Reborn with hatred

chapter 8

Thomas Pov.

I was standing by the people that were dancing when I saw John kiss my sister. For some reason it didn't sit well with me. I overheard him telling her that he had to use the bathroom so I quietly went out into the hallway to hide before he came out of the door. In a matter of minutes he came through, but he didnt head in the direction of the bathroom instead he went outside. So I snuck out and saw him grab ahold of my eldest sister Bethany's arm. I didn't stay too long, only long enough to hear them yelling about kissing Cassandra and that it was part of their plan. I quickly headed back in, in fear of being caught listening in. I walked over to the window and looked out at the two still arguing when I saw John kiss Bethany. Now that made me confused because he was just kissing Cassandra.my mind racing thinking of what plan are they talking about and why did he kiss both of his sisters. I've got to figure out what they are up to so that Cassandra doesn’t get hurt. As I’m still watching them and John is now walking away from Bethany, Cassandra came over to me only to witness Bethany get into her car. I looked over at her as she was typing on her phone. When she was done she told me I could go play with my friend. So I walked off after smiling half heartedly at her.

My friend’s name is Derek, he is 3 years older than me, but he is our new neighbor’s kid they moved in about a month after Cassandra brought me to her house, so we see each other a lot and have become best buds, his mom and dad aren't the greatest they always leave him home alone. Cassandra started to let him come over to our place so that he wasn't lonely all the time. I found him in the far corner just sitting on the ground playing on his handheld game system. He looked up at me when I stopped in front of him. Sitting down next to him I started talking to him about what I saw. We had both agreed we needed to find out what they were up to. Derek likes Cassandra also. She is nice to both of us and always takes us to the park or out to eat when we get hungry. We always try to help her in the best way we can, like last week she was having an issue with her computer so when she went to bed we snuck out of my room and grabbed her computer. We had fixed it for her and the next morning she thought that she probably dreamed of it not working. Little does she know that Derek and I are really good at computers, he can hack into anything from computers to gaming systems as to me I'm able to take apart and rebuild computers or systems. We make an amazing team when it comes to these things.

Derek and I started to quiet down when we noticed that she was coming over to us. We don’t want her to know what we are talking about so by the time she got to hearing range we had talked about a game as though that was what we were talking about this whole time. She smiled down at me and told us that it was time to go home. Derek and I got up off the floor and started walking with her. When we got to the door John told her he would walk us to the car.when we got close she looked down at me and raised her eyebrow because she probably caught me glaring at John. I just smiled up at her, giving her a reassuring look stating I was fine. Thankfully she got the message and turned her attention back to John. When we got to the car the dummy kissed her hand. Like what century does he think we live in? I looked over at Derek and noticed he had a mortified look on his face and I internally started laughing. After they said their byes we was in the car and on our way home.
