I began to recite the words stated on the paper. While doing this, I poured out my energy little by little, and it started to flow into the air and resonated with the surroundings. The doors began to open, and slowly, small lights entered towards their destination.
I only have several minutes left before the entrance to the Underworld totally close down. I checked on the souls, and everything was going smoothly. I can see the numbers going down.
While waiting for the ritual to complete, I heard voices, and it was from the souls that were about to pass on each gate. I can see them saying thanks, but some still want to get revenge on what was did to them.
I can't help myself but emphasize their situation because if I were in their position and saw the death of my loved ones, it's the same. But it depends on the case. I'll let karma do its way.
I watched as the two souls remaining chose which path they decided to enter. I hope they can find peace after this, but I wanted them to go to the proper destination for the others sent on the other path.
Okay, the last soul. But why did it stop on its tracks?
I moved closer to the soul, but I can feel some uncertainty about the emotions it is trying to project. I knelt down and placed my hands near the soul.
After touching the soul, memories flashed on my head. Random scenes appeared on my mind, showing how the soul lived when it was alive. I saw the bountiful forest, happy faces, and tranquil life. I also saw the scenes where they were attacked by the forces of evil. I felt the pain that the soul experienced during those times. I realized that the soul showing its memories was of a child, and the last thing that it did before passing away was calling its parents' name.
I can feel my tears falling down on my face after that scenario. I cannot imagine the fear that it experienced. I need to move forward and finish my mission to help other beings and not suffer the same fate. I stood up and guided the soul to the door where it rightfully belongs. After it entered the gate, there was a loud ringing from the surroundings.
An ominous aura was emitted throughout the place. The frozen river started to melt, and a dark haze appeared from where Bansot was. I can feel the evil intent coming from his direction.
Is this possible? I already shattered his core before continuing the ritual. The ice enclosing him broke, and Bansot was set free. His appearance changed from before. His upper body was the same, but on the lower part, it transformed into an octopus. The smell of acid-filled the surroundings because of the haze that came out from Bansot. I felt nauseated because of that.
What is it this time? Oh my goodness. I need to get out there. I cast my spell and froze the river again to make some platform, but Basot used his tentacles and grabbed my leg, throwing me back to the tree. My back hit the trunk, and I felt intense pain from that. His strength increased a lot.
"Where do you think you are going, Chosen of the Moon?" Bansot said, laughing loudly. His laugh echoed throughout the place.
"What do you want this time? I believe I have destroyed your core, but is this even possible?" I said, summoning the Night's Fall.
"I can see that you were too confident that you have defeated me already, but this time, I will kill you here. Though, I can let you go on one condition. Give me the relic of the moon!" He shouted.
"Why would I do that? I will never give this to the likes of you, you foul-smelling monster!" I said.
"How dare you!" Bansot shouted and lashed his tentacles towards my direction.
I jumped out of the tree and created an ice platform, landing there. Bansot continued attacking me with his tentacles, and one by one, the platforms I made started to break.
I moved back to the tree because there was nothing to stand on. I can hear Bansot laughing at me because I was struggling. I can't do anything because I don't have a flying ability. In some cases, I floated mid-air, and it was because of the spell that I am using.
Think fast, Ayari. You are running out of time.
Bansot started to attack me again, but I deflected them because I cast Dance of the Moonlight. He continued to attack me, and Bansot was able to land a hit on me. I was thrown backward. I can feel the sharp, stabbing pain from my abdomen.
I touched my abdomen, and when I looked at my hand, I was bleeding. But how? I saw that Bansot's tentacles grew spikes. I did not notice that because I was focused on evading his attacks.
Blood was gushing out of my abdomen, and I don't have a healing spell in my mind. If Anan is here, he can heal my wounds. I guess I have no choice. I chanted my magic and froze the damage to stop the bleeding. I can feel my muscles numbing near the wound.
"Look at how pitiful you are, Chosen of the Moon. You are still raw in terms of power, and that will be your downfall." Bansot said, laughing.
"I will not let you do what you want! I will finish you here!" I shouted.
I gripped the Night's fall tightly and closed my eyes.
"Mayari, please help me overcome the enemy."

Swamp Area - Forest of Retribution
"Big brother Baku, big brother Ayari is not coming back. He only has a few minutes left." Ester said worriedly.
"Do you want me to and check on him?" Ani said.
"No, it's dangerous. I have been feeling this ominous aura since Ayari entered the Underworld." Baku said.
"But the enemy is here," Anan said.
"We need to trust Ayari. I know he can overcome this." Makisig said.
"But I am so worried about Yari, I'll go down and help him there," Apo sighed.
"No, we can't do that now. We need to keep the portal open for Ayari." Baku sad and tapped Apo's shoulders.
"I just can't sit still while Yari is doing his best there. I am sorry, guys, but I have to do this." Apo said.
Apo stood up and summoned his spear, and headed to the portal.
"Hey, Apo. Stop, it's dangerous." Ani shouted.
He just looked at the others and waved his hands before jumping on the portal.
