Chapter 38 a enjoyable day

SEAN'S POV

I had just got of a video phone call with Dillian, Leo and logan. They all had personal invites to the Christmas party and mine with there's for there company's. However I declined all of there's saying I wanted to be with Summer and Skylar as much as possible and they all truely understood which is why, there my best mates after all. I also hounded them for there donations to the kids giving Christmas tree which is now up in the lobby of my company. We then discussed how Dillian know's people inside the prison and a certain rapist is about to be attacked within the next few coming days. That was music to my ears.

And then we talked about how we can sort Shan out after her latest stunt. We have no idea how to sort her crazy ass but there going to brain storm some ideas and get back to me. I hope its soon because I'm out of ideas, although I think it's more because I'm tired.

PING I looked at my phone to see who messaged and broke me out of my thoughts

Won't be able to make lunch today sorry, Ryan and luke have come by and we are going shopping and since I hardly get to see luke and I'm sure Ryan will be going home before long I want to spend as much time with them as possible. Have a good day at work.

I honestly don't mind and was surpised to know luke was here now, I thought it would be a few more days yet.

I didn't play tricks last night and don't tell me you didn't enjoy being cuddled up to me and sharing the night feeds with me because I know you secretly love it as much as I do. I can't help but think to myself I should just keep a over night bag in my car just incase for future reference however I will win her heart back again fully one day.

Then with that I headed for the meeting.

As I walk into the meeting room I hear Ping

If you get to bored, I can always come crash the meeting for you like yesterday I'm sure Ryan would love to see that. Followed by a picture message of Skylar sound asleep in her pram.

I couldn't help smiling at that. Although I'm sure everyone in the room wouldn't be happy about it.

Sorry everyone for being late and for the disturbance yesterday.

"Don't worry I've got a wife twice as bad" nigal says laughing, which makes half the men in the room laughing with knowing looks.

"Hey we ain't that bad" lacey say.

"Alright let's not get into arguements, I'm sure we all want this meeting finished as quickly as possible" I say. Everyone agrees and we continue the meeting.

The rest of the day flew by pretty quickly and me and Summer exchanged a few more messages. Before I knew it was 4:48pm I decided to leave the office earlier and headed for the Chinese take away.

SUMMERS POV

I was sat a winding Skylar at home when my phone started ringing I see it was Sean.

"Hey" I say answering the phone.

"Hey, just wondering if Ryan and luke are with you still?" Sean asks.

"No they left around half hour ago, how come?" I ask.

"I'm at the Chinese place and wondered if I needed to get anything for them also that's all" he says.

"No you got lucky they already left." I say.

"Okay you want your usual? Beef curry, chicken chow main with pork balls?" He asks.

"Yeah and a spring roll as well please, I didn't really eat much at lunch and seem hungry." I say

"You sure your manage it all?" He questions.

"If not that's tomorrows lunch sorted out so yeah It won't go to waste." I say

"Okay then your wish is my command, I will be with you soon. Is Skylar awake or asleep? Hang on two minutes" he quickly adds on. I hear him say our food order and pay for the food. "Okay I'm back" he says.

"Yes Skylar is currently awake, I'm just winding her now actually then shall be changing her nappy, although she been awake for about a hour at first she didn't want her bottle when she woke up was more interested in just watching the lights coming from the TV and Christmas tree but after 20 minutes she then wanted her bottle." I say.

"Aww, that's so cute hopefully she will be awake when I turn up so I can have a quick cuddle, but I'm betting she will probably be asleep again by then" Sean says.

"Probably be asleep, I think she is starting to get tired as her eyes seem a little heavy again. but you can always wake her in a few hours for bath then have cuddles during a feed if you like?" I say.

"Okay sounds like a plan I will be there soon" Sean says.

"Okay see you soon." I say

"Love you, bye" Sean quickly adds before hanging up the phone.

"Your daddy sure is persistent little lady, what do you think mummy should do fully give him a second chance or not?" I ask.

Skylar just looks at me like she usually does, not a care in the world. "Of course you won't tell mummy, silly mummy aye thinking a baby could give me the answers." I say Then Skylar quickly smiles at me. "Omg she just smiled, oh my little princess just gave me her first ever smile! how I wish I got it on camera." I say out loud to no one inpultucular I'm just so excited by this that I'm rambling on.

I kiss Skylar then decided to change her nappy quickly smiling the whole time as I'm so happy Skylar smiled at me her mummy for her first ever smile. After I changed her nappy, I cuddled Skylar into my arms while I rang Sean.

RING RING RING

"hey you okay?" Sean asks.

"Oh my god Sean, Skylar gave me her first ever smile she actually smiled it was so cute." I say super excited.

"Aww, I missed her first smile" he moans.

"Yeah and she smiled at me." I say with excitement still.

"What was she smiling about? What did you do to get Skylar to smile?" he asks.

"Well I was just talking about you after you hung up, then asked Skylar a question before saying silly mummy of course a baby can't answer then she smiled." I say.

"Aww that's so cute. So what was the question you asked?" Sean asks.

"Never mind, it's not important it's now mine and Skylar secret and she won't tell you either." I say

Sean just laughs at that.

"Okay well, I'm going to go see you when you get here" I say thenI hung up the phone quickly.

I notice Skylar is drifting off to sleep and I can't help but think how such a lovely day it has been and it is ending even more perfect just by my beautiful baby girl smiling at me, it literally filled my heart and soul with so much joy.

Okay I will get the plates ready Skylar is just falling asleep. See you soon.

I went and got the plates ready with cutlery. Then I made some orange juice and quickly drank it.

RING RING RING RING.

"Hey mum" I say answering the phone

"Hey sweetie how are you?" My mum asks

"I'm good how are you and dad?" I ask

"We are missing you and Skylar but we are okay. What have you been up to?" my mum asks.

"Well we went shopping with Ryan and luke today, I brought so many new clothes and shoes for me and Skylar. Oh I also brought you a lovely jumper and some nice boots also a hand bag. I got dad some trainers and movie as well. Sean will be here soon with dinner and to see Skylar." I say

" You didn't need to buy us so many things. And how are things going with Sean? " my mum asks.

"Well he went back to work and Sean is Sean I suppose, I'm doing surprisingly well not having people around during the day although Sean comes by the evenings, but ended up staying last night after he fell asleep on the sofa." I say

"That's good your coping well have you seen anyone else?" My mum asks.

"I saw Tom yesterday he helped me do food shopping and had lunch with us as well came to the health visitor with me. Oh and Simon is coming to stay tomorrow night as well. And I've also seen Katy as well" I say.

"Oh I just spoke with Simon, yet he didn't tell me the little devil" my mum moans.

"Ha, I will tell him you called him a little devil when I see him tomorrow." I say

"I'm sure you will, right since Sean is bringing you dinner I will keep the call short and sweet but send me some pictures of my grand baby I miss you both." my mum says

"I will do mum, speak to you soon send my love to dad love you to." I say

"We love you to honey bye." my mum says

Then I hung up the phone.

I quickly sent over the last few photos I've taken of Skylar to my mum and dad.

I then go sit and watch greys anatomy while waiting for Sean to arrive.

20 minutes later I hear the door open and Sean announces," I'm here with the food and my over night bag."

That bloke was serious about that? I think to myself.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah I'm going to the kitchen with the food" he says.

I go to the kitchen and see Sean wearing a black suit with a light grey shirt and silver tie.

"Don't worry, I brought the chocolate bar as well like I said I would" Sean says pointing to the side.

"I see what's going on bribery in order for you to bring a over night bag" I say starting to dish up the Chinese pots he puts on one plate.

"Well is it working?" Sean asks.

"Im not sure." I say

Sean quickly says "in that case then I shall be taking my Chinese back while trying to take the plate away from me that I'm dishing up on slowly so I don't spill the curry sauce."

"Alright fine the bag can stay" I say laughing.

"Really?" Sean says,

"yeah of course the bag can, you though your a different story" I say laughing and grabbing the plate.

"Hmm, don't worry I won't steal the food! your free to eat it, I can put a plea in for myself since the over bag night won simply by food I'm sure I can win pretty easily to" he says laughing while dishing up his food on his plate. I just look at Sean with amusement but he just continues to laugh at me as I dish up my chicken chow main.

I then grab a bowl for my pork balls and spring roll then place them on a tray before going back to the front room. As I leave the kitchen I simply say "thanks for dinner, don't worry I can keep your over night bag company so it won't miss you while your not here."

"Ha! You really think your funny don't you" Sean says laughing.

"Think? Who says I think? I know so now shh, I've got my program on with good food that is begging me to demolish it." I say

Sean just laughs following me into the front room while sitting on the sofa.

After we finish eating I quickly wash the plates up while sorting the left over in a tub ready for lunch tomorrow. Sean drys the plates even though I insisted he didn't have to. I then put on a load of washing before walking into the front room to watch some more TV. As I walk in I see Sean is sat in my chair just looking at Skylar so I lay down on the sofa and see special victim unit is on.

"If your tired go get some sleep" Sean says.

"I'm not tired and thanks for dinner." I say

"No need to thank me, I'm surpised you ate so much though" Sean says.

"Hmm I was hungry though" I say, then watch the TV.

The next thing I know I feel arms sliding under my legs and back and I'm being lift.

I open my eyes to see Sean.

"Shh, you fell asleep so I'm just taking you to bed." Sean says I close my eyes and rest my head against Seans chest as he carrys me up to bed. As he lays me down I see Skylar is already in the next to me crib fast asleep and in cute pale pink baby grow.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"11:30pm you slept through Skylar waking up and me bathing her" Sean says.

"Omg did I really? What if you wasn't here I'd of not woken up" I say panicked.

"To be fair she didn't really cry loud and as soon as she started to cry I picked her up and took her out the room to not wake you up. If it wasn't for that I'm sure you would of woke up" Sean says.

"Really? What if I didn't though? I'd be a terrible person if I Didnt that." I say

"Summer you always wake up to Skylar, trust me you wouldn't do that" Sean says laying down next to me while wrapping his arm around my waist.

"You should of woke me sooner, it's late now." I say

"No you needed to sleep and like I said before I'd rather be tired at work if it means I get more time with you and Skylar, I will happily be tired." Sean says
