“ get out of here, the government’s fallen”
“ The resistance could come at any moment”
The facility was in red alert and everyone was running. Red lights filled the facility. One scientist was running through the hallway when he bumped into something and fell down.
‘ oye look where your goi…” he looked up there was no one
“ hey what are you doing here let’s get out of here”
Another scientist said while passing by
“ But I swear I bumped into something” he said murmuring to himself
“ Must have tripped on something”
“ this brings back memories” jackal thought
He was in the facility that gave him his powers. It also gave him one of his fond memories and memories he wished he could forget. Along his way he found old places like the cafeteria and the basketball ball. The memories flowed in slowly as he encounted all the places. He found his old room. It was the same as he left it. The beds and the window all the same
“ this hasn’t changed much has it” jackal thought
He left the room and went to see someone he despised a lot.
Dr Seth was looking out of the office window when he heard the door open. It made a creaking sound.
“ you’ve come back Damien or should I say jackal”
Jackal came in a few steps.
“ You’re not gonna run” jackal said
“ I would but unfortunately for me a certain someone dead”
“ but look at you, you’ve become so strong you went to head to head with rampaging demon and the swordsman”
“ aren’t you afraid of death”
“ death hahahaha….” He let out a laugh
“ Damien many scientist have faced death in order to complete their work”
“ And I have completed mine”
He suddenly spit out some blood. He looked down to see his stomach area had a blade piercing out. Damien took out his blade. Dr Seth fell down on his knees and spat some more blood out more blood.
“ hehe you are a hasty one aren’t”
“ die”
“ Wait” Dr Seth said
“ What, your gonna beg for your life”
“ No no, here have this card and go to the basement”
Damien remembered that room, the room where everyone was forced to kill each other.
“ you should remember it very well” Seth said with a bloody smile.
“ There are two things there one are done vials, which have a solution in them
“ What’s in the solution”
“ it’s a solution I came up for elites to use overdrive without dying”
“ that impossible” jackal was surprised but didn’t show on his face
“ no it’s very possible in fact you’ve used that yourself”
“ I went into overdrive ?”
“ Yeah back then”
Jackal suddenly realized Alicia died he went into overdrive.
“ And what’s the other thing”
“ you’ll know when you see it”
“ is that it then”
“ yes that’s it”
He pointed his gun towards Seth’s head.
“ Goodbye”
He shot one bullet in his head straight in the middle of his forehead. Seth’s eyes became completely white as he fell on the ground head first. Damien was about to leave when he attention suddenly went to the key.
“ why should I listen what he has to say”
But he got curious and decided to go. He went down to the hallway and found the path to the basement. He was Infront of the door but there was no way to get in that’s when he realized that the card was used to get in. For a moment jackal hesitated he did not want to relive the memory of losing someone important to him but he needed those solutions and wanted to know what was the other thing.
He went inside and saw nothing really different except for one thing. There was a huge glass tube filled with liquid and a person inside. He couldn’t make out the figure until he went closer. Upon closer inspection of the person inside he suddenly went limp. All movement had ceased and he was left shocked. The person was in a cryostat and there was monitor that was showing her heartbeat. The person had blond hair with creamy white skin. That face was a face he could never forget it was Alicia. Damien saw a button of release on the main screen and he pushed it. The whole tube went up with water coming out and body was also released. Jackal caught Alicia on his arms. After a while she opened her eyes.
“ ughhh my head hurts and whoa why am I naked”
She looked up and saw a man filled with tears.
“ Damien is that you ?”
“ I missed you” he said while hugging her and crying like a baby.
“ I missed you so much”
“ I’m sorry if I left you” she hugged him back.
The bottom of the tubes opened showing a rack of viles with solutions in it.
