CHAPTER 14: 6am

"You're a nobody.... nobody likes or want you around."
"Mia and Leo aren't really your friends they see you for the weak little nerd geek you truly are."
"They really hate you. and guess who else hate your guts?.. that's right Kai he hates you which is why he completely ignored your pitiful transformation.. once he sees me you'll no longer exist in his eyes" Rachelle said pushing me to the ground, as she hovered over me pinning my arms to the ground.
I realized I couldn't breathe. "get off of me"
"what did you say dog?"
"get off of me"
"I can't hear you dog"
"I said GET OFF OF ME" looking directly in her eyes
right before she punched me in the middle of the face
I push her off holding my nose.
Staring in the mirror of the school's bathroom I hung my head low and closed my eyes.
"Jade...Jade....Jade.....wake up Jade." Mia shaking me
Causing me to jump out of my sleep. I really can't breathe. I hold my chest
"I CANT BREATHE" I scream
"Calm down Jade it's ok just breathe... in and out..slowly" Mia said rubbing my head.
"Did you have another bad dream" Mia asked empathetically
"Yes I did, this time it felt so real... my nose actually hurts." I said rubbing my bridge
"Jade they are just dreams, you know I have your back and I'm here for you" she says. bringing me into a bear hug.
It actually feels like a bear is hugging me. Mia does not miss any combat training her body is sculpted like a Greek goddess made for war
"Anyways hurry and get ready or we'll miss training" she says throwing my sweatpants at me.
"Mia do I really have to go, I'm no good at anything" I say dragging my feet.
"Listen here young lady I don't make the rules, but Jade I really think you should start to apply yourself more and get out of your books... and head"
"Once you put your mind to it I think you'll be great" she says
"Ok I guess I'll try today" I say grabbing the rest of my things and heading out the door
We arrive to Combat training at exactly 6am.
"So Jade you got another sick excuse or you're going too be moving your ass today?" Conrad yells.
He's the head trainer and nothing short of Godlike status. He trains top dragons who go on to become part of the kingdoms army and more. I'll go more into detail later.
"Umm I'll be training Sir" I say barely at a whisper
As I look up I see him looking down at me with the biggest grin on his face
"Good s**t young lady it's about time you try, and hey you may do well" he says rubbing my head
Yes he rubbed my head like I was a kiddo.
"Ok everybody give me 5 laps warm up around the field."
Now I would be shocked but I watch Mia practice every morning so I know the routine.
Pace yourself Mia says before she dashes off.
I stay at the back so I can pace myself.
As I'm done my first lap I see Kai and Alex talking to Conrad.
Kai looks over at me causing me to whip my head forward and focus on my run.
Should I push myself or just keep it slow and steady.
"Let's go Jade" Alex yells
I look back and yup him and Kai joined the herd.
"Good morning gentlemen" I say to them with a smile.
I'm trying to play it cool in front of Kai.
"Goodmorning Jade" Alex says
"I'm glad you're finally practicing you know you need to grow so you can take your place on the throne. You'll have to prove yourself to everyone" he whispers
Of course he's whispering no one knows about me expect the people who needs to know which I don't know who all they are either
"I know Alex I'm going to do my best from now on" I say without looking at them.
"Good Girl" Kai says
Causing me to literally trip and fall on my face.
"Are you ok Jade" they both ask in unison helping me up
Kai looks annoyed
"Yes don't worry about me I made a promise" I say getting up.
"Ok let's go." Alex says
They both take off.
I'm trying to keep up and I know they slowed their pace for me.
Oh it sucks being non athletic.
After lap 3 my legs arms and butt is burning.
I decide to take my hoodie off.
Everyone runs either in sport bras or shirtless for the guys. so I know there's no problem
I'm finishing up my last lap everyone else has already finished 5 mins before me but I finish strong with a sprint
Whew. I says running up to Mia and some of the girls she hang with during training.
Trying to catch my breath I hold my hands above my head like I read in a book. A few years ago
"Wow Jade I didn't know your body was so hot you dress like a nun." Jess says
"Yeah girl you got a body like that without even trying I don't know why you're always covered up." Carolyn says
"Oh guys shut up my girl is a beautiful caterpillar. I love her the way she is" Mia says hugging me.
It's ok Mia, they are right.... I used to get bullied back at my old school" I say quietly.
"Wtf who'd bully you? you're literally so sweet and kind" Jess says
Jess is the kind of girl who beats up bullies and hang with the boys. Very tomboyish. She wears all black all the time and have a bunch of tattoos and piercings. But she has the heart of a puppy. She's very motherly as well.
"Yeah they were definitely haters and I see why. Not only are you kind you're beautiful with a banging body" Carolyn says.
Carolyn is very girly. shops all the time and have all the designer but don't let it fool you she's a warrior head to toe just like my Mia. She's someone you can trust with the worst secret and wouldn't judge you.
I don't hang around them as much as Mia because I opt out a lot of things but I will start to do more. For me and them.
They don't know I'm the future Queen but when you think about it they training for me.
I'll tell Mia when the time is right. I just don't know when that'll be. I'm still learning to trust people. After the whole Castelle and Rachelle situation.
I guess my dreams are just my inner thoughts that I keep to myself.
In time I'll see who's for me or against me.
"Hey Mia who's your friend?" A guy calls over and says as he runs towards us.
"Oh this is Jade" "Jade this is killer Max" she says introducing us.
"Hi killer Max" he's a literal God. don't get me wrong all the men here are literal goods but him and Kai are neck to neck first place
"hahaha You don't have to call me that. you can just call me max." he says extending his hand
"Nice to meet you Jade. I usually see you sitting out of practice what's different today"
"Well I just want to get stronger so I can protect myself and the people I care about" I say with my head hung
"Well You're in the right place Conrad will get you right for sure." ilhe says with one of the sexiest smiles I've seen in my life
"Ok guys your 3 min break is over find a partner, time for some 1 on 1." Conrad yells causing me to break out of my drool session
"Jade you're with me." Kai says running over to our little group. He looks max up and down
"Wassup max" he says almost a growl
"Oh nothing bro just chatting it up with the hotties, and the beautiful lady Jade" he says bowing kissing my hand before running off
I look at Kai and it looks like he's seething.
I wonder why...
