Hunting

Bill after hearing the man's words he directly searched his surroundings for anything he can use as a weapon but didn't find anything to use at that time he glanced at the cloaked man only to see him cutting some branches and skewing the bear's meat that he has cut earlier then placed it on fire

Bill has suddenly felt enlightened as he walked towards the nearest tree cut one of it's branches and then found a rock that had a sharp edge and began cutting the head of the branch making it look like a spear "alright i am ready for the hunt"

he then walked into the forest while searching for any animal that he could find

then while walking around he heard the sound of branches being cut only to find a wild rabbit eating the tall grass around a thick tree, the rabbit was plump from eating a lot

"now is my chance" Bill said softly while approaching the rabbit quietly, the rabbit didn't seem to notice Bill approaching as it chewed on the oily tall grass but then it's hair stood up and looked around it in a panic and saw Bill that sensed danger from the spear he is carrying and then it quickly ran but Bill didn't let it go so easily as he chased after it

while Bill was chasing the rabbit he saw it go further and further until it got away but then he heard it's shriek then it went silent Bill was very confused as to what happened so he quickly approached the source of the sound and saw the rabbit in the mouth of a very big python that had green color and a very tall body as it's snake eye stared at the foreign intruder that dared to disturb it's meal time so it put down the rabbit and then approached Bill slowly

Bill was horrified from it's sight so he slowly walked back "i didn't mean to disturb you" Bill was retreating slowly before darting in the opposite direction but the big python coiled around Bill and hissed dangerously as he lifted Bill from the ground as he was screaming "No i can't die here i still have to rescue my mother" Bill had only one hand free that was carrying the spear so as the python neared his head towards Bill he suddenly saw a sharp object nearing his head, the python dodged the spear as it hissed in anger

Bill  fell into despair as he knew that he was dead for sure as the python was about stretch it's body and mince Bill's body it was blocked by a big hand that clutched it's head "hehe so you want it eat him" the python felt an aura that was as heavy as mountain descend on it's body as it let go of Bill wanting to escape this dangerous situation "did i tell you to run?" the cloaked man appeared in front of the python then stretched his hand and brought it down as light was in the form of a net caught it then pinned it to the ground making it unable to move only hissing miserably

Bill was watching all of this while being stunned"thank you sir for saving my life"

the man didn't look toward Bill as he approached the python and then formed a light knife then stabbed it in the python's head "HISS!" the python hissed in pain but couldn't move from the light net so it just watched the cloaked man helplessly with fear in it's eyes

the man pressed deeper into it's head before digging out a small ball at the size of marble dyed in red from the python's blood he cleaned the blood with a white tissue then opened a bag and threw that marble inside it

Bill watched this process and couldn't help but ask "what is this?"

the python was on it's last breath as the man held the net in a carrying bag stance as he started walking towards the hut "it is the core of the wild beasts that contain their refined mana"

"then what the use of it?" Bill asked again while following the man

the man didn't reply as he walked

when they reached the hut the python was already dead so the man brought a large basin of water and then started skinning the python carefully taking it's skin and then chopping it's head

he then took it's heart,eyes and poison duct then chopped it's body into large chunks of meat and then opened his small bag that was at size of an adult head

"it wont fit their sir" Bill said while watching the man's hand movements

when the cloaked man neared then large chunks of meat to the mouth of the bag the chunks suddenly disappeared

Bill was surprised "magic is so amazing!"

the man then turned his head to Bill "what was your feeling at that moment"

"which moment?" Bill asked confused

"when your life was at a threat" the man looked at Bill's eyes as if seeing through him with his cold and ruthless gaze

Bill shuddered as he looked at the man's eyes he compared it with the python's eyes but found this man's gaze more terrifying "I-i think i was scared at that moment and didn't know what to do" said while shuddering

the man looked away without commenting he went to his usual place between the two large boulders and sat down cross legged and started his meditation with his eyes closed

Bill was about to go to sleep when his stomach rumbled he was very hungry

"you should continue your hunt but this time don't run deep" the man didn't even move or open his eyes he just said these words and returned to his silence

Bill went to pick his spear again and went to the forest, the sun was about to go down and night comes so he hurried into the forest looking all around but didn't dare to to go any deeper like last time

by the time it was late at night Bill returned to the hut very exhausted and panting he didn't catch anything so he returned in disappointment and saw the man still meditating

"i will continue tomorrow"said while panting, he went to his bed and quickly entered into deep sleep

in the next morning under the scorching sun in the forest there was a kid running after a deer as he followed it in every turn and direction it took but then the deer was faster than him and knew the forest as it was it's home so Bill stopped in his tracks deep in thought as to what he should do to catch anything he tried to catch rabbits, deer and even wild ducks but was never successful

so he went to the man who was doing some push ups while having a boulder on his back

"can you teach me how to hunt sir?" Bill asked while standing beside the cloaked man

the man stopped his training as he put down the boulder and stood up slightly panting

"so you want the easy road after all as expected from a kid" he looked at him with disdain

Bill refuted " i want only to learn the basics"

the man then replied "then beg me till i'm in the mood to teach you" said the man while staring at Bill's eyes
