It had been a couple of minutes and Mark still didn't say anything. He just continued flipping through the channels, staring blankly ahead as Clark watched and painfully waited, unmoving from his spot. Clark was starting to think that he would sooner grow roots than hear him talk. But, after what seemed like an excruciatingly long moment of silence, Mark threw the controller on the bed, turned his music off and stood up. He looked at his best friend before grabbing the pack of beer and reaching for the door handle beside Clark. Clark stepped aside and let him open the door, almost surprised at his actions.
