- Reika’s P.O.V -
“Welcome back,” Ethan said.
I sit up ignoring the pain all over my body. Luckily being a werewolf heals wounds fast but I still could feel the impact.
“How long have I been out?” I asked.
“Two days,” Ethan answered.
“Two days?” I was surprised to I didn’t wake up earlier.
“Your injuries were severe. Usually, a mate feels a tingle when the other is wounded but with you, I started bleeding,” he explained.
“I’m sorry,” I said.
“You survived an explosion Reika, there’s nothing to be sorry about,” he sits next to me.
I looked at Ethan and tried not to cry but he felt everything I did.
“Wait outside, he told his beta,” and he nodded leaving the room.
As soon as we were alone, I started crying and Ethan hugged me tightly.
“She’s gone,” I manage to say.
“She’s gone,” I repeat.
“I’m here, your brothers… even Josie,” he says and I raise my head.
“Josie?” I asked and he nodded.
“I searched for her while you were still unconscious and found her this morning,” he explained and I felt a bit calmer knowing she’s safe.
“Thank you! Thank you so much,” I hugged him tightly and I felt his arms wrapping around me.
“Can I see her?” I asked.
“Follow me,” he stood up and put out his hand for me to hold.
We left the packhouse and I just found out where it was located.
“This is where the packhouse is? Behind the waterfall?” I asked with curiosity how they did this.
“Yeah, but only wolves can get through,” he told me.
We walked a little more my hand still in his and reached the city where all the omegas were.
“Luna,” a couple of them stopped their tracks and said as they saw me.
Ethan stood in front of an old door and knocked two times before a man answered.
“Alpha, Luna,” he bowed his head.
“The boys and the girl,” Ethan said and the man nodded letting us in.
“Reika!” Theo and Alex spoke together and ran to me.
I hugged them so tightly I think I cut the airflow.
“Oh my god, I’m so glad you’re okay,” I closed my eyes as I kept their figures stuck to mine.
I kissed them both on their foreheads before I saw Josie coming out of a room.
“Josie,” I opened my arms for her again and she ran to me as she started crying.
My tears must’ve been stored for a long time because all I felt was the heat streaming down my cheeks as I saw my sister.
“Are you injured? Is everything okay?” I scam her face and body searching for a wound but thankfully I didn’t seem to see any injuries.
“I’m okay,” she answered.
“I’m sorry Reika,” she said and I furrowed my eyebrows.
“You didn’t do anything, Josie. It’s not your fault,” I reassured her.
“I’m the reason Kratos is in ashes now,” her face showed nothing but guilt.
“No! No it’s not your fault, it’s that psycho man who did this. He’s de*d now so we have nothing to worry about anymore,” I told her.
“Can I at least go there and see it?” She asks.
I haven’t seen Kratos either so I turned to Ethan who has been standing there silently.
He looks back at me and shook his head.
“It’s too damaged, there’s nothing,” he said.
I nodded and looked at Josette again.
“For now we must worry about you three staying safe,” I tell my siblings.
“We’re going to stay with the wolves?” She asked and I didn’t have an answer to that.
“We’ll find you a place to stay and someone to look after you. Us wolves don’t ask for an explanation and anything in return. You’re a part of our pack now,” Ethan spoke and made me smile but my back was facing him so he couldn’t see.
“He’s right, we’re going to build a new life, the three of us together. Okay?” I tell them and they nod in agreement.
“I’ll see you later,” I stood up and looked at the omega that kept my family safe.
“Thank you for taking them in,” I tell him and he bows his head.
“It’s my duty, Luna,” he said and I smiled.
I turn to Ethan and walk out the door with him behind me.
“Are you okay?” He asked and rested his hands on my shoulders.
“I want to see Kratos,” I told him.
“Are you sure?” He asked and I nodded.
“Okay,” he didn’t object.
He knew exactly what I needed which made me more fond of him.
Ethan took my hand once again and started walking towards the woods. A half-hour later, we reached the place that was once a kingdom.
I looked around and all I saw was emptiness. Although the land was filled with destroyed buildings and the rocks from the palace, it still felt empty.
Kratos is usually alive at every hour, there’s always light and motion on the streets but now, it was completely empty… it was gray.
I climbed on top of the rocks which were once my home and scanned the area. I couldn’t bring myself to cry because I was angry more than I was sad.
I continued walking until I reached the spot where my mother and Malik were before she activated the mines.
I could see skeletons all over the place which broke my heart so I wanted to see my mothers try to gather her bones to bury her properly.
“What are you doing?” Ethan said standing behind me.
“I want to find my mother,” I used all my strength and started throwing the rocks in every direction.
I knew exactly where my mother was standing so I hoped she would be under all these rocks.
“Reika,” Ethan said.
“I’m going to find her,” the rocks were flying in every direction.
“Reika,” He knelt down.
“She’s here somewhere Ethan,” I continue.
“Reika, we searched. She’s not here,” he said.
“And if she were she’s definitely not in one piece,” he told me and I stopped what I was doing and looked at him.
“Ethan, this is all I have left of her,” I took out the pendant she gave me the last time she hugged me.
“I can’t bury this instead of her,” I tell him while showing him the necklace.
“She gave me this pendant before she destroyed the entire kingdom for me,” I tear up again.
“All this,” I stand up and point everywhere.
“All this is because of me because she wanted to keep me safe,” I cry.
“Malik wanted an army in preset to kill the wolves, he wanted to learn how to kill the Alpha and apparently Kratos kept that secret,” I started.
“My mother traded the secret and her life to protect me and Crescent Moon. And you know where this all gets ironic?” I asked as Ethan continued to stare at me.
“She’s not even a wolf herself,” I raise my voice a little.
“You’re the sin, Reika,” he said and confused me.
“What?” I asked and he smiled.
“You a beautiful sin. That’s why she chose to save you. You’re my black-furred wolf, that alone makes you special enough to be saved,” he approached me.
“Reika, your mother fulfilled her duty by destroying Kratos. Yes, she’s gone, but she saved us all,” he held me closer to him so my head was feasting on his chest.
“I miss her, Ethan,” I continued to cry.
“I know,” he rested his chin on my head.
“I know. And I’m ready to give you a new family if that’ll bring back a smile to your face,” he told me which made my heart beat faster.
The best part is that he could feel my emotions right now and as if he could also read my mind he pulled me back a little so he could see my face.
“I love you and I’m here for you,” he said.

We were walking back to Crescent Moon and Ethan was a few steps ahead of me. I was looking at his back from behind and couldn’t help but recall everything the two of us have been through.
I found my real soulmate after I got married, he taught me how to be the real me, he gave me a whole new kingdom to lead and a family to love, he resurrected me.
“I love you,” I said impulsively.
Ethan stopped and slowly turned around till he faced me.
“What?” He asked unsure of what he just heard.
“I love you,” I repeated.
“Reika, I swear if we don’t go back to the packhouse right now I might make you my Luna right here,” he reacted a bit more intensely than I thought he would.
“Make me,” I said.
“I’m the middle of the woods?” He asked and I felt his heartbeat fast.
“Right here, right now,” I approached.
“Make me your Luna,”
“Reika,” he said.
“I want to avenge my mother’s death and I will need my family with me, our family,” I say.
“Make me your Luna, Ethan,”

A few weeks later, we were having a ceremony to officially declare me Luna of Crescent Moon.
The Beta’s were standing next to us while the omegas watched.
Ethan was standing next to me and winked at me.
“Wolves of Crescent Moon, we are here to celebrate our Alpha finally finding his mate, our Luna,” the ceremony master started.
“As they have already mated before, it’s officially time for them to give each other their marks,” he said.
It was tradition that the Alpha and Luna marked each other, in other words, bit each other to claim the mate as theirs and here we were.
Ethan and I faced each other.
“This union will give us our full powers and immunity against the full moon as Alpha Ethan is descended from Alpha Kai,” the master said.
“You may mark each other,” we were given the blessing.
I approached Ethan first and my canines penetrated his neck creating two large holes in it.
It didn’t heal like an injury usually would but I guessed this was what a mark would be like.
Ethan approached my neck slowly and slowly marked me. At least that what I thought.
I felt his bite and it did create the mark, but I couldn’t feel our bond.
I look at him with confusion but he simply nods signaling me to play along.
“I’m your Alpha,” Ethan said.
I continued to stare at Ethan still list as to why he didn’t mark me like he was supposed to. I thought he needed this in order to activate his alpha powers. I thought him mating would give his pack immunity against the full moon.
Why did he not do it?
“And I’m your Luna,”
