CHAPTER 33 back to the house

SUMMERS POV

I woke to Sean wrapping a arm around my waist and placing a kiss on my cheek. "Hmm what time is it?" I ask.

"5:45am, shh go back to sleep" Sean says.

"What I slept through all the night feeds why didn't you wake me?" I ask.

"Because I'm going back to work today unexpectedly, you will have a better day being well rested, plus I wanted to spend some time with Skylar also so after my shower, we went to the spare room last night. Now shh go back to sleep I want to catch a few hours sleep cuddled up to you" Sean says followed by a quick kiss to my forehead.

"Fine" I say snuggling in a little closer resting my head on his chest.

"What time do you have to leave?" I ask.

"Shh, I will stay to help out with the next feed, that way you can wake up a little then I will head in. Plus it doesn't matter if I'm slightly later than usual. There's no meetings this morning and I stayed late last night. Now stop worrying and sleep" Sean says while rubbing my back gently with his fingers.

"And what time are you finishing?" I ask.

"I promise to be back for 5:30pm is that okay?" He asks nervously.

"Not like I have a choice, everyone said there be here as long as needed but everyone disappears back to there normal life's. You may as well go to work your standard time. I can't sleep now, I'm going for a shower" I say going to get out if bed. But Sean doesn't let me go he holds his arms around my body and waist.

"Summer, I don't want to leave you and Skylar just yet, that I promise if I could stay forever I'd do that but it's only work. Plus I will be back this evening and can help over night again" Sean says.

"Just go to work then, I snap.

"Oh come on, your be fine I'm a phone call away, my parents and siblings will be there for you as well if you need them" he says while still not letting me go considering I'm still squirming around trying to escape.

"No, there to busy seeing to Lisa, your mum didn't even hold Skylar yesterday as Lisa clung to her continously, so how can they help you fool." I say.

"Really, mum didn't even hold Skylar?" He asks shocked.

"No she didn't! so tell me how can she be a grandma that offers support atm when her time is filled with Lisa which is understandable." I say.

"Hmm, I will talk to mum okay? But you have everyone I swear" Sean says.

"Sean just let me get ready for my day, I knew this day would come! I told you everyone would go back to there normal life's, therefore it's time I crack on with it. Now let me go!" I say.

"Okay, but I'm still not leaving until after Skylars next bottle feed" he says while letting me go.

I head straight for the bathroom to shower.

SEAN'S POV

Since Summer has gotten up she has been acting more quiet and more distanced. I actually debated letting the company fall to pieces to stay with my girls. But instead I'm now heading to my car for work. I quickly ring my mum putting her on speaker while I get myself sorted and start the engine.

RING RING RI

"Morning Sean how's Summer and Skylar this morning?" my mum asks.

"Oh so now you remember them?" I say.

"What's wrong?" My mum asks worried.

"Well Summer seems pissed off I'm going back to work. Actually her words were 'I told you everyone would leave me to get back to there life's.' Which she did tell me as we discovered her postnatal depression, then her parents had to fly home unexpectedly and now I'm going back to work so dad can help you with Lisa. But then when I tell Summer your all be there for her she says you won't as you didn't even hold Skylar yesterday, as Lisa clung to you like glue which she understands. But she says how can you be a supporting grandma when you have to be there for Lisa. So tell me mum why didn't you hold Skylar yesterday?" I say ranting.

"I'm sorry Sean, I didn't not want to hold Skylar but like Summer said Lisa wouldn't let go of me. And I think Summer is right Im not going to be much help but your father will be able to help Skylar if she needs it." my mum says.

"Well that's just great isn't it, dad said your all be able to help Summer if need be but here I am going back to work and she is clearly on her own!" I say then i hang up the phone.

She trys to ring back but I just ignore it. I can't be dealing with my mum right now.

Once I arrive at work I decided to quickly ring Summer but she didn't answer.

So I quickly typed a text out

To Wifey

I'm sorry I had to come back to work, but I promise if you need anything just ring me and I will be there for you both.

I hope you both have a lovely day love you both xxx

It doesn't take long for a reply to come through.

We will be fine

I quickly type a reply

To wifey

I'm sure you will be, what are your plans for today? Love you both xxx

A reply quickly comes through

Wifey

We are staying home.

So I quickly respond

To wifey

Okay have a great day love you both xxx

I then decided to crack on with more paperwork.

SUMMERS POV

I decided since everyone is going back to there normal life's so I'm going home with Skylar, it's about time I got home to my normal life. Shan has been quiet these past few days so I'm sure we will be fine. I've packed everything up loaded the car, and now me and Skylar are pulling into our house. Expect there's a security guard stood outside my door.

"What are you doing outside of my house?" I ask the tall blonde security guard.

"My company was hired to protect the house, please could I see some identification before I allow in you in Miss." he says.

"Are you serious!" I say annoyed. I quickly pull out my drivers licence and show the bloke.

"I'm sorry I had to check please go in but I will remain outside until next shift take over" he states.

"Who hired you?" I ask.

"That will be Mr King madam." he says.

"Please call me Summer and one last thing don't inform them I'm here. Also you can help carry the stuff in my baby is due to wake up soon. And you already delayed me" I say.

"What?" he says.

"Don't what me start getting the suitcases out the boot" I say heading for the car to take the Skylar out. Then I go unlock the door and head on in.

Once I've got Skylar into the mosebasket I go to get the bags from the hallway.

"This is the last one" the security guard says.

"Thanks would you like a cuppa?" I ask.

"No thankyou, I will get back to my post." he says.

"Okay" I say closing the door. I then get to work unpacking what I can before Skylar wakes up.

I'm one suitcase down when my brother Simon rings me.

"Hey Simon how are you?" I ask.

"I'm good wanted to see how you and Skylar are doing." Simon says.

"We are okay, I'm just unpacking as came back home today." I say.

"How come I thought you were at yours and Seans apartment?" He asks.

"Well, because Sean has gone back to work so I figured it's time to get back to normal." I say.

"Okay, well if you need anything ring me I will come down if need be. Plus talking of which how do you fancy me coming down Friday night? I've got Saturday free so I can head down Friday spend time with you and my niece" he says in a cheerful mood.

"Really your coming down? What time? We can't wait! Your really really come see us" I practically shout.

"Yes I swear I will be down Friday, I will aim to arrive for 4pm okay?" He says laughing at me.

"Thankyou I can't wait. We should watch a movie and pig out on popcorn like we use to growing up." I say.

"Only if it's the grinch movie is involved" Simon says.

"Yeah of course followed by any other Christmas movies, it's a crime to not watch Christmas movies in December." I say.

"Okay, I will bring the munch you provide the movies, we can show Skylar what December is all about. Talking of which I've brought Skylar some cute little Christmas outfits as well as a few Christmas blankets and a santa Teddy, I couldn't resist" my brother says.

"Thanks I bet its all super cute." I say.

"Okay well it was just a quick call while I had a break, but I will see you both Friday, if you need me before just ring" Simon says.

"off course I will ring you if I need you, but we will be fine. See you Friday love you bye." I say.

Simon just laughs saying "bye as I hang up the phone."

SEAN'S POV

RING RING RING RIN

"Hi Leo, what's up?"

"Well, you know I have security guards outside Summers house, I have them call in everything from postman leaflets ect even bin men. So far that's all its been until half hour ago. It was texted in Summer has returned home" leo says

"What, she went home? Is she still there?" I say.

"Yes, she hasn't left it also says she made the security guard help take her suitcases indoors and offered him a cuppa" he adds on.

I knew she wasnt fine this morning! Damn it first day back at work and she runs off back to hers! I think to myself. "Leo she thinks everyone is getting back to there life's, I'm not sure I will be able to convince her to come back to mine so now I want 3 security guards during the day and 5 for night time. There safety means everything to me understood." I say.

"Don't worry I already doubled everything a extra security guard should be arriving as we speak infact the best until I found out what you wanted to do" leo says.

"But your the best you always say so." I say laughing.

"I know I'm pulled up in a car until you arrive you fool! Don't worry I won't go in and startle Summer but I expect a cuddle with Skylar when you arrive as payment for my time" he says chripy.

"Okay, thanks I'm on my way." I say

On the way out I decided to ring my dad.

RING RING RI

"hey Sean" my dad says.

"Dad did Summer ring any of you today?" I ask.

"No" my dad says.

"Did she turn up or anything?" I ask.

"No son, what's happened?" He asks.

"Well dad, I left this morning, knowing she clearly felt abandoned by everyone and upset but now she has gone back to the house! Leo just rang saying she arrived around a hour ago. She even had the security guard help her inside with the bloody suitcases." I say.

" Oh, she does seem upset indeed, maybe I shouldn't of made you come off maternity leave so early. Has she spoke with you since been at work? " He asks.

"Yeah saying she will be fine and that there staying home today. Clearly she ment not the apartment now and her house. Damn it how do I fix this one dad?" I ask.

"I'm not sure, but good luck." my dad says.

"Thanks, I have a feeling I'm gonna need it anyway I've gotta go I'm just reaching the car." I say.

"Alright speak to you later" he says.

"Bye dad" I say before hanging up.

The whole drive to Summers house I was thinking of ways I can make Summer happy as she is clearly upset with me to go home. I drove as fast as I could and reached there in record time.

I pulled up behind Leo, who got out his car see me arrive and leaned against his car.

"What took you so long?" Leo asks.

"What i got here mega quickly." I say

"Alright let's go I wanna see Skylar." Leo says.

"Okay, follow me" I grumble walking past leo.

"Sir" says the security guard.

"Stay out here more are on there way now miss ballard has returned there will be more here all the times" leo says as I knock the door.

It doesn't take Summer to answer it.

"Sean, Leo what are you both doing here?" Summer asks.

"Well I was alerted as a precaution that you arrived, so I thought I'd come check in on you. Plus I'd really love to see Skylar as well" says Leo.

"And Leo told me you came here so I wanted to make sure you were okay as well, and see why you decided to come home." I quickly added on.

"Well Leo your timing is good Skylar is just waking up how about you feed Skylar her bottle while i have a word with Sean here?" Summer says walking off to the kitchen. But as she reaches the middle of the hallway she stops and turns around. "Sean show Leo to the front room, Skylar is in the mosebasket" she says before continuing to the kitchen.

"Come on Summer will be back really quickly with Skylar bottle." I say to Leo showing him the way.

Leo follows me and takes a seat while I go over and pick Skylar up. "How's daddy's little girl" I say before giving Skylar a kiss on the forehead.

"Come on little princess uncle Leo is excited to see you" I say handing Skylar over to Leo.

"Oh, so dinky still" leo says taking Skylar into his arms with a huge smile on his face.

"So is Skylar going to be Christian? If so can I be God Father?" Leo suddenly asks.

"We will think about it if we decide on that" Summer says walking back into the room with Skylar bottle.

"Okay even if you don't I can still be god father" Leo says as of it doesn't matter, no matter what he has made his mind up.

I can't help laughing as summer hands over the bottle and shows Leo how to support Skylar head so she can take the bottle better.

"Sean a word in a kitchen" Summer then says turning and glaring at me.

"Sure" I say with a smile, but I don't feel to happy right now, I know this isn't going to go well just by Summers thunderous face.
