The Angry Alpha's Mate

Chapter 5

*Alex*

We make it back to the manor and were going up the stairs to my room when Gabby links me.

"Alex! We have an issue. The DJ disappearred as he drove down the road towards our gate. Gab found his car but no scents just like the gardener. Xander has got the garden almost ready. But the floralist called and said someone broke into her store this morning before she got there and demolished it. She was able to order more flowers but they will be here just before the party is to begin and she will need some extra assistance to make sure they have been set up."

" I will be right down to assist with what I can. Send Roosevelt up with something to drink and a snack for Savannah. I will call a meeting to get assistance for the floralist and find a new DJ at last minute."

" All pack members we have an emergency meeting in 10 minutes in the garden of the manor. Anybody who has human servants bring them with. It looks like were gonna need some help to make sure everything goes smoothly for the party."

" Yes sir Alpha."

I break link with the pack and let Savannah know that I need to go talk with Gabby over the party and will be back in an hour with someone to do her hair for her. She declines saying she will do it herself however I insist telling her she must get used to it since she is gonna be the future Luna and Queen. She suddenly kisses me and the lights go out again. When she pulls back a huge smile spreads over my face. The lights come back on and she sees my smile as I turn and head out the door. I walk to the garden to see most of the pack and servants are already there and a few stragglers are rushing in.

"Alright listen up Alpha Alexander is about to speak." Thomas says gaining everyones attention and a hush falls over the group.

I begin," Ok everyone we have some issues as I am sure you have heard by now we have the missing gardener and had to call Xander in from retirement. On top of that the DJ we had booked in advance has came up missing on his drive here. I think both the DJ and the Gardener are connected since we could not pick up their scent even with the best trackers. So we will need a DJ fill in tonight so anyone with experience or who knows someone who could help please see me after the meeting. We will also need assistance setting out the flowers that we had ordered. Our floralist's shop was broken into this morning and everything had been destroyed however she was able to order more flowers but they will be here a few minutes before the party is to start which means we will need to hurry when they get here to set them up before it starts. I would appreciate all the help that you can provide. I have upped the detail already but just in case I would like all the mated warriors to be prepared incase we have any attacks. I have also been warned by a friend that there may be rogues in the area and unusual people who have drawn concern." I finish speaking and someone speaks up a young unmated warrior stands and says," Should we put a guard on our floralist just incase she runs into issues on the way here and maybe assign escorts for the groups arriving by plane and train so they are safe also." He finishes and over half the group agrees with him. I nod and say," Ok so we do know who will be arriving by train and plane so I will need guards for them. I want two cars per arrival with at least two people per car traveling one in front and one behind of the middle car who will have two in it also. Everyone will be in constant contact just in case they need help. If you make it back with your arrival go and patrol while the others get theirs so they have a back up. I want at least four cars with four in each on patrol at beginning. Any other questions?" Looking around I notice that they had started grouping together for patrols.

I talk to a small group who was able to help with a DJ for the night and found out that they were an actual band who plays at The Happy Mountain Music Hall in town and usually played as the main entertainment however they were on vacation and was volunteering to play as the replacement and would even help with anything. Gabriel walked up and hugged one of the guys in the group and says that he was glad that his cousin could get the band together at such a short notice. He had called them when he was unable to track the DJ who was originally booked for the night and had asked if they were available when they told him they were on vacation and would love to help out. It seems like the night would be even better since instead of a DJ I now had a live band who were very popular in the area and usually had a full music hall every night they played. Gabby comes over and she introduces her sister Abby, who i barely ever see even though she is a Gamma of my pack but also the packs head stylist and beautician. Gabby explains that she had specially booked her for Savannah when she heard that she was my mate. Me and Abby head up to my room so she can assist with Savannah and make sure that I look like a strong and powerful Alpha.

*Savannah*

I have gotten pretty far into the book and had learned that my powers can range from healing, to mind control, to destructive powers like fire, to speeding up growth and understanding animals. I was just starting another section about how the arcane magic got stronger the more pure a family is and saw that my family tree up to my great granny was in the book and describes each of their powers in great detail when I hear the door open. I hear two sets of foot prints and Alex walks out onto the balcony with someone who almost looks like Gabby the head chef. Alex introduces Abby, Gabby's sister to me and tells me that she will be my personal stylist and beautician for special occasions or surprise dates. She says we need to start getting ready for the party and to take a quick shower while she gets Alex's clothes picked out.

I go shower and when I am done Abby comes into the bathroom and starts my hair she blows it out and puts it into rollers to help define my curls a little bit. While my curls set she does my makeup. She then takes my hair down and producing a ribbon the same color as my dress she begins twisting some of my hair around it through a complicating five strand dutch braid that she pins half up leaving my hair to fall down my back in a cascade of soft voluminous curls that catch the light and amaze me as i watch her in the giant bathroom mirror. She then helps me into my dress. She zips me up in the back and says she needs to check on Alex. A moment later I hear her voice telling me to come out. I walk out and Alex's eyes grow wide and mouth goes agape as he sees me. Abby giggles at Alex's expression and clasps her hands together before excusing herself.

*Alex*

After Abby goes into the bathroom to do Savannah's hair and make-up I walk into my closet to see that Abby had picked me a black suit with a black tie but the shirt was a dark green which was my favorite color. I put the suit on and comb my hair which seemed to be almost to my shoulders in glorious curly waves. I then notice that i had quickly grown a beard. I link Abby and ask her if I should shave and get a trim before the party and she suggests to just comb it since yesterday evening I had been completely clean shaven and my hair had been just below my ears at dinner she didn't want me to startle any guests just randomly sprouting a beard in front of them. The stress that the party was giving me had caused my hair to grow at an alarming rate. I finish dressing and walk out to wait on Abby to finish.

A few minutes later Abby walks out of the bathroom and says that she is all done. She than calls Savannah to come out of the bathroom. The door opens and Xavier howls saying he wants to jump Savannah right now and its a bit hard to hold him back though I finally get it through to him that he has to wait but I can see why he wants to mate right then. Savannah was a beautiful woman dressed in a dark green dress that hugs all her curves but also accent her short legs making her look taller even though she was a foot shorter than me. Abby had kept her makeup natural but brought out her eyes with a little bit of green. Her hair was pulled half up in a complicating looking braid that was intertwined with a green ribbon that matched her dress and her red blond curls were even more defined and gold looking as they fell down her back. I notice my mouth begins to hurt as Abby giggles clasping her hands together in triumph and walks out the door.

"WOW! You are absolutely beautiful. Xavier says he could ravage you all night but I told him we have a party to go to and he will have to wait for your permission." She smiles at me and says that the suit that Abby picked for me was stunning as it brought out the roguish, rugged, handsome and strong alpha. She walks up to me and runs her fingers through my hair making the lights flicker at our touch. She laughs and says she is still trying to find out how to control her electric powers when we touch but she wants to add some flair to the party tonight. She explains that if I grab her hand she will turn the lights out and light the tables and any torches and candles we have out. I agree with her as it sounds amazing and I had forgot we might need the heat from the firepits since it gets cold at night even though it was summertime. Thomas links me and says that the first of the guests have entered the gates and will be arriving at the manor shortly so I lean over and give Savannah a quick kiss before we walk down to welcome the guests.
