Silver Rose: Mistress of the seven seas

Twelve Years later

It was now twelve years since I had become captain of the Misty Rose and this year was the twelve year anniversary of my life on the sea. I had taken out almost every pirate that had sailed the seas, I was still looking for Black Beard as a point that I can catch even the most ruthless of pirates. I was leaning over a map when one of my crew members knocked on my cabin door.

"Enter." I said, seeing one of my first mates step in. I made the entire crew first mates so it was not who was in charge or not.

"Ah, hello Dasher, what brings you here at such a late hour?" I said looking out at the starry sky.

"I have spotted a ship madame captain." He said, leading me outside to point at ship lights not to far from my ship.

"Hand me my spy glass!" I whispered.

He handed the telescope to me and I peered into it and saw the name of the ship that was the terror of the seven seas. I whispered the words that had some of my crew cross themselves.

"Queen Anne Revenge." I said, hearing the sailors gasp.

"Black Beard, we found Black Beard." Dominic said.

"Aye, you know the drill but take extra precautions. You, as well as I, know his legend." I said, watching Dominic saying orders to the sailors.

The lanterns were doused and I steered the Misty Rose on one side of Black's ship and out crew sneaked quietly aboard. I unsheathed my sword and upholstered the pistol I got my second year as captain, I loaded my pistol and held it in the air.

"Ready boys?" I asked and my crew nodded.

"Let's get their attention." I said, firing a shot in the air and waking the entire ship up.

We tied up the crew members in a matter of minutes, I swiped the keys off a guard and set all prisoners on board free. I nodded to my crew and immediately they started to ransack the ship for stolen goods. I headed up the stairs quickly and quietly, I opened the door and saw Black Beard just studying a map, I holstered my pistol and immediately leaned against a post.

"You are a hard man to find, but not to hard for me. Did you think I wouldn't catch up?" I said, watching Black Beard freeze.

"I know that silky smooth voice, Madame Captain Silver Rose what a delight." Black Beard said, turning to face me.

"A pleasure as always Black Beard, you know you are fast but my ship is faster." I said, looking through drawers and boxes for anything stolen.

"Is that so, maybe we could work up a trade." Black Beard said, instantly backing away when I put my sword upto his throat.

"You touch my baby, I kill you. Got it?!" I said, growling.

"Aye I got it lass, so why ye be here on my ship?" Black Beard said.

"You should know the answer to that." I said and then one of my crew members, Liam, came in.

"Madame Captain we got it all, did you already search here?" Liam asked, pointing around the captain's cabin.

"Aye anything that has locks or is in a chest is valuable, I have his keys here now tie him up." I said, sheathing my sword and pointing to Black Beard.

Once Black Beard was tied up, we took all the treasure and high tailed it out of there. But, before we did I sunk the Queen Anne Revenge to the bottom of the Atlantic and sent Black Beard with his supporters to hang in the gallows. I threw a knife at a picture of Black Beard and charted a new course for Long John Silver. I held my head over the map and I circled the Caribbean,  because that was Long John's main point of interest because of the trade ships. Dominic came into my cabin with my chi tea and looked at the map with me.

"Silver are you alright ma'am?" Dominic asked, looking at my troubled face.

"*sigh* No, you all have a love somewhere out there and you all chose to stay with me and occasionally visit them. The only love I have that I can always see is the ocean herself." I said, putting my hands behind my back.

"You will find the right man, there must have been someone you liked before you became the best captain on the seven seas." Dominic said, trying to cheer me up.

"There was one man, he looked like he was in the navy for the Queen. But he is probably married by now and forgot about the time we met." I said shaking my head and fiddling with the white amulet I had on since the day I was born.

"Maybe or maybe not, you may never know where the tide takes you-" Dominic said.

"But you follow the tide to see where it may lead, I know." I said, finishing his sentence.

"Keep your hopes up Captain, oh this letter came for you from her majesty." Dominic said, handing my a neatly sealed envelope.

"Ah I wonder if it is more thanks." I said, ripping open the letter and reading.

"Oh, wow. Her majesty wants me to meet her lieutenant of her navy for lunch at high noon near the Bahamas." I said, handing the letter to Dominic. 

"We are passing by the Bahamas tomorrow Captain want to go and eat before we track down Long John?" Dominic asked and I thought it would be nice to get some more food in my crew.

"Aye, it might be fun so let's go!" I said, seeing Dominic going to announce to the crew.

I heard many cheers and shook my head, grateful for a great crew and for the loyalty they gave me. I sighed and settled into my bed,  nodding off to sleep. I awoke to the sun rising over the ocean and took a look out my windows to see the great beauty. I got in my getup and put on the long coat I had from Charlene. I sharpened my sword and loaded my pistol, because I am used to doing so, and headed out on deck.

"Captain is coming on deck!"  shouted Shanks,  a cook and crew member.

"Ah, a beautiful day aye men?!" I said, hearing cheers.

"Aye, aye captain!" They shouted back.

"How much longer to the Bahamas so we can meet the lieutenant for lunch?" I asked the helmsman,  Jacobson.

"Another fifteen minutes captain and we should be right along side the Concordia. " said Jacobson.

"Brilliant, thank you Jacobson. Why don't you go help someone else for a bit and I can steer?" I said, taking the helm.

The crew and myself were tightening the ropes and tying lifelines when the lookout shouted. I grabbed my telescope and saw it was the Concordia about fifteen yards from us and raise the white flag to symbolize we were friendly.

Osilus

I spotted a ship and called to my quartermaster to hand me my telescope. I saw a white flag raise up and ordered the men to stand down, I looked at the name and gasped. It couldn't be the ship that took Black Beard to jail, sunk numerous of pirate ships and gave what was taken back to those it was taken from. I said the name aloud and all my men gasped.

"The Mystic Rose herself." I said, clutching my heart.

This was the ship that all pirates feared when its flag was raised, I waved and signaled the ship to dock right next to mine. I could not believe that I would meet the famous Captain Silver Rose himself, the crew came aboard and I went to a man whom I assumed was the captain.

"Welcome aboard the Concordia, Captain Silver Rose." I said and the man laughed.

"I am not the captain." he said, laughing a bit.

"No, then who is?" I asked and that was when a voice I heard only once before come out of the blue.

"I am Captain Silver Rose." The voice said, revealing a woman slightly shorter than me.

I recognized her eyes, they were the same as the girl that I saved that one day at the docks. This couldn't be the same girl, this one had to be different. I cleared my throat and bowed.

"I am so sorry I thought you'd be a you know.." I said, trailing.

"A what? Oh you mean a man, yeah right!" She chortled and the rest of the crew laughed.

"We have a great feast in your honor courtesy of her majesty Queen Elizabeth her self." I said, gesturing to the banquet.

"Wow, alright boys remember what I always say!" she said and the crew nodded.

"Only take what you need and nothing more or less." The crew said, going to the feast and eating only what they needed.

"You shall eat with me in my cabin as per the request given by the queen." I said, leading the captain to the cabin.

"Yes I read her letter and it is a great honor lieutenant." She said.

"Osilus,  that is my name." I said.

"Oh, lieutenant Osilus. Sorry I never knew your name, the queen's letter was not very specific on names." Silver Rose said.

"No, just Osilus. so, what do I call you?" I asked, handing her some tea.

"Silver Rose or Rose, whichever is easier for you. " she said, stirring her tea.

"Alright, I thought you liked Captain?" I said, watching her and swearing she looked familiar.

"My crew calls me Madame Captain, but a lot of the time it is captain or Silver Rose." She said, taking a sip and looking surprised.

"What, it is the tea is it not good because I can dump it out and brew a new pot." I said.

"No, I like it, its just I have never tasted this before." She said, taking another sip and closing her eyes.

"Oh its, hibiscus with jasmine." I said, reading the label on the bag.

"Well it is delicious, can I have some for the trip. I bet my crew would love this!" She said, putting down her cup.

"Of course, I need to ask if we have met before because it feels like I met you." I said, grabbing a box of tea and handing it to her.

"Thanks and I don't recall, but it feels the same to me. Wait a second, your that man that saved me from those big brutes on the docks twelve years ago!" She said, I knew it was her.

"No way!" I said, staring into her eyes and gasping.

"It is you!" We said at the same time.

"Oops, hehe so you got promoted to lieutenant huh?" She said, smiling and I got lost.

"Uh huh." I said, unable to speak.

"So how is you life, you got a girl or something back home?" She asked me and I snapped into reality.

"Huh? Oh, no I don't. I never found the right one, what about you?" I asked, getting lost in her eyes again.

"No, I have the ocean but I never found a man either." She said, her cheeks going red.

"Beautiful." I said, unaware I was saying it to her.

"What did you say?" She said, cheeks going redder.

"Beautiful, I said." I repeated.

"Me?" She asked, seeing me nod.

I put a hand to her cheek and stared into her ocean blue eyes, I wanted this and I wanted her. I held her cheek in my hand and felt a spark when her hand touched mine. She stared at me and smiled, I melted right there.

"I-uh-" I tried to spurt words.

"You what?" She said, gripping the hand that was on her cheek.

"I-" I tried to say but a giant hole was blown through my cabin.

"It's an ambush!" She yelled, pushing me to the floor and blowing a gold whistle around her neck.

I heard swords clanging and guns going off and saw her racing out into the ruckus.
