Chapter Fifteen Annie hadn’t slept a wink. Being in another strange house, another strange room, she hadn’t been able to settle. It was hard to relax in a place that wasn’t hers. Of course there was also the fact that six hours earlier, she’d awoken unable to breathe with her husband on top of her, his hands wrapped around her neck, squeezing the life out of her.
