Chapter 4

Kiel's POV

"What abomination of a coffee is this?" I barked as I spat out coffee, wearing a smug expression.

Sara flinched as the coffee stained her dress, she clenched her teeth in anger but couldn't obviously retaliate.

"What in heaven's name is this? Are you trying to murder me?" I asked, angrily.

I could see fear flash across her eyes as she waved her hands frantically in denial.

"Of course not, I won't dare to!" She denied, desperately.

"Why did you bring this to me, I asked for a decent coffee and this is all you could bring? Are you out of your senses? It's too sweet, are you trying to make me prone to diabetes?" I asked, accusingly.

"I'm sorry, I'll change it and bring you another cup." She apologized, resignedly.

"You should, after all you ruined my life." I spat, bitterly.

Her eyes widened in shock and guilt.

"You thought you could run away and have a good life? My mating ceremony was called off because of you, now I have to assure Lillian every night that I'll never leave her and how sorry I am, isn't that what you wanted? I'm stuck as an alpha without a mate and my pack is without a Luna all thanks to you, this is karma isn't it?" I insulted.

"You could have avoided all these if you didn't reject me, I'm your mate and rightful Luna." She replied, humbly.

I chuckled softly, I wasn't foolish enough not to see she had a soft spot for me, she was my mate one that I now intend to keep because she had a killer body, one that I ached to have when we were teenagers but all my efforts to do so had been useless so far especially with Lilian around. I had rejected Sara because I was in love with Lilian and wouldn't let her go but I was a wild one and since my wolf ached for Sara and I wasn't planning on marrying her, I wanted to know how intercouse with my mate would feel like.

My plan was simple, frustrate Sara, make her helpless until she falls right into my trap after proposing an easier life using her emotions to my own advantage in exchange of being my mistress and me taking over Lilian's company made it all easier and ever since I became CEO, Sara became my personal maid as I would compel to run embarrassing and odd errands for me.

"You're a lowly omega, you think I'll leave her for you?" I snickered.

She bent her head low, ashamed of herself, seeing that this was a good opportunity, I stood up and walked straight to her, I gently caressed her hair and I could tell from her reaction that her feelings for me were intact, for a moment I was scared of alpha Khael, scared of his reaction if he knew I was touching his mate, the devil has interrupted my mating ceremony and no one dared to question him, the least I could do was sleep with his mate.

"Sara, you're a beautiful woman and I appreciate your courage but you must understand that I can't keep you beside me as my Luna but you can have access to me and everything I own and in return, you'll warm my bed, that way you'll never be lonely." I offered, tempting her.

She flinched and moved away from me.

"My apologies Alpha Kiel but if I can't be your Luna then I won't be anything else." She rejected.

I knew it was hard for her but her response was sharp.

"Take your time to think about it, there's no rush." I advised.

"My answer remains unchanged." She insisted.

"I guess you'll be working overtime for the rest of your life here." I threatened.

"How would you like your coffee, black or you want a latte?" She asked, resolutely.

I scoffed, seeing she was insistent and though I was annoyed she had subtly rejected me, I clicked my tongue and walked back to my seat.

"I want all files dating from tow years back of all the sales the sales department has made plus our contracts from other sources and a list of all our partners and the contracts we've gotten so far this year as well." I ordered.

Her nose flared.

"But those are not my forte, I have no idea where to start." She complained.

"Then I suggest you begin immediately, hand them over before you leave." I ordered dismissively.

She was about to protest when I pointed at the door, signifying for her to leave, she reluctantly left while I chuckled to myself, she was going to suffer until she agrees to giving her body to me. Although the day, I was busy trying to merge my own company with Lilian's since it would make it grow even more and also capitalize our profits. When it was time to leave, Sara came into my office looking exhausted and with a big pile of files in her hands.

"This is what you requested for Sir." She reported, tiredly.

I momentarily glanced at my wristwatch and stood up.

"It's time for me to leave so I can't go through it but have it digitalized and sent to my email before nightfall, you're not to leave until you do all that." I ordered.

Her jaw almost dropped in shock and I was about to tell her it would slide if she just agreed to a night with me but was shocked when Lilian suddenly walked in.

"What's keeping my man this late at work? Aren't you scared you'll be tired at this rate? Take it easy." She drawled as she cat-walked in, she kissed me fully on the lips and stared daggers at a sore Sara before holding my hands.

"Of course, shall we leave?" I asked, knowingly.

Lilian nodded and we walked past Sara as if she was invincible as we walked away she didn't even talk about Sara but instead, announced something huge.

"Do you know that you're in massive luck? The youngest billionaire to have topped the Forbes list invited the LRW empire to his opening party tomorrow and all you have to do is make a lasting impression and partnership with him and then you'll be unstoppable!" Lillian announced to me.

The corner of my lips curved with a smirk as I listened to her rant about the details, I was elated that soon I won't be just powerful but also unstoppable and getting Sara would be the least of my feat, wasn't the universe just wonderful?
