"I love your a handful, that's why I have two hands!" Brenda I had planned so much. I was not nearly done with the wedding planning. I was starting to worry that I was not going to be done by the time the wedding was here for Aaron and myself. I only wanted the wedding day to be perfect. But I did not want to ruin this wedding by trying to get it perfect. I was listing to my families wedding stories. And friends! From what I understood no wedding was perfect. Aaron and I were not going to have a perfect wedding. I did not care as long as I was marrying Aaron. That was all that mattered to me. I could not wait to marry him. He was the love of my life. He always had been, and he always would be. I had gotten up early that day to make him breakfast in bed. I was not much of a cook. But I could whip up a mean batch of pancakes. I microwaved bacon. And got the coffee going. Soon I was humming. I washed the dishes then got a tray of food set up for Aaron. He was going to love this surprise I made for him. He needed time to sleep in. He worked so hard for his business. He needed this time off. I head up the stairs to find Aaron was in the shower. I sit on the bed pouting as I set our breakfast tray on the bed. • ❤︎ •• ❤︎ • "Can't I do anything right?" I sigh to myself. I eat a piece of Aaron's toast I made. Wallowing in my self-pity. "Good morning" Aaron whistles as he comes in the room wearing nothing, but a towel wrapped around his waistline. He leans down to kiss me good morning. "Morning" I sigh. "Why the long face?" he asks me. He notices the breakfast that I made just for him. "For me? You cooked for me?" he gushes. He takes a drink of coffee. "Your coffee gets better and better" he brags on me. "Really?" I ask him. He nods. "I love it baby. Thank you for thinking of me" "I was trying to surprise you and you were already up" I grumble. "I know sweetheart, but you still made this for me. I love it all. Let's eat after I get dressed" he tells me. • ❤︎ •• ❤︎ • He cheerfully hums and gets dressed then he fixes his hair. He smelled like a million dollars. He sits down beside me on the bed. I feed him a bite of toast with jam on it. Then we chat and eat together. I loved moments like this with him. We used to have breakfast together before we both went to school back in the days. He would meet here he loved my moms cooking. And his mother had already been off to work. "What is on your mind?" he asks me. "I was just thinking remember when you would come over here for breakfast? Because your mom would be gone for work already?" I ask him. He nods. "Then I would walk with you to class" he says. "We would share the newest tapes to listen to our tape players" I giggle. He feeds me a bite of pancakes. "I loved every moment with you back then. But I love these moments ten times better" he declares. "Oh yeah why is that?" I ask him. "what is the difference?" I ask. "Because now I am with you" he reminds me as he leans in kissing me. "We can have breakfast together every morning and lunch and dinner every day" "Mmm I love that idea" I agree with a smile. "What is on the to do list today?" he asks me. "I am not sure. I think we need to pick what flower represents us for our wedding. The groomsmen will have to wear flowers on their suites and the bridesmaids have to have flowers. Of course, me" I remind him. "I want your in put you are apart of this to and I do not want to be a bride in control of it all" "Brenda I never thought you to be that type of bride sweetheart" he promises me. "That is another reason why I love you so much" "I listed all the flower shops around here in the town. Ones that were not to pricy" I tell him. "You know I can afford whatever you want" he points out. I nod. "I know that but that does not mean I plan on always spending all your hard-earned money. Aaron that is not why I am marrying you" I remind him. "I know that is not. I want you to have your dream wedding" he answers. "I already have it you know why?" I ask him. "Why is that?" he wonders. "Because we are getting married" I giggle. I lean in kissing him. "Are you ready to go sweetheart?" he asks me after we kiss. "Ready!" I answer him. • ❤︎ •• ❤︎ • We head into town. Then drive from flower shop to flower shop. Looking at flowers. Learning the meaning behind each flower. Soon I had some more ideas for the flowers I wanted for our wedding. Aaron picked the flowers he wanted for the groomsmen. I was not sure why it was so easy for men to just pick it. With women it was not that easy. I hop back into the car with him. Feeling defeated. Wondering what to pick. I was confused. "What is wrong sweetie?" Aaron asks as we drive to the next flower shop in the next town. "How is it you can pick some flower and be done. But it is not easy for me?" I grumble as I cross my arms. "I want to pick and be done. Not worry about it. Here I am worrying about it" "It always is harder for women then men sweetie" he reminds me gently. "Right but will I ever pick the perfect flower and be done with it?" I grumble out loud. • ❤︎ •• ❤︎ • We pull up to the next shop. Aaron opens the car door letting me come out. He was so sweet to put up with me. I loved him more each day we were together. I follow him into the shop after he locks his car door up. I look around in the shop. I find the most beautiful little lavender flowers ever. "Aaron look! I think I found my flowers" I gush. Aaron wanders over to me. And we smell the flowers. We talk things over with the flower shop owner. Then Aaron makes a purchase for our wedding flowers. Now we had it done. We did something for our wedding. I was so excited. It felt good to make choices together for our wedding. When we head outside the shop, I hug Aaron and he twirls me around. "We did it! We picked the flowers" he laughs. "Finally. One thing down one million things to go" I tease him. He laughs. I smile and laugh. "I can't wait to say I do. It is so thrilling you said yes. And the more we plan the more I can imagine our wedding day. I can't wait for that day" he rambles on. I hold him closer. "I can't wait either Aaron" "This is going to be a day we will never ever forget" he answers. • ❤︎ •• ❤︎ • We head in the car. And go back home. When we get home, we find my parents surprised us with a lovely dinner. I missed family time. It was going to be hard to move out to Washington away from them. But we could always visit. And they would not be to far away. They could come visit us. I needed to move and be with Aaron in Washington. That was where I belonged. Washington was my new home. "You okay sweetie?" Aaron whispers to me at the dinner table. "Perfect!" I whisper back. He steals a kiss from my lips. We chat with my parents and have a lovely time at home. There was no place like home. • ❤︎ •• ❤︎ •• ❤︎ •• ❤︎ •• ❤︎ •• ❤︎ •
