The Angry Alpha's Mate

Chapter 6

*Alex*

The first arrival was Beithir a dragon king whose family came from Scotland and his daughter Saphira who was unmated even though she was twenty-five. There was a howl behind me as Thomas rushed forward and picked up Saphira spinning her around before setting her down and kissing her on her hand while profusely apologizing for the rude greeting. Saphira with her other hand caresses his cheek while telling him that the whole reason she was here was to find her mate. Thomas's face lights up and he immediately turns to Beithir asking if he can marry his daughter, who was already beaming and before Thomas had got two words out Beithir grabs Thomas in a huge bear hug and says yes my son.

The next arrival after Beithir and Saphira was the bear king Adalbern and his cubs. His oldest Barret and Bjorn who were twins and their youngest sister Lyanna. A few minutes later two different packs arrive with about ten wolves and the rest of King Sabre's unmated. At about five-thirty another group arrives and Gabriel comes in and tells me that is everyone from the trains and planes. I was still waiting on two other groups who were running late. I call them and one of the leaders answer and say they are almost there however they were attacked and need some medical treatment. The other leader doesn't answer so I send Gab out with a group to see if he can find them they had made it to the last check-in point before the gate so they shouldn't be to far out. I also ring my medical team and let them know that there is a group that will need assistance as soon as they get here and I will have some guards lead them there. I let the group know to follow me to the dining room and tell the bell hop to send a guard to lead the rest there as they arrive.

*Savannah*

Alex lead's the group to the dining room and as we walk in I see that the table is set with many different clan sigils and colors depicting where each group would set. In the center of the table was silver to the right from the Alpha's side was Red and gold for my Dad then a deep green and yellow and finally a blue and green. From the left was purple and gold followed by orange and deep red and then a green and brown. The Silver night pack set in the middle with my Dad and his tribe to the right of Alex and Beithir and Adalbern to the left of me. I noticed two groups weren't there so I ask Alex where they were. He replied explaining one group was at the doctor getting treated for injuries and the other was currently missing and Gabriel had took some of our pack to see if they could find the missing group. We chatted for a few minutes before his phone went off and he excuses himself.

Lyanna asks why I don't smell like a wolf and I explain to her that I am from the feline tribe led by my dad Sabre but my mate is Alex. She then asks if i'm the princess of the feline tribe would that then make Alex king when we marry and my dad then speaks up. "Yes it does but only if Alex accepts the responibities of running a kingdom of multiple tribes and we coronate him then Alex will be the Alpha King and Savannah will be Queen Luna." Both Beithir and Adelbern agree with what my dad said. Lyanna seems excited about that. Then Alex comes back and I see his face is tense and his beard has grown and his hair is now past his shoulders. As he walks around the table i feel the tenseness is actually anger and it radiates almost changing the colors of the table. He sets down and calls the group to order.

*Alex*

I just got off the phone with Gabe the pack that was missing had been attacked and it looked like there were no survivors. It also seemed that they were attacked by the same group that had attacked the the other tribe, the gardener, the DJ, and the floralist shop. They left no trace, no scent, and no reason as far as he could find. Who was this group that took out a group of about fifteen of some of the best warriors of two separate packs. I called the med team and told them to let me know when one of them is awake so they could get some info from them about their attackers. My blood was boiling and me and Xander needed a run but we had a party to do and a pact to get signed so I returned to the dining hall with anger filling me to the bursting point and wondering what was going on. There was to much going on that it wasn't a coincidence that it had something to do with the party. The deer had warned us about them but who were they. I enter the dining hall to find everyone having a good time but sadly i had to bring them up to speed on everything that had happened. I sit down and call everyone to attention. " Thank you all for coming in celebration of our contract bringing all the different were creatures together. However as joyous of an occasion this should be I need to inform ya'll what has happened in the last thirty-six hours. It started with the gardener going missing without a trace. Then just this morning the flower shop was destroyed. At around two this evening the DJ we had hired disappeared on his way here. We were only able to find his car. Then two of our tribes were attacked on the way here. One pack was killed with no survivors and they had fifteen of the best warriors. The other pack that hasn't arrived is in critical condition in the medical building and as soon as someone wakes up I will know, and we can go find out who their attackers were." I finish and Aldalbern speaks, " So we don't know who they are but we know they're attacking do to the pact. Anybody ring a bell? If you need any help on guards I can have some extras sent here. I always have magi on standby in case we need teleported back home. I may also be able to help find out who the attackers are by having one come and see if any spells were used to cover their tracks which sounds like something that may be happening since the best tracker is unable to pick up any scent. I would like to continue this party tonight and I would also like to go with you to speak to the injured." The rest of the table agrees and I have Aldalbern send for some more guards to be on call in case we need assistance.

We finish eating and get up to go out to the garden for the party. I notice Savannah is in awe at how well the garden looks. I had placed three long fire pits unlit around the dance floor with torches also unlit and the tables with firepits in the center had been prepped for Savannah. The lights that had been strung cast a glow around the area and the band starts playing a light tone welcoming us to the garden. As the group disperses to tables to chat amongst themselves I notice Thomas grabs Saphira and they rush off to sit at a corner table and talk. I am happy that Thomas found his mate. I was beginning to wonder if he would ever find one. The band starts playing something that makes people start going to the dance floor and I notice alot of them had recently just found their mates. All was going well so I decided that I would ask the band to play one of my favorites in a couple songs and at the beginning of the song I would grab Savannah's hand which should cause the electric lights to turn off and all the fire pits to light and the torches which would also lead you into a maze that was being lit only by torches.
