Chapter 8

Taelyn's POV

I don't understand what is it with Axel's continuous roaring and growling. What can he possibly want at this time? I stared at Eden's hand intertwined with mine the whole way to the pack house. Ugh the last thing I want is to be close to that oaf when I have a gorgeous second chance mate on my side. I don't know how long I was deep in my thoughts that we were at the entrance and Axel was at the door glaring at us.

"Take your hands off of her," Axel growled. I could see the amusement on Eden's face. I believe it did not sit well with Axel and his pup because his next step was to get near Eden's and my hand snarling at him. When he was about to reach for our hands, Eden pulled me behind insinuating that Axel was going to hurt me. That only serve for Axel to give a few more growls before Eden's patience dissipated.

"Better watch your tone, before your family and your pup end up planning your funeral." Eden growled through clenched teeth. I immediately put my hands around his waist and saw how his demeanor changed. "Taelyn," I rolled my eyes when he said my entire name. "Is my mate, no one is going to change that, whether it's you or the piece of s**t of mate she had before. She belongs to me now and I'll make sure she never suffers again." I felt butterflies in my stomach and my heart skipped a beat. I didn't like the fact that he did not know that they were the same person.

"Can I talk to Tae," I hissed. He looked at me nonetheless he continued. "Alone."

"There's nothing to talk about, Alpha." I retorted before anyone had a chance to say something. This piece of s**t has some balls to make me come all the way over here for this bull s**t. Eden snapped his head at me and c****d his eyebrow, concerned on my outburst.

"Tae, its very important that we talk now." Axel begged.

"No, Axel, there is nothing left to say. Whatever you may think is important is not important for me anymore." I said angrily.

"Alpha, Taelyn, Alpha Axel." He growled at the disrespect I had shown. Ugh pompous mutt.

"Can we go now, I have so much to do, than to stand here and have this bickering back and forth." I said ignoring his growling.

"Why are you so hang over my mate, Axel. Why don't you go in there with your mate and your pup and leave her alone?" Eden sneered. Axel glared at Eden than his eyes trailed down to my eyes, as if he was imploring for me to give him a chance. I glared at him as he let out a sigh dismissing me. He turned around and went inside the pack house. I let out a breath that I did not know I was holding. Did I worry that he would tell Eden that he was the one who rejected me and that now he couldn't let me go because he saw how another Alpha had a claim on me as if I was his property?

"Love, are you okay?" Eden stared at me. I don't know how long I was out because we had made it to my parents' home. I looked up and stared at those gorgeous eyes of his. All my anger and worry vanished. I took a deep breath and nodded my head as he pulled me close to his chest. How could I have been so lucky to have found a second mate. We went inside and everyone was in the living room discussing who knows what when they all stayed quiet suspiciously.

"What is going on here?" I questioned staring at Jake and Nic. I knew they would eventually tell me. They gulped and looked away.

"Nothing princess," My father was the one to speak. I noticed Tyler's amusement and chuckled as I stared at him. "We were just trying to, um, ah, um." My father tried to come up with an excuse. I arched an eyebrow for him to continue.

"We were trying to figure where y'all were going to go on the date?" Jadiel said trying to cover up for my father. My mom shook her head and glared at my father. I stared at Jadiel trying to get him to come clean, but he did not budge.

"Fine, don't tell me I have other ways to finding out." I looked at Nicole and her eyes widened. "Nic, Nicky, my bestie, what were y'all talking about?" I questioned her walking towards her. I noticed how Jadiel grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him.

"So, we are tired, and we will be retreating to our bedroom." Jadiel suddenly said pulling Nicole with him as he dragged her with him. Nicole mouthed 'I'm sorry' with a wink. Ugh they are so frustrating.

"Us too." My mother said dragging my dad and Adanelly with her. Jake winked and dashed out of the living room.

"We are going to wait outside, Eden." Tyler said, ushering Gabriel, Diesel, and Luke out of the house. Everyone was gone. It was only us two left wondering what they were discussing. We looked at each other and wondered why they were acting so bizarre.

"I have to go, get some rest and we'll figure it out tomorrow, Love." Eden said giving my lips a peck. I felt sparks running from my lips to every part of my boy. "Tomorrow we have a long day." He gave my forehead a lingering kiss.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I sighed as he turned around and left. I turned off all the lights and went to my room. The last thing I wanted was to stay at the pack house by myself. Once in my room I got in the shower trying to ignore the thought that Eden had been around me smelling like this after the fight with the rouges. Finally in my bed I was able to close my eyes drifting away into darkness. It didn't take long when a nightmare creeped in. I tried opening my eyes but every time I blinked all I saw was two rogues smirking at me as they approached me, snarling, like they have been waiting for this moment. I black shadow stepped out into view from behind them. 'Well, well, well, look who we have here Max's princess, who would have known that it would take us this long to find him and his beloved family.' The man said. I tried opening my eyes again and I couldn't. 'No, no, no, why are you trying to leave so soon we have so much to talk about.' He said, shaking his head. 'Trust me you are going to be interested to know a couple of things about your family that you don't know.' Why can't I wake up? What is happening. 'After you hear what your father and mother have been hiding for so long, you'll know what kind of people they are?' He smirked. What can he possibly know?

"Tae?" I heard someone say. "Tae." Again. "Taelyn, wake up." My eyes snapped open, and I saw Jake shaking me to wake me up. "Are you okay?" He asked with concern all over his face. I nodded and tried to catch my breathing. It was just a nightmare. "Were you having a nightmare?" He asked, I nodded again in response. "I could feel all your emotions, I've been trying to wake you up for the past five minutes and you wouldn't wake up." Okay it was all a nightmare, but it felt so real. I held to Jake tightly and eventually fell asleep next to him.

I woke up with someone grabbing my arms and pulling me away from my bed. I was about to start throwing punches and elbows when I heard a very familiar growl. "Mine." Eden growled again. Its to early to deal with jealous Alphas. I opened my eyes, and he was standing in front of me with his eyes furrowed on me then on Jake. Seriously?

"He's my brother and you know that, now quit the growling and let me sleep." Jake woke up and his eyes widened as he looked at Eden murderous stare. "Go back to sleep Jake." I spoke. I was about to get back into bed when Eden grabbed me by the waist and threw me over his shoulder. "Wait, where are you taking me, put me down right now." I shrieked as he made his way out of my room.

"We have a long day remember I told you." Eden finally spoke walking towards the stairs. "We are starting by going to have breakfast." I let out a frustrating sigh as he took a step down the stairs.

"I can't go out in my pajamas unless you want everyone staring at us or more like at me." That earned me another growl from him and before he turned around, I saw Jake leaving my room chuckling at this oaf's behavior. He took me back to my room and finally put me down. I looked at myself in the mirror noticing how awful I looked, my hair was all over the place I think I had drool down my face, and my face looked like I didn't get enough sleep. I darted into the bathroom before Eden had a chance to react. Washed my face and teeth, eww how could he possibly tried to take me out looking like this. I tried to tame my hair as much as I could. I heard a knock on the door. "It's busy." I yelled out. I heard Eden's chuckle. I finally came out still wearing my pajamas. I noticed Eden's eyes turn black as he stared at me. What can he be staring at? As I looked down, I noticed that I wasn't wearing a bra and that he could easily see my n*****s. He quickly pushed me against the wall and in no time his lips were near my neck. His nose kept brushing against the soft sweet spot in between my neck and shoulder. I did not know what to do and stayed as still as I could. Finally, Eden pulled away and ushered me to the closet.

"Sorry, I couldn't control myself. Please change." Eden pleaded. I went into the closet and changed into a black tank top after putting on a bra and some black ripped jeans. I grabbed my black vans and stepped out of the closet to put on my shoes. I noticed that Eden was calm now and he was sitting on my bed. "I'm so sorry about what just happened." Eden sighed. "My wolf took over and it took me all my power to calm him down." He stared at my face. "It has been so euphoric since we found you that he took me off guard." I stood up after I put on my shoes and walked towards Eden as I put my hands on his face, I made him look at me.

"I'm more than thrilled at having you and him. It did take me by surprise, and I understand my wolf has been more than ecstatic to meet you and your wolf that it has taken all my might not to let her take over." I kissed his cheek and then his lips. "Now that I am dressed where are we going?" I said cheerfully.
