Moon Goddess Appears

Karrah, Maxius, Vestuvious, and Laurel showed a surprising amount of self-control... considering each couple is freshly mated, as they sat there enjoying each other's company.

"Dad, do you happen to know what's been going on with the rogues yet?" Karrah asked.

"Unfortunately, no. I'm still not that far in their ranks. My cover was blown though, because I couldn't allow them to get to Sable. Since I didn't know about you being my daughter at that time, my focus was on her." Vestuvious responded. Karrah nodded her head to show she understood. She was about to ask more when a bright purple light with white streaks suddenly appeared by the edge of the couch where little Alpha Sable slept soundly... a peaceful smile gracing her lips. As they watched the light, it went from a small ball of light with a purple center and a white outline to a crescent moon with the same coloring.

Slowly, the crescent moon expelled more bright light... an indescribable powerful aura radiating from it. While Maxius and Vestuvious appeared to be a little uneasy and ready to spring into action, Karrah and her mother, Head High Priestess Laurel, were calm with apparent fascination and awe showing clearly on their faces... like they knew something. Slowly... before their very eyes, the bright duo colored crescent moon formed the outline of a very in shape full-figured woman. After the outline was finished, her features came fairly fast, starting with hip-long wavy, silk-looking hair. The four of them watched in awe as the Moon Goddess showed herself to them. Each couple held hands tightly as they watched the miracle unfolding in front of their very eyes.

When the purple and white light disappeared, a beautiful young woman was standing before them. She stood about 5'9", and her hip-long wavy silk-like hair was blondish-white. Her skin-tight silver and purple floor-length dress accentuated her toned athletic body. The low-cut chest area showed just enough to entice the imagination... her slender waist had a deep purple stripe two inches wide. Each side of her dress had a slightly v-ed slit from the lower hip down to the floor, showing off her purple strappy heels. Her sleeves were long, loose, and held together by a very small amount of fabric at the shoulder, elbow, and wrist. The young woman's face was gentle yet authoritative and fierce. On her forehead were three moons... a left crescent moon, a full moon, and a right crescent moon. Her eyes...an almost cat-like appearance, were a beautiful vibrant purple and under thin, arched eyebrows. Her nose was narrow and small while her lips were full and plump... holding a gentle smile. Before the beautiful woman made contact, Karrah and Laurel bowed their heads in respect.

"Moon Goddess. We're honored you chose to appear to us " Karrah said. At those words, Maxius and Vestuvious followed suit and bowed their heads in respect. In return, the Moon Goddess smiled gently before leaning down slightly kissing Sable's forehead, and leaving behind a shimmering purple lip print before it faded to barely visible. Standing straight once again, she lifted her left hand to chest level and quickly snapped her fingers. Instantly, a chair appeared behind her with cushions. When the Moon Goddess sat, she spoke.

"Thank-you, Karrah. Maxius, Laurel, Vestuvious... I chose now to appear to you because I wanted to give you all a chance to talk." she paused briefly as she turned her attention over to Head High Priestess Laurel and Vestuvious before continuing. "Vestuvious, your first mate was killed in a rogue attack days before your fifteenth birthday. It was unforeseen, and I apologize for that." his eyes widened briefly before he nodded his head in understanding. Then she turned to Head High Priestess Laurel and spoke. "Your mate, the Dr. you saw, was meant to either bring you happiness with him or open you up to your true happiness. It was dependent on how strongly you felt the mate bond. When you barely felt it but smiled teary-eyed at him, I knew your love for Vestuvious was stronger than the bond, which is rare. Your love for Vestuvious gave you the strength to withstand his rejection. The Dr. didn't believe in Mates, so he had already planned on rejecting his mate before he met you, and decided at that same moment that he made that plan to choose someone pure and with the same beliefs to carry on his bloodline." Moon Goddess paused and waved her right hand. Instantly, a cup of coffee with hot cocoa mixing in floated to her left hand. She took a sip and continued.

"Laurel, Vestuvious, I waited until now to grant your wish to become Mates because I wanted to see if you'd come clean to Karrah and tell her the truth. Ommittance of full facts is still hiding the truth. Telling Karrah about her father was the trigger for granting your wish." Moon Goddess paused and looked at each of them in turn before speaking again.

"Now... I have some information that you all need to know. The rogues are after Sable. They found out that she's the destined Elemental Luna. How I cannot tell you. That's for you to discover. Her parents are alive but imprisoned by the rogues. Sable will be the one to find them. After her first shift, they'll be able to find her. We need to keep her from shifting until after she meets her Mate at the latest. This will keep her hidden until she gets the pull to her Mate. My kiss on her forehead gives her my full blessings and protection. Laurel, you'll need to cast a spell to keep her from shifting. When she completes the mating bond, the spell will break. Karrah and Maxius, your task is to raise Sable as your own. Vestuvious, your task is to train Sable in Martial Arts. Laurel, you'll also need to train her in the hidden arts. Karrah, please stand." Moon Goddess stated as she stood. Karrah stood and walked over to Moon Goddess.

"Bow your head slightly." Karrah complied just as Moon Goddess raised both her hands over her head where a moon-like glow flowed from her hands and surrounded her. When the glow flowed back into Moon Goddess's hands, Karrah's eyes swirled with all the colors of the elements. "Maxius, please stand and bow your head slightly." Maxius complied and Moon Goddess repeated what she did with Karrah with the same outcome.

"I've given you both the abilities of an Elemental wolf. This will help you to raise Sable. It also strengthens your bond with her so you'll have a better idea of what to do when you're unsure. She's not your average wolf, so there will be different challenges while raising her. Especially with the upcoming blessings that I have in store for each of you. Karrah and Maxius, your special blessing is coming within the next few weeks or so." Moon Goddess turned towards Laurel and Vestuvious and continued. "Your special blessing will come within that time as well." Their eyes widened a bit, and Moon Goddess smiled. "I'll be around... just a call away." With that, she disappeared just as she appeared. They all sat in stunned silence... absorbing everything.... smiling. Slowly, High Priestess Laurel stood beside Sable, her arms extended over her.

"Little Alpha Sable... for your safety, I bind your shifting abilities. Your first shift shall be once you complete the mating process, as decreed by the Moon Goddess. As is willed, so shall it be " Head High Priestess Laurel closed her eyes while a brilliant purplish-white light surrounded Sable for a few minutes before slowly being absorbed by her. Laurel opened her eyes and let her arms fall to her side. She was exhausted.

"Karrah, your chambers next to mine are still available and assigned to you. I'll arrange for a crib now and for the linked smaller chambers to be added to yours tomorrow. For now, go ahead and eat something and get some rest. We'll figure out as much as we can starting tomorrow." Vestuvious stood up and instantly enveloped Laurel in an intimate embrace as Karrah nodded in response. Karrah stood up and hugged her parents each in turn as Maxius gently picked up Sable, careful not to wake her.

"See you both tomorrow. Goodnight." Karrah said as they walked next door into her own chambers. "Maxius, we can put Sable on our bed while we eat a little bit and wait for the crib."

"Alright, darling." Maxius responded quietly as he followed Karrah to the bed and watched her arrange the pillows where they'd keep her safe during the wait. A few minutes later, he layed Sable down and eagerly embraced Karrah before quickly and passionately covering her lips with his own. Their kiss quickly turned into a fiery, passionate make-out session, broken only by the knock on the door.

Slowly and with a small groan, they pulled away from each other and responded.

"Enter." Karrah commanded kindly. Almost instantly, a small handful of people came in carrying a wide selection of baby supplies, from diapers and formula to clothing and toys. The crib was set up for the night in the lounge area of the chambers just a few feet away from the table and chairs, which had a small assortment of food and drinks arranged on it. A young woman walked over to them and bowed respectfully to Karrah before speaking.

"High Priestess Head Healer Karrah. It's wonderful to see you again. I wish it was under better circumstances. We brought you some supplies for the night for the little one, as well as some food and clothing for your Mate. If you need anything, please send for me. My name is Jaylynne." Karrah snuggled into Maxius briefly before responding.

"Thank-you, Jaylynne. We appreciate it. We're gonna need everyone here to help us raise our foster daughter. She's very special,l and will need some unusual care." Karrah said. Jaylynne smiled wide and nodded her head in excitement.

"Ooooh, that sounds like so much fun!!! Can I take care of her while you both eat? I promise to be quiet, and I'll leave right after you get ready to go to bed, I promise. Please!!!" she begged as she bounced quickly up and down on her toes. They smiled big in amusement as they observed her, even while Maxius responded.

"Alright. But just until we get ready to go to bed. We need to eat. Sable needs her diaper changed, a bottle, and a set of clothes before she gets wrapped into a blanket and put her in her crib. She's a newborn, so be extra careful with her." Jaylynne squeed in delight before quickly nodding her head in understanding. As Karrah and Maxius headed to the table to eat, Jaylynne quickly headed over to Sable to take care of her.

The sky was even darker when Karrah and Maxius headed over to bed to lie down to get some much-needed sleep. Jaylynne was just finishing up Sable's feeding.

"Jaylynne, please bring Sable's crib closer to the bed. Just about thirteen feet closer will work. It'll be easier for me to keep an eye on her." Karrah said through a yawn. She was exhausted just as much, if not more, than Maxius and her newly discovered father, Vestuvious.

"Of course," Jaylynne said quickly. She lifted the crib slowly with magick, placed the crib where she was instructed, and left for bed herself... Sable sound asleep. Though exhausted, Maxius and Karrah completed the Mating process, went to bed, and the trio slept soundly until morning.
