Sara's POV "Attention all boarders, the plane will be landing in five minutes, you're advised to put on your safety belts and brace for landing." The air hostess announced. I inhaled sharply as I fastened my seat belts. I closed my eyes and reminisced on the events of the past few hours. After managing to borrow the coffee shop owner's cellphone, I called Dora who came to pick me up along with her mate, I explained everything to her and she was supportive of my decision to run away from everything, in a bid to clear my head and not get entangled in some complicated drama. She booked my flight back to Massachusetts and promised to collect my things from the hotel room I had lodged in afterwards. Lucas was only able to salvage my passport before Khael's came looking for me there and I was fortunate enough to have them else my escape would have been impossible. As we landed, I hailed a taxi back to my cozy apartment, locked myself in and threw myself on the bed to sleep. I was relieved that I escaped from all the madness and though Fairy was still hurt from our rejection, excited for finding our second mate I was determined to let all that behind me and just focus on working and living a comfortable life like I always did. Being twenty-two years old without a mate had it's toil on me as I had to deal with the trauma and loneliness but now that I had two, I wasn't sure I wanted it any more. I pushed the thoughts aside and slept for few hours before going grocery shopping and preparing for work the next day. Monday came and I resumed at the LRW Empire for my normal job as a sales representative since we dealt with selling expensive furnitures, properties and real estate, the company thrived well and I was able to land a job there because of my outstanding qualification. Life was same as before at the company save for the rumors that we have a new CEO and that he was really attractive, I focused all of my attention and energy at being active at work so I wouldn't think of the crazy encounter of mine during the weekend. During our lunch break, all notable staff members were summoned to the conference room for a brief meeting and announcement of the new CEO. Reluctantly; I went there and wanted it to be over soon since I was less interested, I never got to meet the CEO of the company before and I honestly didn't care to. Five minutes after our arrival there, the door creaked upon and the clanging of heels against the ground resounded in the room, causing us all to remain silent. My eyes were glued to the table as my thoughts drifted away to Kiel, how much I loved him and how he rejected me. I was subconsciously aware that someone was speaking, a familiar voice actually but I paid no attention to it neither did I look up to see who it was until I heard the voice which stared as the main actor in my dreams. "It's finally nice to meet you all, I hope we can all work well together to make this company better and also become the best, cooperate with me just like you did with the ex-CEO and you'll all benefit from it." I looked up to see Kiel dressed like the handsome man he was and I was shocked to the core but not as shocked as seeing Lilian stand beside him, beaming with smiles. Everyone applauded him and I was stuck to a point, unable to do anything, even Fairy was confused. "I know you're all worried that I'm stepping down but I assure you that he's the best CEO LRW Empire will ever have!" Lilian hyped then went ahead to further praise him. She smiled widely at him as well and couldn't keep her hands off him. "It will be on the news very soon and don't be shocked to know that he's my fiance as well, treat him with respect." Lilian announced. Everyone except me cheered and clapped loudly for them and some other things I was too engrossed in my confusion to even notice, I was livid and mentally scolding myself. I had worked there for almost a year now and never knew that Lilian was my boss. I was working indirectly under my very terrible cousin which I had bad blood with, yes; Lilian is my cousin and it's a really complicated story. For the next ten minutes; Kiel gave his CEO speech and gave orders to some staff as well, Lillian smirked at me from the corner of her eyes as if she has planned this to spite me and not long after; she got a call and she had to leave. The entire meeting was over half an hour later with me having to either stutter or say something incoherent when it was my turn to speak on my departmental progress and Kiel pretended to not know me. Everyone began to leave the room when the meeting was over and I wasn't left behind not until Kiel stopped me. "Miss Williams? Please stay back for a moment." Kiel ordered. I gulped in nervously as it was just two of us left there, he spoke to others before they left more casually and I was literally panicking. "Get me some coffee and bagels." He ordered. "What?" I asked, startled. "I'm starving." He replied, nonchalantly. "Excuse me?" "Add some donuts as well, I prefer glazed donuts and no extra sugars to my coffee, I like it medium, bring it to my office, you know where that is don't you?" He said, ignoring my confused expression. "Kiel, I'm not your secretary or PA, I'm a sales rep and-" "In fifteen minutes time, I want it in fifteen minutes time, you may leave." He said, shutting me up. I scoffed, it wasn't enough to pretend like I was invincible. "Kiel-" "It's Sir or Mr. Lucien to you Sara." He snapped and I scoffed. "Sir, I'm not a secretary, the tides have changed sir, everyone does not have to obey your trivial orders." I spat, angrily. "And I'm not your friend, get me what I asked or you're fired. The tides have changed Sara, you said so yourself, learn to deal with it."
