SEAN'S POV

I couldn't sleep last night as I simply missed Summer and Skylar. I also kept checking my phone and making sure it was on loud incase Summer texted or rang me but she didn't. I haven't heard anything yet this morning and I wasn't sure weather to Ring or not incase they were sleeping, if Summer had a rough night with Skylar and now they were asleep I didn't want to wake them up. I couldn't even focus on work this morning barely getting anything done yet its 11:10am now.

I decided sending a message now should be okay.

Good morning, hope you both slept well. How are you both this morning? Did you have a good night with Skylar? Miss you both give Skylar a kiss for me and tell her daddy loves her. Love you to xxx

To my surprise a reply came really quickly

We had a good night, Skylar is fine. We not long got back from food shopping with your dad about to go out for lunch as your dad insisted on treating me to lunch as a thankyou for giving him a granddaughter. Then your dad will join me for the health visitor appointment this afternoon.

Oh crap i forgot about that I couldn't help but mentally slap myself across the face for being so stupid. But I'm relieved my dad is spending the day with Summer and Skylar which I didn't expect since I thought he was with my mum and sister. I quickly replied.

I'm glad you had a good night and Skylar is okay. My dad went food shopping? I thought he hated shopping. I'm sorry I completely forgot about the health visitor and I have a meeting this afternoon I can't get out of let me know when the next one is and I will make sure to be there. Where are you going for lunch? Xxx

I grabbed my jacket and car keys and headed out of the office.

"Josh I'm taking a early lunch but I will be back soon" I say heading towards the lift.

As I'm getting into the car PING

It's okay, Im sure we can mange a health visitor appointment it's mainly checking Skylar weight gain and growth anyway. Your dad is taking me to a restaurant called Poppins and he also seemed to enjoy shopping pushing the cart around getting so many 'aww she is so cute' comments from other shoppers regarding Skylar.

I couldn't help chuckle at that. Skylar was the cutess baby ever and she was mine, she has mine and Summers genes of course she was going to draw attention at her cuteness I thought starting the car up heading out the car park. I then drove to the restaurant summer mentioned. It didn't take to long and I put the heater and radio on for the journey. I see a santa on the side of the road ringing his bell with a charity bucket reminding me that the company hadn't put there the tree up yet for staff to place a present underneath for children in care. Each year since I took over the company we changed it from secret santa exchanging gifts to buy a present for children who were less likely to get gifts at Christmas, I was surpised how well the staff took it some even brought more than one gift knowing that for every present under the tree I'd buy the amount of presents to double it as well as buy all staff a hamper each year, plus I still kept the annual Christmas party for the staff to. As I pulled up to the restaurant, I see my dad and Summer hadn't arrived yet so I quickly called Josh.

"Mr King is everything okay? you not long left for lunch?" Josh asked answering the phone.

"Yes Josh, with everything going on I forgot we haven't yet put the giving tree up in the lobby can you have someone sort this as soon as possible, as well as send a email out to everyone that it will be up by the end of day and to remember that all gifts will be matched come the 20th of December to give to the children in time for Christmas. Can you also have hampers sorted for all staff Christmas presents. I know the Christmas party was sorted 2 months ago so announce the venue to staff with all the details also please." I say

" Of course anything else?" Josh asks.

"No that will be it, but remember to take your lunch as well. I know it's last minute but don't forget to take your lunch." I say

"I will do and don't worry I can have everything in motion before you get back." I say

"Thankyou enjoy your lunch" I say before I hang up.

I see it's 11:53pm so I know Summer and my dad won't be much longer. I'm glad it's not raining infact this winter has been good, cold but not as rainy as it usually is for a winter. I think to myself.

Sean what are you doing here I hear my dad shout coming around the corner.

"Well Summer said you were treating her to lunch here, so I figured I'd join you both for lunch before I have a meeting this afternoon." I say

"Well in that case your paying then" my dad says and Summer starts laughing.

"What but it's your treat isn't it?" I say

"It was but now your here son you can pay, since I'm retired my money isn't as good as yours" he laughs.

"Fine it's my treat let's get inside it's cold out here." I say

"That will teach you to hijack others lunch plans" summer says pushing the buggy, towards the door I'm holding open.

"It's worth it for extra time with my girls" I say back.

A waitress quickly hurrys over as soon as we are all through the door.

"Hi, I'm Sally your waitress for today if you would follow me, I can sit you at a table. Will you be requiring a highchair?" she say

"No she is only 2 weeks old" says Summer.

"Oh a tiny baby, it's okay we can make space for the buggy next to the table, may I have a look I love baby's" Sally asks.

"Of course you can" Summer says smiling folding down the hood to the pram to let the lady get a look at Skylar.

"Oh, so beautiful congratulations now let's get you placed at table please follow me." Sally says

We all follow the waitress to a table and sure enough she removed some chairs to have the buggy next to us.

"Okay here's the menus would you like any drinks while you wait?" Sally asks as soon as we are all seated.

"Strawberry milkshake please" my dad Says.

"Can u have a mocha please." I say

"And could I grab a bottle of water please" Summer says

With that the waitress hurrys off to get drinks.

"Dad, do you think you and mum will make the annual Christmas work party this year?" I ask

"Im not sure, I'm hoping your mum can talk Lisa into it" he says with a worried look.

"I don't think Lisa will cope with that, she hasn't left the house yet" Summer says.

"I know that's what I'm worried about" my dad replys.

"Okay, Summer would you like to come?" I ask

"Me? Are you crazy do you forget we have a baby? who would look after Skylar, plus I don't want to leave Skylar to go off partying she is still to little!" Summer says annoyed.

"Okay, I just wanted to check, I have no choice I have to go though." I say

"Then go who said I'm stopping you from going?!" Summer says.

"Here's your drinks" the waitress says placing the drinks on the table. We all say our thanks.

"Okar are we ready to order?" the waitress asks.

"Can I gave the lasagna please" my dad says.

"I will have the spaghetti bolognas with garlic bread side" summer says.

"Oh make that 2 garlic breads" my dad says.

"I will have the rump steak with chips and side salad please." I say

"Okay anything else?" The waitress looks at as all.

"No we are good thanks" I say waiting a second to see if Summer or my dad adds anything else but they give looks to say nothing else. And the waitress hurrys off with our orders.

"I didn't say you was stopping me from going Summer, I was simply saying I have no choice but to go, but I'd rather spend time with Skylar if I'm honest." I say

"If you say so, I'm not getting in the way of your Christmas party obligations and I'm certainly not joining you, I will be home looking after Skylar." Summer says

My dad shakes his head at me disapproving at my decision.

"What?" I ask my dad.

"You have alot to learn about women and parenting son! There's working and then there's partying, do you think I went to the Christmas party's when you kids where younger?" He says.

"I know you went, I use to beg you to take me with you!" I say

"Yeah when you were old enough to remember, when you were all little baby's and toddlers I didn't always go and if I did I would stay for 20 minutes before going back to help your mum with you all." I say.

"It's okay Tom he can go to his Christmas party, I'm just not going with him me and Skylar will be fine" Summer Says.

"No, it's not okay Summer, you know it isn't, I know it isn't and he should learn his priorities better now he is a father, if it was a work meeting then fair enough but it's the Christmas party and Skylar is still a newborn baby. plus it's my job as a dad to guide Sean in how to be a good dad, also I can't tell him what to do but I can show my disapproval at his choices to guide him the right way" my dad says.

"Okay, I get it" I say throwing my hands up!

They both look at me without saying anything.

"Now let's not argue and enjoy lunch together" I say suggest. Although Skylar then starts to cry saving me from any more lectures. Summer gets Skylar out of the pram then gets the baby bag. "Sean can you get Skylars bottle prepared please" Summer asks.

"Sure, but can I feed Skylar as well? I've missed her and want to feed her" I ask with pleading eyes.

"Okay here you take her, while I prepare the bottle for you" Summer says.

SUMMERS POV

The rest of the afternoon flew by quickly Tom had came along to the health visitor with me and Skylar then dropped us home before going home himself thanking me for letting him spend the day with us. While Skylar was still asleep I cleaned the kitchen and steriled Skylars bottles. I then decided to clean the bathroom quickly half way through the door knocked so I went to get it. Was some delivery bloke with a package. I wasn't expecting let alone any parcels and it was In my name, but just a mediumish box that weighed abit for the size of it. I opened it up to discover a wedding dress torn with red writing across it it bold letters it read, DIDNT THINK I FORGOT ABOUT YOU DID YOU? I KNOW WHAT YOU DID! YOU TOOK AWAY MY FAMILY BUSINESS THE SAME WEEK LEAVING ME IN HOSPITAL! I WILL RECOVER AND I'M COMING FOR YOU!

I threw it back in the box and walked outside to throw it straight in the bin! I knew who it was from it was obivously Shan again, but I didn't know what she ment by being put in hospital, I did nothing wrong. I looked at the time and see it was only 3:18pm that ment Sean would still be at work and he was the one with answers to this. With that in mind, I knew where I was going next. I quickly went and got Skylar settled into the car and we drove straight towards Seans company he was going to give me answers to what the hell was going on and he could fix it! I was fed up with all this crap. All I wanted was to enjoy being a new mum but with so many hurdles in the way from others it was frustrating and made my blood boil. I just prayed Skylar would stay asleep while we made our way to the company, I knew she would be due a feed soon so I had a bottle made up ready, from the ready made formula since it last longer than the powder formula you buy, that way it would make life easier if she does wake up. It started raining during the drive so when we arrived I decided to put Skylar into the baby sling I had in the car already with skylar.

Then I wrapped a blanket around the sling and grabbed the umbrella and baby changing bag before getting out the car. I quickly put the umbrella up so that me and Skylar wouldn't get wet being extra careful making sure Skylar wouldn't get wet at least, then we headed straight for the company building. After walking through the doors, I handed the umbrella to a security guard. "Keep hold of this a second please" I said

"Of course" he says and then I walked off.

"Ben don't bother warning Sean" I say walking past the front desk.

"Okay, I wont how are you and little one doing though?" Ben asks.

"We are okay thanks, I will stop by soon but right now I have to deal with some fool" I say pressing the lift button.

"Oh dear what did he do this time?" Ben asks

"Well that's what I'm about to find out." I say.

"Ooo" is all Ben says as the lift doors open.
