Summoning the summoner

Blacked out

I woke up with a sharp pain and a major headache.

“Mom what happened?”

My mom apologized with tears in her eyes “ I’m so sorry its usually easy to sense them coming. I’m so sorry son” 

I replied to my mother “mom it wasn’t your fault you were training Penny so of course you weren’t aware. I mean I wasn’t even aware the guy was so quiet.”

“No son being distracted teaching your sister is not a good excuse for you getting hurt.”

As she said that the door opened with a bang “WHAT HAPPENED WHERE IS HE!” My dad came running in with a tub of ice cream. My mom looked at him with curiosity in here eyes... “umm honey where were you and why do you have icecream?”

My dad with a red face said “its for you dear”

Mom looked at him with sarcasm “it took you a whole day to get icecream?”

My dad looked embarrassed “Hey you know its hard to get to the store we live in the middle of nowhere and those guards dont let us go anywhere I had to sneak past them. Be glad after seeing you on a rage yesterday I knew that you needed your icecream”

Mom smiled and gave him a hug “thank you dear” as she giggled.

Dad then turned his gaze back at me “who dare to hurt you? Do i have to summon one of my friends to teach him a lesson?”

Mother put a hand on his shoulder “dont worry dear I wiped their memory. Remember we cant harm the humans.”

“BUT HE HURT MY SON!”

Mother was calm and replied “whats done is done we cant really do anything about it. Penny already had Kitty take him back to the city border”

Dad was still upset but calmed down a little.

Kai was at the top of the stairs looking down at the scenery and said in a sarcastic tone under his breath “useless thats why you guys needed me”

Mom shot a deathly glare at him and he cowered back into his room.

As he went back into his room I saw Penny staring at me as if she was trying to figure something out.

I then began to ask “Penny” and she immediately cut me off. “Mom? I dont know if I’m seeing things but Eric has a brown hair where he got hit.... maybe its dirt?”

Mom looked to see what she was talking about. “Honey it’s probably dirt” then proceeded to dust off my head gently. As she swiped the spot on my head she saw that my hair was slowly turning brown.

I couldn’t see anything but judging by the look on her face I knew something was going on. Then she said softly “ Eric, honey I think your power maybe starting to come in...”
