good news today at least" I say.

"Yes I hope he roots in there!" Summer says with a look of pure hatred thinking of him

"Me to even though I still wanna personally tear him apart myself, I'm glad he locked up and women in the city are safe from him at least." I say

"I know what you mean, hopefully this will be the start of getting Lisa back to happier life again" she says saddened look of her face.

"She will don't worry, I will make sure of it, and you helped us loads already in just getting Lisa this far. we will always be forever grateful I hope you know that Summer." I say.

"Okay, well I really am tired and need some sleep now" Summer says trying to contain her emotions.

I decided not to argue it out and opened the front door. "Good night Summer" is all I say as I walk out and close the door.

I waited until I heard the door lock before speaking with the security guards out front briefly then headed off the shop for some food and drinks.

SUMMERS POV

I was really happy for Lisa and I hope she finds some kinda peace for now knowing that asshole is locked up.

And that's all I was thinking about as I walked upstairs to bed. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep and before I knew it I was awake again as Skylar was crying. I didn't even check the time I just sang twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are? Up above the world so high. Like a diamond in the sky, twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder what you are. I kept singing until the bottle was made which seemed to help Skylar settle a little. Then I decided to sing a few other nursery ryhmes while feeding Skylar her bottle. I couldn't help admire how cute Skylar is. I still can't get over how perfect she is even at such a dinky size and two and half weeks old already. I can't believe how much love you can have for enougher person. Although I knew they say you don't know what love is until you become a parent but it's still shocking how powerful a mothers love is.

The rest of the night was filled with sleep and singing nursery rhymes during the night feeds.

Come 8:35am I'd had me and Skylar dressed and ready for the day. I decided to dress Skylar in an adorable snowman baby grow and matching bib. With a woolen white baby hat and mitts. I wore black maternity jeans with a pink woolen jumper and threw my hair into a messy bun before applying a little make up. I added my black uggs boots for confort, it felt good to look a little myself again and I noticed how the baby bump that was still slightly there didn't seem so noticeable now. I was just packing the nappy changing bag when I heard the door knock, I quickly went to open the door.

"Oh Tom, what are you doing here so early in the morning?" I ask seeing Tom stood there holding to Costa coffee cups in his hand smiling at me.

"Well you didn't think I'd forget you just had my grand daughter and leave you fending yourself did you? Plus I come baring hot chocolate" Tom says hand me a cup.

"Oh, thankyou, I really need this since I haven't been shopping yet and there's no milk for me to make a cuppa, infact we were about to go to the supermarket, but please come in." I say

"Well how about I help you do the food shopping then?" Tom suggests.

"Are you sure? Doesn't Lisa and Karen need you at home?" I ask puzzled

"Oh, I've already made them breakfast and Karen feels bad as well as I not being able to be the grandparents we want to be these past few days, so we agreed today I'd come see if you and Skylar. If your have me for the day, plus it was Karen's suggestion to come so early. Infact Karen's words were mornings was the hardest when she had Ryan and she wished people came over so she could shower or eat for a hour so told me to cone early. So I'm here early incase you needed any of that but looks like your doing really well being ready to leave the house already" he Says.

"Oh okay well after shopping we have a health visitor appointment to get Skylar weighed you can come along if you want. All I have to do is finish packing the nappy changing bag then we will be set for the day, do you want to get Skylar settled into the car ready while i finish packing the changing bag?" I ask.

"Okay, give me the car keys and I will get Skylar settled in the car then" Tom says.

With that it didn't take long before we were on the way to the supermarket. I decided to let Tom drive as I know he is always a nervous passenger whenever Sean drives.

"Tom, did Karen ever go to mum and baby groups? When she had Ryan, Sean and Lisa? My health viator keeps suggesting them but I'm not sure I want to go or not my mum said they use to irrate her. I'd like to make some mum friends but I can't be dealing with something annoying at the same time so I'm undecided." I say

"No Karen didn't go our friends had baby's around the same time so they were just always together anyway sharing the experiences, but I think it would help you to have a few mum friends as well, it's completely up to you and if you don't want to go alone to try them out me or Karen can come along with you if you like." Tom says

"Okay, I will think about it but I'm still undecided." I say.

The rest of the drive to the supermarket we just chatted about how the night feeds went. And how I managed to be ready so early today.
