Finally it is my birthday party or should I say our birthday party. The party will be the talk of the town because a lot of people will be attending. All the neighbouring packs, our teachers, classmates and friends or more like Nathan's friends since he is so popular. Carl and I on the other hand aren't that popular but I at least have a friend unlike Carl who never made friends with anyone after his best buddy Carlson went abroad.

"The house was busy and everyone was rushing because guest had started coming. I stood upstairs looking down at the grand and beautiful decoration made by Luna Magret. She is a wonderful Luna and mother to her children for she doesn't discriminate between them. The house started becoming crowded so I went back into my room to do some final touches.

"The party had already started. After Nathan had been shown to the crowd, he did his speech after his mom had already done hers so i was next to follow suit. My own introduction was kinda different and it was all Luna Magret's idea so i couldn't say no. My time came and when i was descending the stairs, i was searching for those pair of eyes that always captivates me through the crowd but I was not successful with my search which made me feel a little disappointed.

After a speech from me, I joined Mike who took me out and giving me his gift for my birthday before we joined the others in the fun inside. I've was still looking for Carl but no sign of him which got me thinking if he has gone out. I could barely dance when Luna kidnapped me from Mike introducing me to all her friends and the unmated werewolves at the party which I most say was very tiring. My cue to leave and join Mike came when the Alpha took her away to meet some high level guest I think.

"Everything went on well then i finally spotted Carl in a very sexy and tight fit grey tuxedo suit with his parents the Alpha and luna having a chat with the high level guest I earlier on mentioned but when I sent Mike to his car because he siad something urgent came up and came back, he was gone. I tried searching again but still couldn't find him so i gave up cuz i was already so tired. It's 1am and the party is still on but people had started leaving and since I had no friends apart from Mike, I felt alone though I can't say same for Nathan cuz he is surrounded by his friends who have been ogling at me throughout but i ignored. I was about going to my room when one of Nathan's friends Claude approached me. He is quite the catch and the only one who hasn't looked down on me in his group.

"Hi Kate. He greeted.

"Hi Claude. I replied a little shocked that he could approach me.

"You look gorgeous as always Kate. He complimented which came as a suprise.

"Oh thanks. I smiled at him then he brought out a little box from his pocket handing it to me

"Happy birthday Kate and hope you will accept my gift because it's from my heart. Gosh I was touched so I collected and opened it to see a nice bracelet.

"Wao its beautiful thanks Claude. I most say I'm suprised and I do not know what to say but I do appreciate your gift thanks a lot.

"I'm happy you like my gift Kate. I want to let you know I've never supported Nathan and I will never support him because I know you aren't any of the things he says you are. I see beyond the physical look Kate and I know you are born for greatest so do not let his words get to you.

He told me and I found myself hugging him and at that moment, I realised I got few people who do not look down on me. He was suprise but he definitely returned my hug though it was a brief hug.

"Thanks Claude. Seriously I wasn't expecting anyone from Nathan's group to see me differently from the way he sees me so I'm overwhelmed with all this thank you.

"It's cool. so.....I guess we are friends now? He asked shyly

"Of course we are. I replied smiling.

"Thanks Kate. I will see around bye.

He left going back to his group of friends while I stare at the gift he got for me. Guys while we were chatting I could feel stares from Nathan and the others but I felt someone esle was digging a hole at my back with his stares but when I turned and look around, I couldn't see anyone. I continue going to my room when I saw a shadow passed at the far end of the corridor.

"I chased after it to the balcony but it's seems as if the person vanished but I could still feel the persons present. Since I couldn't reveal myself, I had to pretend I do not feel anything but I was alert in case he tries to attack....Yes it's a he. I waited but nothing happened then I heard my name so I turned to see the Alpha and luna coming towards my direction but since the spirit was still lurking around, I rushed and met them half way.

"Alpha, Luna I bowed acknowledging their presence.

"Rise Kathleen says the Alpha.

'Kate darling we are here to give your birthday gifts.

Luna spoke smiling as they brought out two small boxes and asked me to open them which I did as I was told. I opened them and one was a chain with a green pendant which had white and Purple stripes attache to it while the other box was full with jewelries that is from necklaces to bracelets and earrings.

"Wao these are so beautiful thank you Alpha thank you Luna.

"This pendant was given by your mother to be given to you on your 18 birthday. Luna informed her sadly

"Thanks Luna Magret. I do not know what i would have become of me if you and Alpha Antony had not taken me in. I sincerely told them.

"Silly girl of course we could never ever let you fend for yourself not after my promise to your parents. Luna replied

"She is right Kate. Your family and ours were good friends so we could never turn our back on you. Alpha seconded.

"I know more reason why I'm grateful.

"Okay dear we will leave you now. The guest have started leaving so we will go bid them farewell

"I nodded and bowed as they take their leave. Today has been an eventful day and I'm so tired to do anything right now guess I will go to bed like this. I entered my room and got startled when I suddenly heard a voice.

"You are back.

"Jesus you scared me Carl.

"I'm sorry princess. So how was your birthday party?

"It was fun. I replied happily

"I can tell. He replied sarcastically

"Was that necessary Carl?

"I'm sorry. let's not argue maybe some other day but not today. Come with me wanna show something. Carl said pulling me along.

"I followed him to his room where he walked towards his closet pressing on something then a small passage way appeared which got me like "Where the hell is he taking me to".

"Please follow me.

He worded and I did as I was told when we then arrived at a dark room or is a parlour when the lights suddenly came on and I swear to God if I had previously told you guys that my birthday party decorations were excellent then do please crash that because right in front of me is something more exquisite and magnificent like a paradise on earth.

"Wao...I worded still admiring the beauty of this place.

"You like it? Carl asked

"I love it Carl. damn how and when did you do all these? I asked.

"I've been planing it even before my birthday princess. I wanted everything to be perfect on this special day of yours. Wait I'm coming he said.

"I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I'm so fascinated by the beauty of this place. Carl is such a charmer so guys tell me how I'm I suppose to not fall in love with him how? Carl came back with a medium size box two to be precise and handed one over to me.

" Come on open it princess he said and which I did. I saw a complete set of two jewelleries with my name engraved to it. A chain, bracelet, earrings, watch and a ring yea yea two set of it but different designs guys can you imagine. Guess what I did next......I gave him a tight and long hug.

"Thank you Carl for this is one of the best gift I've received tonight I told him

"Why not the best he asked teasingly.

"Because I received something mom left for me today. So your and mom's gift are the best i told him

"I'm happy they are princess he replied.

"Thanks Carl.

"Happy birthday princess and you are welcome. We released ourselves from the hug still smiling at each other.

"Did you prepare the other box for Nathan? I asked.

"Yes I did though it's not the same as yours. I can't let have the same gift as you. He said smiling

"Okay Sire. replied doing the police kinda salute and we both laughed at my action. He moved to the TV set and played Spanish guitar by Tony Braxton.

"Can i have this dance my lady? He asked

"Of course I replied taking his hand as we slowly sway to the rhythm of the music and I know the night just started.
