Hold Me

Chapter 2

"W-What?" Jude stuttered not knowing what to say to his mate's sudden confession. "Is-Is there something wrong? I can make—"

"No, you can't do anything about it. I'm not gay, Jude. I don't like men." Alexander said. Jude's fingernails dug into his thighs. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as his lips trembled.

"But Alex, w-we are m-mates…. We are s-supposed to love e-each other," Jude said in hope that his mate would give him a chance.

This was his last hope…He didn't want to let go of him..… He thought he finally had someone…. Why is fate being so cruel to him?

"I can't. I can't love you…. I can't even think about being with a man. Our pairing…... our pairing must be a mistake like how you're a male omega—" Jude flinched."—It's just not right."

The omega looked down heartbroken.

Male omegas are extremely rare. Ninety-five percent of the omegas are females and people like Jude come under the remaining five percent. They are considered unnatural—mistakes of nature. That was the reason why Jude grew up shunned, abandoned, and bullied by everyone.

He blinked away his tears and looked at Alexander. He never thought his mate would say this to him. He never thought his mate would see him as a mistake.

The omega stared at his mate's eyes, he was desperate to find something that would make his mate give him a chance.

"And what about children? If I don't have a child, there won't be an heir to the Ivanov Corp."

Jude gulped as his mate spoke.

"I…. I-I can get p-pregnant," He said, his lips trembling as he spoke.

Alexander scoffed, " Oh, can you?" He leaned closer to the omega. "The chances of a male omega getting pregnant is only ten percent and the chances of them losing that child is up to ninety-five percent. Do you really think you would be so lucky to be in that five percent? And top of that, you think I would sleep with you?" He said, disgust evident in his deep voice.

Jude whimpered as his tears fell uncontrollably. It's been only a month since he met his mate and things are already falling apart.

Everything Alexander said was true. He was just a useless burden to the alpha.

"Look, if it was up to me, I would have never consented to this marriage but I was helpless, okay? I had no other choice," Alexander spat out frustrated.

Jude looked down and stayed silent. He felt so exhausted and heartbroken. The boy felt so stupid for thinking someone like Alexander would be happy with him. He realized happily ever after doesn't exist for people like him.

Alexander leaned back and took a bottle of water. He sipped on the bottle as he looked at Jude with a serious face. "Whatever we've discussed right now should stay between us. I don't want any of these to reach my parents' ears. Do you hear me? "

Jude didn't look up or say anything, he just nodded helplessly. The omega felt like his dreams were turning into nightmares.

"Wipe your tears and make yourself presentable," The alpha said as their vehicle stopped. Jude quickly wiped his tears when he saw the door opening.

Alexander got out of the limousine first, followed by a nervous omega.

"Welcome, Mr. Ivanov. I'll show you your room, please follow me." Jude heard someone say but he didn't look up. Alexander didn't speak anything as he followed the worker who guided them to their room.

The omega looked around the place. It was a beach resort. He could see the ocean as well as hear the sound of waves. Jude closed his eyes when his bangs got into his eyes because of the strong wind. He swept it to the side and looked around the place again. Everything was so beautiful and calming. It was his first time being in a place like this but sadly he wasn't in a mindset to enjoy it.

They reached the room quickly. Alexander thanked the worker before opening the room. It was a luxury suite room.

Jude stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to do. Alexander took off his coat and watch before walking to the bathroom.

The omega felt uncomfortable. It felt like he was invisible to the alpha. This is not how he thought things would turn out. He knew there would be awkwardness between them but he never thought his mate would straight up ignore him.

He sighed and flopped down on the bed. Just when he was about to close his eyes, there was a knock on the door.

Jude groaned as he stood up and walked to the door. He opened it to see their driver standing there with two bags in his hands. "Mr. Ivanov, these are your bags." He said as he handed the bags to the omega.

Jude thanked the driver as he took the bags from him. He facepalmed himself for forgetting about their clothes.

He opened the one which had a tag saying 'Jude'. There was a pair of silk pajamas and underwear along with a pair of jeans and a light blue shirt.

The omega knew it was packed by his mother-in-law because she was the one who went shopping for him. Jude sighed as he took out the pajamas.

He stared at the fabric mindlessly for a few minutes before he heard the bathroom door opening.

Alexander walked out of it making the omega gulp at the view. The alpha stood there with a towel wrapped around his hips, his upper half fully exposed. His dark hair fell into his eyes making them darker into a midnight blue shade. Water droplets teasingly rolled down from the alpha's abs to his prominent v line.

Jude looked away blushing. The alpha looked like he was sculpted by the god himself. He looked so heavenly and sinful at the same time.

Alexander walked towards the bed and took his bag. To avoid the upcoming awkwardness, Jude stood up and rushed to the bathroom. He decided to take a hot bath to calm his nerves.

Alexander was on the bed, typing away something on his phone when Jude walked out of the bathroom. The omega stood there nervously fiddling with the hem of his pajama shirt.

After mustering up a small amount of courage, he slowly walked up to the bed. He cleared his throat when he was near the bed. Alexander looked up at him quizzically. The omega blushed as he slowly sat on the bed. He sat there facing away from the alpha. Jude felt his fingers shaking as he fiddled with them.

Alexander watched the omega as he bit the inside of his cheek. "I'm not comfortable sleeping with strangers." The alpha said before going back to typing on his phone.

Jude's eyes widened. He blushed red in embarrassment as he looked at his mate. "Oh….. I-I'll sleep on the c-couch then… " He said but the alpha didn't even bother to look at him. The omega silently took a pillow from the bed before he walked to the couch.

Jude felt his vision blur from the tears as he sat on the couch. He felt so helpless and worthless in front of the alpha. He whimpered and curled up into a ball on the big couch while he covered his mouth to muffle the sobs.

He just hoped for all this to be a nightmare that would be gone when he wakes up tomorrow.

He just wanted his mate to love him back.
