- 15 - - 15 -While Woofie prowled and I shivered, I mulled over the growing pile of questions that surrounded me. First, of course, where was George? And now James was supposedly ensconced somewhere “safe.” I wondered if he returned to his luxury cabin in the woods, or perhaps was holed up in a hotel suite somewhere. I didn’t think he was back at Mother’s resort. Clearly an iceberg had sprouted between James and Mother. Woofie, true to his name, began making soft woofing noises.
