First date

623 Words
Later that evening, Cassie went to her bathroom and just let the warm showers run down her slim, curvy body. She had wasp-like curves which got men salivating. Each one of them promised to treat her like a queen if she accepted their proposals, forgetting that Cassie was already a queen even without them. First, she thought about Jerry, then the doctor. "I hope this works. It has to. I need this… I can't wait to have my baby. I just can't wait for this to work." She would be the happiest girl in the world. All she needed at the moment was a positive mind. Like anyone else, her mind had to be fixed on a positive eventual outcome. Going to bed that night, everything seemed to have changed, including her mood. Jerry had been God-sent, and Cassie had already forgotten that he was abusive at first. She loved him dearly and even started imagining some other things. Only if all men knew how to treat girls like Jerry did, Cassie was certain girls all over the world would always stick with such men. On the other hand, Jerry was on top of his world. He had once had fears that some fast-talking campus dude would take his girlfriend away. He did not have her contacts and was not active on social media. That was the reason he knew nothing about Cassie after she left. He had also moved to Los Angeles, a year after she left and had worked tirelessly until he became the owner of a real estate company. Like most Americans, Jerry was close to living his dream of being an affluent man. Jerry had good friends who shared in his ambitions. One of them was Francesco. With his parents and siblings living in the Virgin Island, Jerry decided that he was going to stay with Francesco in his apartment. At thirty-five, he was not yet married. That was despite him having a lot of money and climbing ranks in his career to the point that he was the CEO of the Obama Breweries, a multi-million company. The next day Jerry woke up at 7.30 AM. It was on a Saturday and Francesco was seated on the couch in their living room. He had his mobile phone in his hands, most likely he was having a chat with a model. That was what rich men of his age did. "Hey, you are here. So, how do I look?" Jerry said as he stretched his hands in the air. "You look good," Francesco answered him. "I look good, right? I hope she thinks so too. I'm telling you, man, I feel good!" "She? You are going to see a woman?" Frank could not believe it. "Yes!" "When did you come back to this state that you are already going to see a woman?" "Bro come down okay? She is not just a woman or any woman. She is special, she has class, okay? I think she likes me. She used to be all over me back then in school." "Wow, good for you!" Said Francesco. "I feel good but I just want to know if I look good." Said Jerry, moving to look at himself in the mirror on the wall. "Wait, why are you excited about this lady? I have a feeling you are about to fall into the worst place ever!" "And what is that place?" "Love!" Francesco told him. "Come on man. It is just a date, okay? And love is not a bad thing." "You think so?" "Yeah, I am just linking up with an old schoolmate, okay? Stop this. Take care. I am not in love. I'm out." And with that, Jerry left the house.
