“Ok, ok I was in your house to apply my gift to you.” Oliver said, what gift did he have?
“Gift, what is your “Gift”.” I said looking at Oliver with confusion.
“Dream alteration is my gift; I can alter and make any dream good or bad.” Oliver said, moving his hands around his head.
“Ok,” I said, pinching the bridge of my nose and shutting my eyes, “So you BROKE into my HOUSE to test your gift on ME.” I finished and I looked at Oliver, who was looking at his feet.
“That is one way of looking at it, but I didn’t break in per say,” Oliver said looking a bit guilty, “ I got in your house before you shut the door and hid till you fell asleep, which took quite a bit.” So that was why I felt someone watching me.
“You are damn lucky I don’t kick your butt right now, because I can.” I said, pacing back and forth.
“And you won’t because…?” Oliver said, inching closer (bad idea)
“Because… You are a good friend and a good listener.” I said, looking down at the ground and then looking up at the clear blue sky.
“Oh,” Oliver said, “But I couldn’t get to your dreams, day dreams yes, but not you actual night dreams.”
“Why not?” I asked, kind of curious and relived at the same time.
“You have what is called a dream wall, it blocks things from escaping in the day and stays in at night, and I can’t get past it. It is only the lighter dreams, like a dream about a place or anything else lighter, that I can get to.” Oliver finished, it was kind of cool that he could do what he says he can do.
“Ah, what about your dreams; can’t you alter them?” I asked, I was serious about this and I was also still ticked off.
“No, I honestly don’t know why, when I was made, into what I am, I was gifted with this ability.” Oliver said, shrugging and sitting on the sidewalk.
“Ah, but why me though?” I asked, looking into his deep, dark, beautiful eyes. Beautiful eyes, what on earth is wrong with me?
“I got extremely curious and I wanted to find out.” Oliver said and if vampires could blush, Oliver could’ve.
“Ok, I’m still REALLY mad but I do forgive you.” I said and Oliver looked up at me with a smile.
“Sweet, Rose I can also,” Oliver said, looking at me and reaching for my hand, “share dreams.”
“Share dreams, what do you mean?” I asked, not fully understanding it all.
“Here let me show you.” Oliver said, held out his hand.
I grabbed Oliver’s hand and I looked into his eyes and saw his dreams that he remembers, one in particular caught my attention: It was of me standing on a hill, in a white dress and just looking out the horizon. I admit it was awesome, but holding Oliver’s wrist was getting too static for my taste and I let go.
“Wow, I mean wow, that was awesome, when did you learn to do that?” I asked, trying to contain my enthusiasm.
“I guess I learned a year after I was made.” Oliver said, turning his hand over to look at each side.
I asked maybe a billion questions about Oliver and how he was made and so on; it was amazing to talk to someone who was nice and compassionate, I only wish I wasn’t in l-o-v-e with him. It WAS amazing until I felt a shiver as heavy as snow being dumped on my back and I knew Oliver was going to see something that would give him nightmares for a long time.
“Oliver I am really sorry you would have to see this, but I think it’s time you knew the truth about who I really am.” I said and then I walked to the middle of the street and pulled out my weapons I had on hand, Oliver’s face was in utter shock when almost five hundred vampires circled me.
I kicked, punched and killed all but three vampires, two were undecided and the other was rouge. The rouge and I got into battle, the rouge lost. I turned to the other two, while I pinned the rouge with a knife to the ground.
“It is alright, I won’t hurt you unless you pick the wrong side, so choose wisely.” I said, knife in hand, just in case.
“We never wanted to, he,” The two said, pointing at the rouge, “forced us to do what he commanded or else we would died instantly.”
I saw their eyes change to purple-blue and knew they wanted to live in peace and without fear; boy did I want the same thing. I smiled at them and told them to go while I turned my attention to the pinned rouge vampire.
“So, what am I going to do with you?” I asked, twirling another knife in my hand for interrogation.
“Kill me or let me go.” The rouge said. I liked the first option.
“Tell me whose next, or I will make you suffer slower than I already am. As you can probably tell, I already have you beat either way.” I said and I threw the knife at his other shoulder, hearing the music of rouge’s pain and suffering.
“F-fine, the next clan is the Baglregras’ family.” The rouge said.
“Nice try, those rouges came before you and they weren’t even rouges, they turned to my side three years ago.” I said, getting another knife and throwing it at his left leg.
“Ugh, then the next is the Tripoli quadruplets.” The rouge said, clenching his teeth with pain.
“That’s much better, thank you.” I said and finished him off, watching the flames as he and his crew burned.
I walked back to Oliver, who had his eyes bulging out of his head and his mouth wide open, I closed his mouth and he stared at me for about five or so minutes before he finally spoke.
“What was that all about?!” He asked me very shocked and surprised.
“*sigh* I guess I ought to show you, come with me. “ I said and led him into the house and down to my room.
I knocked on the wall and pictures after pictures pulled up, until the last one covered in a curtain came up. Oliver stared at the pictures; some of them were either; good, killed, or already dead before I got to them.
“I have hunted these rouge vampires since I was four, most of them were dead before I got to them and others were killed by my hand. I am doing this to get the last one gone, so no more rouges can attack me or the ones that have or will help me later on in life.” I said to Oliver, who was staring at the curtained one.
“What’s this one?” Oliver asked, reaching for the curtain and pulling on it to reveal White Phantom’s face.
“That is the leader of all this.” I said pointing at the pictures.
“What happened when you were four?” Oliver asked and I couldn’t answer, because the scars were too deep for me.
“I’ll show you,” I said, “S.A.R.A.H, please come down so I can show him.”
S.A.R.A.H came down and the look on Oliver’s face was priceless, I can bet all my money that Oliver was so shocked he could’ve fainted.
“S.A.R.A.H, show Oliver my memory I pulled out.” I said and sat down next to Oliver, but I had looked away from the screen.
Oliver watched the entire thing and saw me wince at the g*n shot sound, my memory finished and Oliver turned to see my eyes on the brink of tears.
“You were so young, what happened.” Oliver asked with sad eyes.
“My mother knew everything about rouges and she taught me, it was because of too much knowledge that she was threatened. I swore to hunt all rouges until I get Phantom and kill him, so my mother’s soul can finally rest easy.” I said, looking at the picture and throwing a knife at Phantom’s head.
“I never knew, I-I’m sorry Rose.” Oliver said and put a hand on my shoulder.
“Don’t be, it was never you fault.” I said and patted his hand gently.
“I understand, I understand your pain, I understand everything.” Oliver said, he said the words I wanted to hear since I was smaller.
“Y-you really understand me, don’t you?” I stammered and saw his expression
“Yes, yes I do understand and that is why you shouldn’t get mad at me.” Oliver said, inching closer.
“Why on earth would I get m-“I started to say, but Oliver pinned me down and K-I-S-S-E-D me on my lips.
I felt a spark, a pang of ecstasy, and my leg curled up. I had to stop this before I fell in love all over again, so I pushed Oliver off me and narrowed my eyes.
“You know I’m not mad,” I said and saw Oliver’s face change to happy, “I am FURIOUS!”
“Uh oh.” Oliver said and ran out the door, I ran after him to kick his butt.
“OLIVER, GET BACK HERE!” I yelled after him.
I saw Oliver stop and put his hands up in defense, which wasn’t going to help him now and he better pray there is a god because I was going to kill him.
“Rose,” Oliver said and I hit him hard, “Ouch, Rose, listen to me please.” I Hit Oliver again and this time I kicked him in the legs.
“First, you go into my room to test your gift; which I am still MAD about and then you kiss me?” I yelled and kicked at him, repeatedly.
“Ok Rose, calm down, I wanted to know what it felt like to test my other theory!” Oliver said, was he kidding me?
“What do you mean, huh?” I said and kicked his legs again.
“Ouch, I wanted to share my gift another way, I wanted to test my theory.” Oliver said rubbing his leg.
“What god damn theory did you want to test?!” I shouted, not calming down because I was mad. Oliver should not have done what he did do.
“I thought I could pang my dreams to you through another way, but it didn’t work.” Oliver said and he was damn lucky I didn’t do something that I didn’t want to do to him.
“Ugh, thank whomever that you couldn’t.” I said and looked up to the sky, then back at Oliver; who still had his hands up.
“Look, I’m sorry, truce?” Oliver said and held out his hand, which looked so welcoming to me.
“Fine, truce, you’re lucky you’re my friend or I would have kicked your butt.” I said, laughing a bit and shaking his hand.
“Friend, I would’ve thought we were just people who knew each other a bit, but I guess we are friends then.” Oliver said with a sweet boy smile that could’ve melted my heart.
“I got to go in, you just do whatever.” I said and went into the house, but I didn’t shut the door because I knew Oliver would be back tonight.
I went down to my room and felt nothing but warm air; I also didn’t feel anyone watching me. It was strange, but also a relief I could be a bit alone tonight. After I got ready for bed, I went upstairs to shut and lock the door. I heard a gust of wind enter the house before I shut the door.
“Hello Oliver.” I said to the wind and went downstairs
“How did you know it was me?” Oliver’s voice said from my room, he was hiding or he was just somewhere else in the house.
“Let me think… it was the gust of wind that threw you off when you came in the house.” I said, smiling at the sound of Oliver’s voice.
“Well,” Oliver said and came out of a shadowed area, “I will try my best not to let a gust of wind in.” Oliver leaned against my wall as I went to turn off my light, not taking his eyes off me.
“I need to rest, goodnight Oliver.” I said and then I lay down in my bed, feeling Oliver come near me and hold my waist.
“Goodnight, tomorrow is Saturday, feel free to sleep in.” Oliver smirked as I lay with my front toward the wall and my back toward him.
“As if that’s possible…” I said and drifted off to sleep, feeling safe and comforted by Oliver’s presence.
It was Saturday, I really must keep better track of my days. I woke to see my breakfast on my nightstand and Oliver’s arm around me, I was comfortable right now, and I turned to Oliver; who smiled at me with his normal smile. Good god or whomever, did he have to do that each time I saw him?
“Morning Rose, your breakfast is on the table.” Oliver said and I smelled the food and it smelt like heaven.
“I can see that. Would you mind letting me up so I can get it?” I asked and Oliver moved enough to let me reach my breakfast.
Oliver ate alongside me, careful not to get anything on my bed; which was a wise decision, since the K-I-S-S happened. Why did Oliver have to be perfect and handsome? No, Oliver is just your friend and you swore off men since Nicoli.
“Your dreams were interesting last night; I saw you looking up at clouds and you were guarded by rose bushes, what is that all about?” Oliver said smiling, one more and I was going to tell him to stay away; which I didn’t want to do.
“My mind makes up dreams, some bad and others good, mostly good dreams though.” I said and set my plate on the nightstand.
“I think they are wonderful.” Oliver said, crap he was smiling again!
“Stop that, stop smiling at me, it’s weird.” I said and looked away from Oliver.
“Why, I like to and I want to see you smile.” Oliver said and turned my face toward his.
I smiled a bit and I felt my cheeks getting hot, so I turned back away. Oliver just sat there and stared at me while I brushed my teeth and my hair, but I kicked him out so I can get in day clothing and not old pajamas. I came out, putting my hair in a pony tail; Oliver stood there and smiled at me a lot.
“What is it? Is there a spider on my head?!” I asked, patting my head for any spiders.
“No, I just like looking at you because you are unique in a lot of ways.” Oliver said while I stared at him and turned away.
He really does thing I’m unique and special, but he is just a friend. I thought and turned back to Oliver.
“So what is up for today, more slaying or just chilling?” Oliver asked me and he wasn’t in shock or anything from when he saw me fight.
“If I’m lucky; chilling and if not, then slaying, it all depends on my shivers.” I said and pointed to my body, which was warm.
