The lunas pain

Chapter 3

I stood up, sniffed the air to see if anyone was close. No, no one was near by. 

My body throbbed with every movement, the pain was unreal and I became dizzy, but I was determined to keep moving. 

I Was getting out of this hell hole no matter it took. I walked across the landing, holding onto the wall. Walked carefully down the stairs. When I got to the bottom I peaked around the corner to see if anyone was near, I was right everyone had gone yo fight or was in the safe house.. I shuffled carefully across the living room to the front door, I could see the fighting was going on by the training area. If I edged around the house I could avoid being seen. 

I edged carefully but as fast as I could around the house, I hoped no one would notice me. I headed across the grass as quickly as I could sniffing the air to check no one was following, it all looked good do far. 

I was nearly there, nearly to the tree line of the forest. Once there I would be close to the border of the blood moons territory, I didn't know what packs bordered this one but I would have to take that chance as there was no other way out. 

My ribs throbbed as did my arm but I pushed on scrambling through the trees, no one appeared to following me so far, they must be still busy or not noticed me missing. 

I was getting so close to the border, I could smell freedom. 

Suddenly I could hear shouting behind me. "little b***h where are you" then  "" I will kill you when I find you". I could smell the alpha and what seemed to be several warriors. Noooo they had discovered I had gone and had started tracking me. 

I was there I could sense the border, I pushed my way through where the invisible barrier was. Stumbling forward hearing the shouts getting closer. 

Suddenly two men stepped out in front of me! 

"who are you and what are you doing on our grounds" said a very tall and muscular man. I stuttered incoherently in fear and pain. 

Alpha Lee and his warrior chose that moment to appear out of the bushes behind me. They stayed on their side of the barrier though. 

"There you are mutt, get here you're coming back with us" said alpha Lee in an angry voice. 

I whimpered, scared and in pain my mind whirled. I couldn't go back, not to the pain. I'd rather die now than go back. 

"she's not hoping anywhere" the second man from the other pack said, "she's on our land and will come back with us to talk about her trespassing". 

"she's only just crossed over" said alpha Lee with authority and anger in his voice "she's coming back with us" 

"no" said the first man " she's coming with us" showing no fear of alpha Lee. He grabbed my arm and frowned when I whimpered. "she knowingly crossed the border and needs to see my alpha to explain herself. He is going to want to know why and may be able to come back to your pack if she has a good reason". 

Alpha Lees face flushed visably with anger but something seemed to be holding him back from exploding. Then I realised it was the other pack and their alpha, he was nervous of them. I didn't know who they were but alpha Lee sure did. 

More men appeared out of the trees on the other packs side. 

"is there a problem here Leon?". Said a big guy with curly brown hair. He oozed authority. 

"no beta, this she wolf crossed onto our land. I was just explaining to the alpha here that she would need to come with us for questioning". 

The beta looked at alpha Lee and his warriors. "if she's crossed into our lands we will question her, if the answer is satisfactory we will send her back to you" the beta went to walk away. 

"can't you question her here?" said alpha Lee, causing the beta to pause. 

"no" said the beta with authority and determination in his voice, " alpha Cain will want to question her himself" he then started to walk away again, indicating with his hand for me to follow. 

Alpha Lee spluttered but didn't fight it. He just stood there and watched me walk away with anger evident in his eyes. I was going to suffer if he got me back. 

The guy holding my arm tugged indicating for me to walk faster, a wave of pain washed over me as it was my hurt arm. I started to see spots and felt dizzy, I stumbled and the warrior looked at me with concern on his face. 

The beta looked backed hearing me stumble, there was something familiar about him but I couldn't think beyond the pain. "are you OK?" asked the beta. 

"yes I'm fine" I lied I didn't know what to make of this new pack so wasn't ready to trust them. I'm not sure they believed me because the slowed down. 

Keeping myself upright and walking was becoming a strain. " you've got this" said my wolf Midnight. 

"I wish I could help you more Sereya, but the wolfsbane is stopping me". 

"I know Midnight, you've been the most amazing wolf I could of hoped to have, you're my best friend and have kept me going throughout my years at Bloodmoon. It's not your fault that they hold you back with wolfsbane". I genuinely meant what I said to Midnight, she was the only reason I was sane and alive. Without her I would of given up years ago. 

We finally came out of the woods after what seemed like hours but was probably no where near that. With the stain of the walk the pain was getting to the point that I thought I would vomit or pass out.

We walked across a grassy area towards a massive and beautiful house. Walking around near it were pack members, they stared at me as we walked. 

I felt sweat beading on my skin due to the pain. My body was getting hot. 

A man walked out of the the main door of the house. He was huge, about 6ft 4 and very muscular, with lack short hair. Even in my painful haze I could tell he was gorgeous. Authority oozed out of him. 

As he got closer I could smell the most intoxicating smell of sandlewood and basil. Midnight was becoming restless in my head. 

"Alpha Cain, this is the she wolf prisoner" said the beta " there was a bit of an issue with Alpha Lee but I'll go into detail later during the report". 

"Good work Jack, I'm sure you would of been very diplomatic with Alpha Lee"  Alpha Cain chuckled. 

He walked closer and paused sniffing the air. I was struggling to stand anymore, I could feel blackness start to come down. He walked closer still and looked me in the eye, it was like lightning, suddenly Midnight shouted "mate" at the same time I heard him growl out "mate".

The shock was the last straw, I passed out falling to the floor.
