Meggy P O V I heard movement around me. Turning my head, I slowly sat up— Just as Nella walked in with a nurse. Her expression held something off— Not kindness, not concern— But a twisted kind of satisfaction. Like she was pleased to see me awake. That alone made my stomach turn. I glanced around the room, searching for familiar faces. But— Tito wasn’t there. Lidia’s bed was empty. Aria was gone. A sinking feeling settled in my chest. I parted my lips to ask— But before I could even try to speak, Nella firmly waved her hand. A silent order to shut up. “The nurse is here to check your injury,” she said smoothly. “Once she checks it, your medication will be injected—except for one of them.” She held up the bottle, clearly unable to pronounce the name of the medication.
