Flashback.
I gave myself a mental countdown of one minute before making the decision to leave the staff room. I still have the urge to urinate, so I went to the restroom to do so. After that, I looked at my own reflection in the mirror to see what it said about me. Today is the day of my wedding.
I really ought to be glad. If all goes according to plan, today will be the happiest day of my life. But then everything went in the opposite direction. I believe that today is one of the most depressing days of my entire life. I am well aware that the Anderson family won't immediately welcome me into their fold. I am aware that we still have a ways to go. But I never in a million years expected that Gareth's relatives would say something so savage and hateful.
