CHAPTER FIVE

1155 Words
I turned a frowning face into a doubtful smile. A smile that brings sorbing tears out of my oculus. It's a tear of anguish and a result of an uncontrolled calamity of love that sinks into the minds of connoisseurs into a stream of regret. It was Robert standing at the rear-side with a face, smiling in joy and, I identified. A bursting tear and a rapid beating that keeps repeating for seconds make me feel as if the heart will break up the chest and come in a race to say goodbye! in a roaring sound that will tell Robert he is no longer needed today or forever. I gently move backward toward the gate, but Robert holds my hand tightly and moves closer gently with a face of regret. I wish I could convince you to understand how things went around me that day. Robert said it softly. I have gone. I don't have to hear from you again," I paused him while turning my head aside with pointing fingers. My face turned out to be full of anger and sadness. What's all this? Where are all those promises that you have been telling my ears? Should I tell them that it's fake, or should I let your mouth breathe out the bare truth? I asked him repeatedly. Silas Ishaya then moves closer with the intention of turning her face slightly. But I refused to. Oh! Dear, listen to me, please. I just wanted to tell you what went on that day. It's a tear of regret that starts seeping down his cheeks. His knees were down to the ground with my hand held by one of his hands, and he raised the other hand, begging for pardon. It seems very merciful many times, as you can witness. I'd forgotten about all he did to me and took all the attention to him, and asked, "Why have you done this to me?" Have I done something bad, or have you changed your mind about me? How I keep asking as if I no longer needed to reply to any of the questions is what brings about increased tears by Silas in disbelief and fear of losing me again. Sila remained on the ground for minutes without saying a word. I was just looking at him with tears coming down. I and Silas became quite interested in looking at each other in a filthy way, in a way that we both started feeling each other. I pulled him off the ground and started cleaning the dust hanging from the elbow and knees of his trousers. I wiped the tears from his cheeks and pulled him closer to my chest. My hands were holding his back. Breathing gently in an intriguing manner Silas, too, held me tightly, breathing heavily and gently. Looking at me, his eyes were half closed. "How have you been for all this time?" Silas asked, breaking the silence. "I have been doubting if Robert would run from me," I replied to "Unbreakable silence is what I have been suffering from throughout this period, but no one cares," he said repeatedly. "I burst into tears, but no one could wipe off the tears. "A series of sleepless nights I incurred, but no one helped me fall asleep." "I have been suffering from a thirst for love, but no one has given me some water to drink, not to mention the hunger that's killing me every day, dead and alive." "Let's go home and have a conducive environment so that we can talk about the issues," Silas told me while gently taking his hands off my body. I nodded my head in a sign of certainty, pulled off my hands too, and got into the car until home. You and mama are discussing your studies. As you told me earlier. And the conversation was: "If you were granted the opportunity to further your education this year, which school would you choose? And what's your reason?" Asked mom while glaring to hear from her. Amelia sighs while still looking at the ceiling in search of ideas to answer the question convincingly. She nodded her head down, looked at Amelia with her cheeks greeting her, and cleared her throat. I would like to study in Cambridge, and... then what's your reason for studying there? Lydia asked, and words were racing out of her mouth. Amelia sighs! Why mama!? Didn't I promise to tell you my reason? At least you should let me die before you bury me," Amelia said while playing with her hands in a demonstration. Hahaha!! I just wanted to test the level of your IQ to see if you have long-term memory or not. Lydia said, in a way, mockingly, to Amelia. They both burst into laughter while snuggling each other. Okay, continue, as I'm all ears. Said Lydia. My major intention to study there is... Who would be knocking on the door at this unexpected time? Amelia asked in such a way that she was in no need of a reply. It's a bugling sound from the door that beats both their ears in reflection. That stopped them from kicking off the discussion. Their attention was drawn to the door while the discussion was skipped. It is the door knocking that gets Amelia up her feet, and this is the second time she has knocked without opening the door. She gently headed to the door with a doubting face, asking herself, "Who would be that person coming to us unnoticed?" A lot was discussed in her mind. But later, I ignored all the temptations and held the jam-lock back. Jessica spent three months in Los Angeles, in her uncle's home, after her breakup with Silas. He chose to go far from home to create a calm and conducive environment where his mind could be in the utmost peace and tranquility. She noticed that she was coming home to attend the marriage ceremony of one of her friends a day before the wedding date. And now it's two days before the wedding. It's Jessica and Silas, her old crush, standing in front of the door. Amelia identified them while opening the door. Huh! Oh! God! Is this you? How could this be done? I thought… But tomorrow is supposed to be the date of your arrival. And why today? Amelia asked surprisingly and continuously without giving space for an answer. I will let you know first if you give us room to rest," said Jessica, while looking at Amelia with a smiling face. Jessica entered the room straightforwardly, and Robert followed her in person. Don't get a seat. You neither have the space nor the audacity to follow my daughter again. Go out, or I should call the police to get rid of you. Lydia said upon her contact with Robert: "Her cold body was shivering with the utmost grief and anger."
