Chapter 4

*Alex*

I wake up and it is six o'clock. I sleep an hour late on Saturdays and Sundays since its usually my free days. I go for my morning run hopping out the tower as Xavier but changing back as I get to the jogging track that winds through the woods to the side of the manor. My run is rather chilly as it had snowed lightly over night and I cut it to an hour instead of two and head back. I start the coffee pot and check on savannah who is sleeping rather peacefully. I head into the bathroom and start showering. I turn off the water and can hear movement outside so I guess Savannah has woken up. I dress and walk out to hear Savannah asking me how I like my coffee. She is still in her pajamas and has her back to me. She had chose to wear a spaghetti strap tank and shorts that where cut boxer style. Her legs where curvy and toned with some muscle definition that caused her but to pop out and I wanted to go over and grab it but instead I just walk up behind her and pull her close to me giving her a hug from behind.

*Savannah*

I woke up to the smell of coffee and notice Alex is not in the room but I hear the shower going. I get up and walk over to the coffee pot and grab a cup. I look down at the cup and read " Alpha now but friend forever". I set it down and pour some coffee in it before searching for some creamer and a spoon. I finish stirring my coffee and hear the door to the bathroom open without turning around i say " Good Morning Alex, how do you like your coffee?" A few seconds later I feel his arms wrap around from behind. I had just realized how defined his arms were as he pulls me to him in a hug. I melt into him and notice he has an erection pressing into my back. I turn in his arms and give him a smile as he leans down and kisses me right on my lips. I kiss him back as one of my arms grab his shoulders and i wish i was taller so I wasn't trying to kiss him on my tiptoes but all to soon as I think that he picks me up and sets me on the counter. I can now easily kiss him and run my hands through his hair reveling in the scent that it throws off. He pulls away and I notice his eyes are orange suddenly i'm not in control of my own body and Ivory is pushing me back telling me just a minute nothing will happen.

About thirty minutes later Ivory lets me have control back and Alex suggests we go down for breakfast. We head to the kitchen which has a table and chairs and a counter with stools. We sit at the counter and a pretty little lady comes over. She has tan skin and a wavy curly hair looking a bit like she has a latino blood line. Speaking with a bit of a heavy accent she begins introducing herself," Hello future Luna. My name is Gamma Gabriella and I am the head cook here. I also take all of the alpha's food requests and know the best places to eat in town. My mate is Gabriel the head hunter. Now what would Alex and the Luna like for breakfast. Also Alex I am almost finished with your request about another hour and it will be perfect." She says with a wink towards Alex. " How about some berry pancakes with eggs, sausage, bacon, a surprise potatoes and juice and coffee." Alex responds with a smile. She hurries off and he turns to me," She is also the best person to ask about clothes, hair, and that sort. She will be great for you and I think she will make you a great friend." he says. "What are surprise potatoes?" i ask. "Whatever they feel like. Sometimes there hashbrowns, sometimes their diced, sometimes they mix them with different things but always very delicious so much so that I order them every day.

*Alex*

Gabriella returns with the food and sets them on the counter in front of us with two spare plates also. I notice Savannah grabs a pancake and is about to take a bite when I stop her." Savannah before you try the pancakes try the surprise potatoes" I say as i give her a spoon of the potato mix. Today they had chose a mixture of mushrooms, peppers, and onions to mix in with the expertly seasoned potatoes which is my favorite way that their made. She takes a bite and her eyes grow wide at the taste. "That is delightful!" she says after finishing the bite i had gave her. She then scoops a large mound of the potatoes onto her plate with the pancake and continues eating. We chat and eat until we are full before retiring back to my room for a brief chat before we get ready for our lunch date.

At eleven she says she is gonna get ready and goes to the bathroom a few minutes later she walks to the closet and closes the door. While I wait on her I link Gabby.

"Gabby, is the lunch about ready?"

" Yes, just finishing putting it into containers."

" Great. How is the food and party for tonight."

" Everything is almost done. I have the ice sculptures almost done and all the tables have been arranged. The flowers are being delivered and placed now and the dj will be arriving at two to set up and do sound check. The only issue i have is a little weird. The gardener hasn't came in to do the final touches on the garden. I have tried calling him and Gabe even went to check on him but he couldn't even pick up his scent as if someone had masked it completely."

"That is weird. Alright I will talk with the guard and arrange for extra detail tonight just in case something goes wrong. I will also call Xander who used to be the head gardener and see if he would mind cutting in for bit till we find him. Let me know if anything else comes up. Thank you Gabby."

I cut my link with her. She has been very good at being the head of party planning while also being the head cook. I call the guard to up the detail before calling Xander and had just finished my call when I hear the closet open. I turn to see Savannah dressed in a beautiful summer dress that is green with purple flowers. Her red gold curls falling over her shoulders and down her back with a braid on each side of her head holding the front of her hair out of her face accenting the cute rounded face and sparkling green eyes. She walks up to me and I notice she also has small braids dotting her hair. I look at her neck and notice a heart shaped pendant with a purple gem. I reach to grab it to inspect it a little closer and notice it says 'Tiger's Heart'. " It's from my mom. She gave it to me when I turned eighteen and even made sure that my mate could put their own inscription on it." She says watching me inspect her necklace.

"Are you ready? It's almost noon." I say. Smiling she replies," Yes, lets go." We walk down to the kitchen and I get the basket and thank Gabby. "We will be going on a picnic in my favorite spot, somewhere only I go." I tell her as we walk out the door and across the lawn. We get to the woods and walk along a path before we cut off and walk a few minutes arriving at a creek. We turn and walk along the creek for a bit before Savannah speaks" Do I hear a waterfall?" "Yes, we have almost arrived at my favorite spot." We suddenly come to a clearing and I set the blanket out so we can sit. We sit down and I grab Savannah's hand and explain to her that this is were I come when I need to cool off when I am angry or just need a moment to myself.

We eat and listen to the waterfall roaring when we hear a rustle behind us and turn to see a deer jump out and walk to the stream for a drink. A moment later two fawn leave the bushes and walk to the creak too. I am surprised to see the deer since the smell of the wolves usually scare them off but for some reason they were just about ten feet from us. The mother looks up at us and starts walking towards us. She stops a few feet from Savannah and holds her front leg out towards her and I see blood dripping from her leg. It looks like she had caught it in something but i was unsure.

*Savannah*

I had been following Alex for a bit now as we come upon the sound of a waterfall. " Do I hear a waterfall?" I ask." Yes, we have almost arrived at my favorite spot." he replies. We suddenly exit out into a clearing where he sets a blanket down and we sit down. He grabs my hand and I am secretly glad were not in the manor still since i cause the lights to turn off when he holds my hand. He explains to me that this is were he comes to calm down and when he needs some alone time. There is suddenly a rustle behind me and out jumps a doe. She walks over to the creek and starts to get a drink. Another rustle produces two fawns who join her getting a drink. A few minutes later the doe walks towards us and stops just a few feet from me. She holds out a front leg and I can see a gash in it from where she might have caught it in a trap. I'm a little surprised she is even this close to us since both mine and Alex's animals are carnivores. She steps a little closer to me and I suddenly understand, somehow she knows I can help her so I slowly stretch out my hands being very careful not to startle her. I get just a few inches from her leg and start concentrating on healing her. A green blue light appears in my hands and her leg begins healing. After a few minutes her leg is healed and I hear a voice that is soft and gentle. " Thank you. I had issues caring for my babies with that wound. Be wary of unusual people and rouges." I realized the deer had been speaking to me and she suddenly bows her head and her and her twins leap back into the brush leaving me aghast that a deer just spoke to me.

Alex looks at me his mouth wide and asks, " How did you know you could heal the deer?". I explain to him that it was if the doe had known I could heal wounds and patiently let me heal her then thanked me before warning me of unusual people and rogues that were in the area. He seemed a little surprised that the deer had spoke to me before asking if that might be one of the powers that I had and suggested we check the book and library for more info. We finished our picnic and hurried back to the manor to check before we had to prep for the party.

As we get back to the room Alex says that he needed to go check with Gabby over the arrangements for the party and would be back in an hour with someone to help do my hair even though i politely denied the need for assistance he insisted saying that it would be something I would need to get used to since I was gonna be future Luna and Queen of the area. I kiss him quickly on the lips resulting in the lights going out for a few seconds as I pull away and the lights come back on I see a huge grin on his face before he turns and heads back out the door. I grab the book and head to the balcony finding a chair with a very comfortable pillow and sit down on it when I hear someone come in. "Lady Luna, Alex sends me to bring you something to drink and tray of snacks that are Gabby's specialty sweets." a voice comes from inside. "I am on the balcony." I reply and a man dressed in a nice suite comes out carrying a silver tray with a picture of reddish, amber, brown liquid and some assorted sweets. He sits them down and pours me a glass and says that it is what the humans call sweet tea. I thank him and he bows slightly before exciting and leaving me to my book.
