Chapter1
Uriel stood before the elders of the family, her hands folded behind her back with her head bowed down. Her father and step mother were both busy discussing the man sitting opposite them.
"You are right! Hahaha! It's an honor to finally become in law's with you, this has been prolonged too much already." Uriel's father remarked laughing loudly, he had a broad smile on his face.
Old man Gwen smiled too but in a mild manner, he gestured towards Uriel and asked her to step forward. Uriel stepped forward nervously, she held onto her fingers in a tight grip.
"What is your name?" Old man Gwen inquired gazing at her unique hair color.
Stella (Uriel's step mother) snorted, she pinched her husband and gestured towards the old man. "Stop him, stop him." She muttered in morphed tones.
Uriel didn't know if she was to answer the question, she looked at her parents but only received a glare in return. "You are keeping me on hold, girly."
"My name is Uriel." Uriel responded which made the old man's brows raise, he nodded his head and waved back.
Before long another girl walked into the room, she wore a flared red gown with her hair arranged in a stylish manner on her head. "Sorry mom, dad, uncle for coming late. I met with a little mishap on the way." She said in a tone brimming with confidence.
Stella was quick to wave her hands, Cower tone. Old man Gwen softly hummed. "This is my daughter's old Master, the one who was betrothed to your young master in the past." Stella said with a bright smile adorning her face.
Cower nodded his head too, Sandra could not help but blush at her parents' words. She would finally be married to the man of her dreams, she had waited for him for many years already.
Old man Gwen raised his brows, he hummed softly without letting his expression show what he was thinking. He waved for a female servant and gestured to her to come.
The female servant came and listened to him softly, then she disappeared out of the hall. Sandra giggled to herself, the family heirloom would be given to her. Once it was given to her, then she would automatically be the Luna.
While the other members of the family were happy, Uriel stood silently staring at the objects in the room. Her eyes fell on a vase and she was entranced by the vase.
"You like Vases? That one seem beautiful, do you like it?" Old man Gwen asked her, his eyes piercing into her. Uriel smiled, she immediately shook her head.
"No no, it's just the vase gas the landscape of the Maldives and it looks particularly pretty." Uriel's soft voice rang out, it was calm like the breeze.
Old man Gwen nodded, his servant soon came back. "Master, the young master said to pick the one with the less annoying tone. He said he has somewhere to be and will only be here for the party later tonight."
Old man Gwen sighed helplessly, he didn't expect less from his grandson. "Okay the choice has been made, she will be the daughter in law of my family." Old man Gwen remarked pointing towards Uriel.
Sandra smiled thinking he was pointing at her, only for her gaze to follow his hand and see it pointing at Uriel. Her expression turned dark, Cower and Stella were surprised too at the result.
"You mean my other daughter? The one betrothed to the young master is my daughter in red and not her." Stella remarked standing up and holding her daughter before the old man.
"Yes, that's right, master, not Uriel." Cower supported his wife.
"But she's the one I choose, we can all agree betrothal is something of old right? It doesn't matter If it's this daughter or the other, as long as our family has an alliance." Old man Gwen answered with a smile.
............................
Standing before the crowd, Uriel frowned. Everyone stared at her like a little piece of treasure that they couldn't wait to share, she didn't know how she ended up in this particular situation.
One moment she was standing in the living room, the other she was being announced as the wife of the young master. "Smile Uriel, we don't want them to think you aren't happy with my grandson now, or do we?" Old man Gwen muttered with a kind smile.
Uriel nodded and adorned a smile. Far from there, Sandra stood behind the crowd gritting her teeth in anger. He was supposed to be her husband, yet that lowly girl was picked instead of her.
"I hate you Uriel!" Sandra cursed in her heart.
Cower heard his daughter's words and turned towards her, he was unhappy too at the turn of events. "Do not curse openly, or people may think you want to kill your sister. Smile brighter." Cower muttered.
Sandra grit her teeth, she turned towards her mother and walked away from there. "Mom, I can't do this anymore! The Alpha is mine! I want him for myself! He can't get married to Uriel."
Stella understood her daughter's predicament, she patted her hand. "Mum will find a solution for you, just wait here and take in some fresh breaths. " And Stella left, leaving Sandra standing outside.
Sandra's eyes shimmered with hatred, she clenched her fist. While standing outside, she caught sight of Uriel walking towards the garden, she silently followed behind her sister wondering what she was going to do.
Uriel stood beside the swimming pool gazing at the cleaner. She was immersed in her thoughts thinking of how she was going to start a new life and be a new person. She failed to notice someone from behind her.
While Uriel was lost in thoughts, Sandra took the moment and pushed her sister into the pool. If she remembered correctly, her sister could not swim.
Uriel gasped falling into the water, she flared her hands trying to swim. Sandra immediately ran out of there, happy with what she had done.
"Save me! Help! Anyone!" Uriel yelled trying hard not to swallow the water enveloping her being.
