Chapter 1: The Beginning
Prologue With his eyes as cold as ice, Akira stood in the doorway. "Kaito, how much time has passed?" How long have you been standing there? Kaito's jaw tightened as he avoided her gaze. "It's not what you think" "huh?, not what I think?" The anger bubbling under the surface was revealed by the break in her voice. You smelt like her to me. Kaito, my sister to!". Finally he met her gaze with a grimace. "I... I made a mistake." "A mistake?"She chuckled bitterly, you make a mistake by forgetting to buy jam at the groceries shop and not cheating on your partner with her own blood. "I did not intend to betray your trust" Chapter 1 Leaning against the door, Kaito watched as Akira moved easily through the trees. She was still alert, her body like a bowstring about to snap, her eyes staring straight ahead. Her persistence and dedication were what I admired about her. Why do you look at me like that all the time? Akira turned and stared at him with a stern look, her voice cutting through his thoughts. With a teasing smile, Kaito scoffed and said, maybe I just love to do it, I don't need to have a reason to. A smile crept onto Akira's face as she shook her head. "You are not serious." She continued, but there was a warmth in her voice that hadn't been there a few seconds ago. Kaito caught up to her following her pace. "For a while now, I thought you liked this version of me". "Yeah," she admitted sluggishly, giving him a sideways glance. Kaito was so exited and let out a laugh, brushing his arm against hers as they walked. "I will forever be by your side, we are together forever Akira suddenly stopped and gave him a stare. For a split second Kaito noticed the fragility in her normally reserved demeanor "Kaito, I would do anything for you, she whispered. Surprised by her sudden intensity, he flinched. Of course, Akira. I have the same emotions. Where the pack usually trains, the sun had begin to set. Akira wiped her forehead with a napkin, she was tired and decided to get some rest. After a while she heard footsteps coming as she put her things away The best, impressive as always." Kaito said in a playful and light tone. Akira shot him a quick glance, "It's not enough. I'm Akira and they need to see me at my best all the time. "Oh please, Kaito said" There's is no one who can defeat you at this moment. Not even almighty Kaito". Akira chuckled softly. " That's what I want. Nobody should be able to match up to me. Kaito could sense the pride in her voice but there was a glint of respect in his eyes, I believe in you. Akira, you can achieve this great feat. "Akira, can I ask you a question? Do you ever have a time where you do things that are fun? Akira scowled. "Entertaining" "Yeah, you know... fun,"Kaito smiled and said again. " other than sprinting up until you can't feel your legs or beating the daylight out of someone Akira furrowed her brow, " I see no reason to." Kaito paused, shaking his head. "Life has so much to offer than all this, you are focused on being the best but trust There's is more. We can only live once and we need to live out a little. "And if I may ask what would would make sense that what I do?, Akira questioned him "Well, Akira there is more to life. Your attention and focus is just not not there, if you don't mind you can come with me. I have something I want to show you." Akira wasn't buying the idea, she was hesitant but at last she followed him towards edge of the forest. As they walked, she never saw life from the perspective in which Kaito did. Many thoughts were running through her mind, the noises made by the pack faded from view. Finally they came to a small area. Kaito stopped and pointed towards the open space. These is part of definition of fun. Tranquility, the pleasure of silence. With her arms folded,Akira looked around. "And what do we need to do in this situation? Kaito answered, "Nothing ", as he sat down on the grass."Just mediate and reflect. Confused, Akira stood there. "Calm down." Please have a seat, I assure you if you'd take a break, you won't slack or blow up. Akira sighed and sank to the floor, taking a seat next to him they sat silent for a while. This was unusual for Akira, to be here in this state. She wasn't used to being motionless, especially not in Kaito's company. After some time, Kaito asked softly, "So,why are you always hard on yourself?" Akira was tensed after Kaito asked her that question. "I must be, my father was the best. I must uphold that. "Who says?" Kaito turned to look at her. Akira said in a hushed voice, "I do, who will do it if not me?". Kaito gaze grew softer. Akira, you already are amazing, you don't need to make an impression. If you want to do anything it should because you want it and not because of others. You should care less about what people think. Akira gave a headshake. "You don't just get it". "Perhaps I don't, " Kaito said. However I'm aware that you are just more than a fighter, you transcend the legacy of your father. Akira met his stare, looking for any trace of Irony but there was none. His remarks were sincere, and she sensed something she couldn't quite put her finger on for the first time in a long time. "It's something I've never heard anyone say before, she muttered to herself." Softly, Kaito smiled. "Perhaps you have been turning to the wrong individuals. I alone set the standards for my life. Because at the end, it's left to me to face the outcome of the decisions I make. .
