Chapter Sixteen “Wake up,” Zac said. Sean was sure he jumped as he blinked from Annie’s bed, which he’d crawled into late last night. He would have rather slept on the sofa, because breathing in his wife’s scent and knowing he was responsible for driving her away was agony. The sun was now streaming through the front window, and there was Zac, standing over him. “You have to be at work, and so do I,” Zac said. “You need to get your ass downstairs and help me find the coffee.” Sean’s head ached, and as he sat up, he remembered clearly why Zac was there and Annie wasn’t. “I don’t know where Annie keeps it,” he said.
