Chapter 2

Eva POV

I am standing in front of priest beside the most handsome and ruthless man who will become my husband in few minutes. Yes it is my wedding day I am getting married to the future Alpha of Sunshine pack, Alpha Dylan

I looked in his direction and he is looking so furious. He is relieving his anger on my hand which he held when I stood beside him. Tears filled in my eyes but I stopped them from falling.

I Know he doesn’t want to marry me. Well who would like to marry someone else after finding their true mate. I also don’t want to become part of his life forcefully but it is for his sake.

I still remember my talk with Luna Sarah, Alpha Dylan's mother. She came to Meet me and take me to their pack yesterday.

Flashback:

I am sitting in this room and waiting for Luna Sarah. Beta Fredrick informed me that she came here to take me to their pack as tomorrow is my wedding with Alpha Dylan.

Because of Alpha Dylan’s threat, I once again talked with Alpha David and requested him to cancel my marriage with him but he refused my request. And for going against his order I got punished. He slapped me hard and threatened me to again talk about this matter.

I was starved for two days without water. Well I am an omega and I am used to getting punishments and beatings.

The door of the room opened and a very beautiful woman walked in. I can tell by the aura surrounding her she is high ranked wolf. I got up from the couch and bowed in front of her.

“Wow, you are more beautiful than your pictures I saw, my son is lucky to have you as his wife” she said with a smile. ‘so she is Luna Sarah' I thought. I smiled at her compliment and said “ thank you Luna Sarah, you are also very beautiful”. She smiled and gestured me to sit beside her.

She held my hand once we settled down on the couch and asked “ Alpha David told me that you agreed for this marriage but I want to know truthfully , do you have any problem with this marriage?”

I looked at her with wide eyes. She is really asking my opinion. I so badly want to tell her that 'yeah, I am forced in this marriage' but I can’t. I remember Alpha David's threat clearly. Before entering this room I was called in Alpha’s office where he threatened me saying “ if you do anything because of which this wedding is cancelled then I will make you pack's w***e and will send you to brothel”.

His words sent a shiver run down my spine. No matter what I can not say anything which will become reason for cancellation of this marriage because I know very well Alpha David will definitely fulfill his words and send me to brothel.

“are you okay, dear?” she asked me. I zoned out. I forced a smile and replied. “ I am okay and I don’t have any problem with this marriage”. “are you sure? You can be honest with me” she said.

“ yes I am sure” I said in firm voice. She smiled at me. “ I am not sure whether Alpha David informed you or not but I will tell you everything before wedding then you can make your decision again whether you want to marry my son or not” she said in serious voice.

Whatever she is about to tell me is very important, I can tell by her expression. I nodded my head for her to continue.

“ My son is cursed” she said. ‘what, cursed? Did I hear her right' I asked myself. “you heard me right” she said as if she read what I was thinking.

“How?” I asked her.

“ If he doesn’t get married before his 25th birthday he will die” she said with tears and I gasped at her words. “What? Why” I couldn’t help myself and asked her.

“that you don’t have to know now. He will turn twenty five next week and before that we want him to get married. That is why we are rushing things” she said. Her voice is reflecting how much it is hurting her.

Even I am feeling pain in my heart, after all I liked him at one point of my life. How can someone be cursed like this. “ does he know?” I asked her. She shook her head in no “ I can’t tell him”. Tears are flowing from her eyes.

“ I will marry him, please don’t worry” I said squeezing her hands. He saved my life when we didn’t even know each other so it’s my turn to pay back and if me getting married to him can save him then I will.

“ That’s not all my dear. There is a big part you still don’t know about this curse, which might change your decision” she said. Her voice cracked in the end.

“And what is it”. I asked her. Then she started telling me and her words shocked me and my heart started beating fast upon listening her words. I can’t believe this. According to this curse if I marry him then…

Flashback ends.

I came out of my thoughts with his deep voice “ I do”. He left my hand.

Priest looked in my way and asked “ do you Eva Markus take Dylan Wilson as your lawfully wedded husband” I took a deep breath and whispered “ I do”. That’s it I signed my death certificate with my own hand. I don’t know what he will do with me.

“ I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.” Priest announced making my heart beat fast as if it would come out of my chest.

Dylan pov

The priest announced us as husband and wife. I fisted my hands in anger. I told her to say no but she didn’t listen. And now we are married.

One month ago everyone was so happy when I found my mate who is a princess and Alpha King’s daughter.

I wanted to mark her the moment I found her but she asked me to mark her when we will get married and she will become my Luna. She wanted to spend some time with her family and pack members before moving to my pack. That is why I didn’t bring her here with me.

I understand her feelings. She will have to leave her pack to become my Luna. She would miss her family and pack members a lot so she wanted some time to say her goodbyes and I let her.

Now I regret my decision. I should have brought her here with me. I don’t know what happened suddenly and she left. She messaged me before disappearing.

‘Sorry Dylan but I can’t marry you. I have to leave. Don’t find me. I love you.’

We were planning to get married. How can I not look for her. She said she loves me then why can’t she marry me and left me alone.

My parents wants heir from me and are forcing me to marry someone else. They are telling me to have a chosen mate from past one year , who turns out to be the girl now stands in front of me.

Flashback :

I knocked on the door and went inside. My mom and dad, both of them are sitting on the sofa.

“You called me mom” I asked her. “Yes son, we need to talk with you. Come sit down” she said with a smile. I sat down in front of them.

“ son Alpha David's daughter Shanaya found her mate yesterday so she can’t marry you” my mom said. After hearing her words a smile formed on my lips. “Really, it’s a great news. Then the wedding is cancelled, right?” I asked her with hope.

“No, it is not cancelled. Your bride is changed” dad said firmly.

“What? Who is she?” I asked them. I have a bad feeling about this.

“She is an Omega of the pack, her name is Eva Markus” he informed me. I can’t believe this. “An Omega, really?, you want me to marry an omega, have you guys lost your mind” I asked them.

“No son, she is nice and bea..” my mom was saying but I cut her in the in middle. “ the hell I care, I will not marry her. That Alpha’s daughter was at least had a high rank. But I will never take an Omega as my Luna, especially when she is my chosen mate not the fated one”.

“Well your fated mate don’t want to marry you. It’s time you take over Alpha position and a pack without a Luna is not a good thing for our pack. So you will marry her on the date decided earlier.” My dad said.

“But how will an Omega fulfill Luna's duty. Dad I want a strong mate not a weakling.” I said. My anger is raising by each moment. Why don’t they just leave me alone in this matter.

“She will, we will teach her whatever is necessary. And if you don’t get married then I will have no other choice but to find someone else to take over. I am sure Zavian will perform his duties as Alpha very well ” my dad announced. He is looking angry.

What the hell. He is thinking about making Zavian, new Alpha of the pack. He is my mom's brother's son. If he were to take Alpha position I am sure he will do his work perfectly but it is my pack and I won’t let anyone take it from me when I have spent my entire life for it’s growth and well being.

I can’t refuse now. I can’t let anyone take my pack. Though my dad is the Alpha of the pack but I am the one handling most of things.

“Fine, I will marry her. But remember you people are responsible for her future which will be filled with only pain and tears” I said and left the room.

I need to shift and go for a run to release the anger I am feeling right now. It is still difficult for me to believe my parents words.

Damien, my wolf is furious as well. If I can’t change my parents mind then I will have to find another way to get out of this marriage.

Flashback ends.

Priest told me to kiss her. I turned to look at her. She is looking down. I took a step closer to her and lifted her veil. I can hear her heart beat rising.

I leaned closer to her face and her breath hitched. She is nervous I can clearly see that. I kissed her just below her lips and whispered in her ear. “You should have refused, now be ready for consequences” and moved away. I saw a tear left from her eyes but she did not look up. Everyone started clapping, cheering and congratulating us.

Well she has no reason to refuse such great opportunity. She is an Omega who is getting married to an Alpha and a rich billionaire.

I am sure she didn’t say no to this marriage even after I warned her, to become the Luna of powerful pack and wife of richest billionaire.

I am burning in anger with this girl’s selfishness. She didn’t even care about her fated mate. What will she do when she finds him. How will he feel when he will find his mate to be already married with some other man. I don’t understand why my parents forced me to marry this selfish girl.

“Now is the time to take over Alpha and Luna position” An elder announced. He told us regarding our duties. Max, my beta came to us with a bowl and knife. I cut my palm and let few drops of blood fall in the bowl. This girl also did the same.

The elder mixed our blood and did all the rituals. “now you have to mark her then she will mark you” elder told me. I glared at her and said “ I won’t mark her nor I will let her mark me” there is no way this woman can have claim over me.

Everyone looked at me surprisingly but no one dared to say anything. She flinch at my harsh tone but I don’t care. She was still not looking at me.
