CHAPTER SIX

281 Words
Eniola couldn't sleep that night, thinking about Lillian's behavior and the dress Elliot bought for her. She felt hurt and frustrated, but she didn't want to let it get to her. The next morning, Eniola woke up early to start her chores. She was sweeping the floor when Elliot came downstairs. "Good morning, Eniola," he said, smiling at her. "Good morning, sir," Eniola replied, trying to hide her feelings. Elliot noticed that Eniola seemed a bit off, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he went to the kitchen to have breakfast. Eniola followed him, trying to compose herself. As they ate breakfast, Eniola couldn't help but think about the dress Lillian burned. She felt a lump in her throat, but she tried to hold back her tears. Elliot noticed that Eniola was quiet and asked her if everything was okay. Eniola tried to brush it off, but Elliot could see that something was wrong. Just then, Lillian walked into the kitchen, looking smug. Eniola felt a surge of anger, but she tried to calm down. "Good morning, everyone," Lillian said, trying to sound cheerful. Eniola just glared at her, but Elliot smiled and said, "Good morning, Lillian." The tension in the kitchen was palpable, but Eniola tried to ignore it. She finished her breakfast and went back to her chores, trying to put the incident with Lillian behind her. As she worked, Eniola couldn't help but wonder what Lillian's next move would be. Would she continue to cause trouble, or would she finally leave Eniola alone? Eniola sighed, feeling frustrated and unsure of what to do. She felt like she was walking on eggshells, never knowing when Lillian would strike again.
