Eden's POV

Everything was going great. We had been talking and getting to know each other. I decided I couldn't hold back anymore. I was hovering over her kissing her neck and her lips. Oh, those lips and her scent were driving me and Ryder crazy. Suddenly there was some disturbance outside and a growl. Ryder was not happy with the intruder who was disturbing my time with my mate. Could he be the one who rejected her? That only made Ryder more outraged and without thinking he did something unbelievable. I could not stop him when he sunk his canines into Tae's neck. I tried to stop him to tell him that it wasn't the right time, but he wouldn't budge. I felt how her emotions were all over the place. I felt her pain that did not last more than a few seconds. Sorrow. Anger. Joy. I was sure that she was going to be furious. When Ryder finally stopped, I felt something down my neck. My little mate had taken it up a notch marking me as hers as well. As I came up to see the damage, I noticed blood on her beautiful lips and her eyes were dazed. "I'm so sorry. I couldn't stop Ryder when he took over." I scratched the back of my neck. She finally snapped out of it and stared at me intensely. Well, I guess here is where I die. I've fought many rouges and werewolves only to die at the hands of my little mate.

"I hope you are ready for what you just did." She warned. "Not only are you stuck with me for life, but my father and my brothers are not going to be very happy with this." She continued. So does this mean she's not mad. She is more worried that her family is going to say something. I chuckled. I heard cracking outside the window. My eyes snapped towards the window but there was no one there anymore. I darted outside but he was gone. I went back inside and helped Tae get up from the floor where she was still laying down with blood down her neck and lips. I guided her to the bedroom to take her to the bathroom to help her get cleaned up. Her eyes widened as she took in her appearance when she looked at the mirror. "My dress." She shouted. "The blood is never going to come off." She complained. I grabbed a rag a tried taking off some of the blood and she was right it wasn't coming off. I helped her clean her neck and lips. Then she looked at me and she gasped but a sudden smirk took over. "Well, who slaughtered you?" she grinned. My little mate was proud of what she had done. I chuckled.

"The most amazing and beautiful wolf in this universe." I know super cheesy, but I can't help it. She rolled her eyes knowing very well that I was trying to get on her good side so she wouldn't kill me for marking her like that.

"So, are you going to finish the mating process or are you just going to stand there gawking at me." She mumbled. I was shocked. I noticed her face turning crimson, but her eyes were sparkling. In an instance I had her on the bed with my lips on hers. I was not expecting this, but I wasn't going to stop if my mate wanted me as much as I wanted her.

Taelyn's POV

I felt my cheeks heat up. This man was making me blurt out all these outrageous things. I mean I was never the introverted person, but I was never this blunt.
