I am so happy, but so nervous. I don't know how he is going to respond when I tell him I'm a hybrid. I know that Mark said it would be fine but I just don't fully trust them yet. It's hard to trust people when all you've known is horror and having to hide for years. But I guess it's now or never. Mark and Anthony pop over to the table and dish up their plates as well and everyone sits down to eat. "I have to tell you something Zackary. I am really nervous about it though and I hope it won't change how you see me or make you want to reject me." "Love, nothing you say will make me want to reject you. You can tell me anything." I smile again and take a deep breath, "I am a hybrid. I don't remember much about my parents, my father was killed when I was four and our pack was attacked. My mom was able to get me out of there but we both felt the bond break with my father. I know he was a wolf and I think he was an Alpha, but I don't remember anything else really about him. My mom was a witch... And a very powerful one. She created this cabin and we managed to live here for a few years in peace. Until the men found us... I was ten when they came back for me and my mom. She had me hide and Athena, my wolf, concealed my scent so they wouldn't be able to find me. I heard them. I heard the venom in the leader's voice as he asked my mom where I was. It was my uncle apparently, he called me his niece and then killed my mom when she wouldn't tell him where I was. So, I am a witch/wolf hybrid, and I have a crazy uncle who is after me and killing people to get to me. So I guess if you do reject me I will understand, but I hope you won't..."

Zackary

"Wow. That's a lot to have to go through at a young age. So you were alone for quite a few years then?" I am in shock at all that my mate just told me. I will protect her from anyone and anything that tries to take her away from me. I knew that she was special, especially with how beautiful and rare her wolf is. "Wait, you also said your wolf concealed your scent and you were only ten right? How old were you when you first got your wolf?" Mark asks her. I am also curious. "I was four when I first heard Athena, it was my birthday and I had just told my parents. That's actually when everything changed, I remember I told mom and dad about Athena and then they got a mindlink and dad told mom to take me and go. Then we got escorted out. Everything goes blank for a while then I remember my mom and dad arguing about her taking me and leaving again but this time we were outside, then my mom running away with me and the bond breaking." She goes quiet for a minute, obviously lost in her thoughts of that night. "Sweetheart, look at me please. I want you to know, I don't care if you are a hybrid. You were made for me. The Goddess picked you for me and I am extremely lucky she did. I will protect you for the rest of our lives. You are MY mate and no one will ever hurt you or take you from me." She looks up at me and smiles so wide, my heart skips a beat. I am madly in love with this woman already. She is perfect for me. Now to tell her about the pack and her new role that she will have. Hopefully it doesn't scare her off...

We continue breakfast and we are all talking and laughing. She gets along great with Mark and Anthony and that makes me happy. She gets up to start cleaning up so I get up to help her. "Sweetheart I need to tell you... I am actually the Alpha of my pack. Which means you will be the Luna if you accept me as your mate. Mark is my Beta and Anthony is actually my head warrior and one of my Delta's. You'll meet Matt, my Gamma, back at the pack and Shannon, Mark's mate and she is also a witch. I think you and Shannon will be great friends actually." She looks startled at all the information I just gave her and I can see she is talking to her wolf. She finally looks at me and I can't lie, I am so nervous at what she is about to say. "Ok. I will come back with you to your pack. I don't want to lose you. Athena says to trust you and I do. Plus I had a dream a few nights ago and my parents were there and also told me to trust my mate. So I trust you and I will go with you. But you should rest one more day before we depart. I can start packing things up as well, can I have space somewhere in the woods for my cabin?" I smile so wide and I pick her up and spin her around, "You can have as much space as you want, I will have some men clear whatever space you choose! You have made me the happiest wolf alive!" She laughs as I spin her around and it is just music to my ears. I am so happy that I will be coming home with my mate. This is the best day ever!

I am so happy! My mate has accepted me! I am also super nervous though, I am going to be a Luna. Am I even good enough to be one? What will the rest of the pack think about me? Are they nice? 'Would you relax girl? Mate won't let anything happen to us for one, and you are good enough. You were born for this role. The Goddess would never have paired you with him if she didn't think you could handle it. So stop worrying and just enjoy this moment!' 'I know Athena... It's just so much to take in. I am so happy about it though. I just want to do a good job and I want them to like me.' 'They will like you. What's not to like?' 'You're right. I guess I should start packing, we do leave tomorrow. I'm sure the guys are just ready to get back home. Maybe we should use a portal so we don't end up running into any rogues on the way back.' 'It doesn't hurt to ask, I doubt they would mind. All they need to do is picture where we are going and then you just look in their minds and create the portal. Easy enough and faster for sure.' "Zackary, me and Athena were just discussing about leaving tomorrow and I think it might be safer if I open a portal to just outside your pack so that we don't run into any rogues on the way back." "I think that is a great idea love! And remember it's your pack now too. How would we do it?" "Well you just picture in your mind where we are going then I would look into your mind and find the picture and create the portal. Easy enough, although this would be my first time doing this honestly." "Well practice makes perfect so I am all for it." Mark and Anthony agree as well, so that's the plan for tomorrow then. I head to my room and grab my big bag that my mom used to use. I come back into the kitchen and start chanting and things start moving into the bag. The guys are staring at me in awe. "What?" Mark snaps out of it first, "Are you packing EVERYTHING into that one bag?!" "Yes? I mean it will all fit. After we go outside tomorrow I am going to pack the cabin and garden into it too so I can take it all with me. That's why I asked if I could have some space in the forest at the pack for my cabin." I laugh at the looks they are giving each other. "You said Shannon is also a witch didn't you? Doesn't she have a bag she takes everywhere with her? I bet if you asked to look in it you would see it looks basically like a huge storeroom inside it." "Oh my Goddess, she does have a bag that goes everywhere with us! I never knew! I am so looking in it when we get home, I want to see what it looks like in there!" Mark is so excited it is hilarious, so I start laughing. I think this is going to be really fun living in a pack and actually being around people. I know I have a lot I am going to have to learn about pack life, but this definitely makes it worth it. Too finally have friends and a family.
