CHAPTER 6. FIXING THINGS WITH AMY

ISABELLA'S POV "How did it show to you? Was it in a dream, or did I grow a tail? How?" I ask my dad. "It wasn't like that. Wolves show themselves through their eyes, like a shade darker than the color of your eyes. I was changing your diaper one day, and when I was done, I looked at you. You smiled at me, and then I saw it. Your eyes changed. I wasn't sure at first, but you did it again. I was terrified. if anyone else found out, they were going to take you from us, we would've started a war. You are my daughter, and nobody will ever hurt you as long as I am alive." My dad says, looking at me with reassurance. He's always been there for me, and I am starting to understand why they did what they did. "So nobody else knows?" I ask again. "We never told a soul. Not even my parents who were eager to see you the second you were out. Bill knew what was going on, and he ran like a coward, but Lucas stayed with me and protected us. He made sure nobody got close. We had to act fast. It wasn't easy. You were very little, but it had been three months, and the coven was starting to grow anxious. So we decided we would suppress your wolf and your powers at the same time. We weren't sure if it was going to hurt you in any way, but we took the risk. We casted the spell on a Christmas day under the blue moon. The years passed, and you came into your witch powers right on time, but your wolf never showed signs of ever coming to you." My mom finishes the story. "You casted a Christmas spell? Those are super strong. If her wolf is really somewhere, she must likely will find her if her soul mate is a wolf, and..." He stops himself and gasps, looking at our parents like asking for confirmation. "What?" I ask, looking at all of them. "We don't know if you may have found your other half yet. We don't know if you will feel the bond or if you even have a mate out there." My dad states. That thought makes me really sad, because I have always dreamed of finding my perfect match and I may not even know when I find him, maybe I already met him and I don't even know. "I'm sorry, honey. We just wanted to keep you safe." My mom says, coming to hug me. "I need time to understand what I just learnt. To come to terms with the possibility of having a wolf. I mean, I am 21 now, if I had a wolf it would be here by now, but I need to do some research as to how this affects me, and don't get me wrong. I understand why you did it, but I had the right to know. I need to just get out of here." I tell them, and I snap my fingers out of the house. PATRICK'S POV "Well, I guess that explains what I saw last night. The guy was her soul mate." I knew Bella wouldn't just kiss a wolf like that. he was telling the truth. "It doesn't explain why she decided to cast a spell on him." My father says, worried. "What if that woke her wolf up? what if she starts shifting. Those headaches she was having weren't normal. Patrick, you need to keep an eye on her, and you have to find out what happened last night. Do you know who was the Alpha?" Now is mom's turn to ask. "I always keep an eye on her. I've know she's special since the moment I met her. Unless I dive into her mind, I won know exactly what happened. I saw them making out hard. She was upset when I confronted her, and he got defensive. He was going to attack me, so I froze him, and she got upset and threw me all the way to the other end of the room. By the time I came back, she was finishing the spell. Both of them were clearly heartbroken. When we made it here, she was exhausted, and she said she was in pain, so I took her to bed." I tell them the story again, hoping that this time they know what to do. "I don't want her to suffer if it is not necessary. Is best if she doesn't know. She probably thought that their union would cause problems and just wanted to spare him. We should keep this to ourselves, for now." Dad suggests, and we all agree. "I'll get out of here then. I have some things to do." I really messed things up with Amy, and I don't know if she can forgive me, but I'll try. "You better fix everything. Next time I see you, it better be with my daughter in law." My dad warns me. I wave goodbye, and I'm gone. "What the hell are you doing here? My room is protected against bastards like you!" There she is, my soul mate. Why did I have to be so stupid and let her go. Now more than ever, I am determined to win her back. Amy slowly approaches me, with a determined look on her face. "Are you here to finish our business?" She asks, standing in front of me. Her green eyes are demanding answers. "You cut your hair." I tell her, pointing at her now pixie haircut. "Seriously?" Amy asks now more annoyed than before. "I... am sorry." I tell her, hoping that she has mercy on me "For what exactly?" She asks. "For being an i***t, for saying stupid things and for being afraid of love. Amy, if you give me another chance, I promise I won't screw it up." I beg her to forgive me. "You said pretty hurtful things. Then you came for forgiveness, but you weren't honest. I don't know if I believe you." She says, turning around away from me. "Baby, please. Look at me. I know I hurt you, I can feel your pain every day, and it breaks me to know that you are like this because of me, please, Amy, I am begging for another chance, just one, but if you are sure you want your freedom, I'll finish the ritual and I will never bother you again." I am hoping that she says yes, and I don't blow it this time. "If I asked you to leave, right now, would you do it? Would you let me find happiness ?" Oh, no, I can't. I want her, but then again, I want her to be happy. "If that is what you want, I will let you go." I tell her defeated. "Ok, then that is what I want. I want to be done with you and forget that you ever existed. As hard as it will be because you are my best friend's brother, I just want to be done with you." This feels like a complete nightmare. "I won't fight you. I am ready to break the bond. I really wish things could work out, and I am sorry I caused you pain." I tell her sincerely. "I Patrick Altamirano, release you..." "You are really stupid. You know?" Amy starts saying, interrupting my words. "I don't want to be in a world where you are not around. I want to wake up with you and go to bed with you every day of my life and the next. I accept you Patrick as my soul mate and as my forever." As soon as she is done, I pick her up and give her a breathtaking kiss. I never want to be away from this woman again. She stops our kiss and gives a serious look. That is my queue to put her down. "Your sister did something reckless, and we need to find a way to help her and her soul mate." I look at her in disbelief because I didn't think she knew, but I am relieved that I don't have to keep this from her. I wonder how she knows?
