Chapter SEVEN: Planning

Walking in on Thomas in my office really made my mood more terrible than what it was.  With everything going on and then the Lunar Pack is holding the mating ball, I really wasn't in the mood for his snarky attitude.

"Why are you in my office Thomas?" I questioned through gritted teeth.

"Well dearest I am waiting on you to get back from the coven so we can decide on the next move."

"The next move is for you to get out of my chair and go back to your pack.  I have nothing new to tell you."

"Really Minerva?  Are you really going to kick me off your territory for nothing?"

"You have your own pack to run Thomas and I need to prep for the mating ball that I am hosting on Saturday.  So get off my territory. Henry show him out, his stay is not welcome at this time."

"Yes Alpha," replied Henry.

I watch Thomas get up and walk towards the door when he stopped and looked at me. "You know Minerva, you can't do this alone." 

As he finished walking out.  I sat down and started looking around and mindlinked Henry, "When you get him gone, have the surveillance team sweep the whole pack house of bugs." 

"Can do Alpha."

I shut the link off and put my head in my hands, how am I supposed to do all this and now plan something extravagant?  The stress is eating at me worse than usual.  If I had a mate or even Henry this wouldn't be a problem to do.  I set back and started thinking, about a darker theme for the ball and maybe even make it masquerade because why not, it matched my mood.  I started jotting down ideas when I felt Henry mindlink me, "Simon is awake and asking for you."

"I'll be right there."

I made my way across to the pack hospital wondering what he was going to say.  I guess in a way this is all my fault as I sent them home instead of asking them to stay here but I guess now would be a better time than any.

I approached the desk and the girl behind took one look and goes "He's to the right at the end on the left."  I waved and walked that direction.  As I approached I could hear Simon and Celeste talking, I knocked quietly not to startle them.  "Come in Minerva."

"Hello Simon, Celeste, it is good to see you alive and awake and not chained to my gate."

"Ahh yes I have to agree but I need you to know that it isn't just Red Moon wolves that are doing this.  They are also involving rogues and a few vamps from what I gathered when I was being beaten."

"Were you able to see any faces or tattoos?" I asked.

"No they made sure they were covered up but their smells alone is what gave them away." he said in disgust.

"Are you worried about your coven at all?  I can spare some room for them if they are at risk?" 

"No I don't think that they are in jeopardy as a whole.  It is mainly us with coming to you about our little girl."

"Interesting.  I am working towards trying to get Thomas to come clean on this.  I have a feeling he is involved but I am not sure how to get him to spill.  The mating ball is Saturday and I know he will be back."

"Just keep him close Minerva and be prepared for anything."

"I will Simon.  Get rest.  When you are released, ask Dr. Reece to mindlink me and I will come get you and take you to a suite with an adjoining room for Scarlett."

"We will. Thank you Minerva."

I walked out of the room not feeling any better about Thomas.  His wolves are involved with rogues and vampires.  None of this is going to be easy.

I crawled into bed laying there wondering how this was going to play out.  This new nightmare actually scared me because I wasn't sure if I should take it as a warning or ignore it.

"Now Minerva quit second guessing yourself."  I sat up at that voice.  So sweet and soothing and full of authority.  

"Moon Goddess, why have you came to me?" I asked when I saw her standing at my door.  She is definitely beautiful with flowing grey hair and a sky blue dress.

"My child you know who is behind it and what you are seeing is not a nightmare. It is a sort of vision.  With you being part angel and your wolf from the Goddess of the Sun, you have some smaller abilities you have yet to notice. Such as watching Thomas kill you."

"So basically I can somewhat see the future.  Just something else to add to the mix." I said rolling my eyes.

"Child I was not happy when you lost everything, but I needed you to because I knew this day would come and Thomas would not have to work at trying to kill you if your mate was still alive.  At least now you can have your second chance and be stronger than you have ever been."

"Wait second chance?  I didn't think I would ever get one."

"Of course you would but I needed you and Alectrona to be stronger than ever to defeat the atrocities laid out before you."

"I understand Selene, what must I do to prepare?"

"Keep your friends and mate close and keep your enemies closer."  With that she disappeared.  I guess I need to keep Thomas busy with me.  Time to come up with a plan and get him back near me.

Picking up the phone I text Thomas. "Hey sweetheart, I miss you having you in my bed."   I also sent a tasteful picture to get my point across.  I laid my phone down and curled up.  I heard my phone ding, it was a reply from Thomas, "I am coming back beautiful get naked."  I smiled to myself knowing I was about to have my way. 

----Thomas POV----

I was a little taken aback when Minerva kicked me off her territory.  It's like she knows something but doesn't want to act on it.  I left her thinking about what I said and headed back to my pack.  Upon arrival, my Delta Bryan came to greet me and let me know that everything has ran smooth and that my favorite omega was waiting in my bed for me.  

I walked up to my floor approaching my room when the door swung open to reveal Rachel.  "What are you doing?" I asked her.

"Why my Alpha I want to please you since we all know Minerva doesn't please you."

Growling at her. "Get out of my room and never speak of Alpha Minerva again." 

"But Thomas you always send for me when you get back from her, what makes this time any different?"

"I SAID LEAVE RACHEL!" using my Alpha voice on her.

Bowing she scurried down the hall.  No-one insults my Minerva that way.  She is a Goddess within her right and if I can't fully have her I will make sure no-one can.

I went to my office and worked on some paperwork to keep it from piling up.  I got a link from one of the wolves doing my dirty work that everything is going smoothly and no-one has suspected anything about the little witch girl that is being held by a rogue woman in town.

I headed up to my room for a quick shower and get some rest.  I have some planning to do about the mating ball and how to get Minerva to at least postpone it so I can attack her without other packs around.  

I laid down and a few minutes later I heard my phone ding.  "Hey sweetheart, I miss you having you in my bed."  was the message and along with it was a tasteful picture of the Goddess herself.  I replied, "I am coming back beautiful get naked."  

I thought she was onto me but I guess she isn't if she's wanting me in her bed.  I am coming my love and soon you will be dead.
