Debt To Love

Amelia heads to the door and starts knocking. It's 4:00 a.m. while everyone in the house is asleep. The town is also silent unless there is a screaming of birds and freshly filtered air that keeps vibrating every angle of the house. The home is adorned with flowers that attract the eyes of many. The large neam tree planted on the right side of the garden has started falling ripened leaves as it's winter. It's where Amelia, Jessica, and her best friend, Laurence, sit on their tidied legs and discuss worldly matters. Today is Monday, and Jessica has to wake up early to prepare herself for the final exam in college. After knocking several times, Amelia takes a rest by going to her mother's room and asking for a key to open Jessica's room. "Oh! God! Mama, are you sleeping too?" Amelia asked herself in a little bit of confusion. After knocking for more than ten minutes, she heard a motion coming out of her ears. It's an indication that Mama is awake from the sleep. "Who would be knocking on my door this old night?" Mama asked surprisingly. "It's Amelia. It's already 4:00 a.m., mama, and I wanted to ask for Jessica's room key. You know, today is Monday and the day of her final exam. So, she has to wake up and prepare herself early," Amelia said while eagerly waiting for the key. She quickly handled the key with all hands after it was thrown by Mama and ran to open the door. Jessica was quite asleep. The grunting sound of her voice filled the room's space, which Amelia identified. Her phone was called several times, but she wasn't aware of it as she kicked the temporary bucket. Amelia moved closer and called her name several times but didn't awaken. She touched and even shook her body, but it didn't work. A fear starts prevailing on her face that Jessica didn't respond to all the actions carried out. "Is she well? What should I do now to bring my sister alive?" Amelia asked herself without anticipation of a reply. She quickly ran to the bathroom to fetch some water and pour it on Jessica. "Oh! Hey! "Who would be this?" Jessica asked while awakened and frightened from the deadly sleep. She quickly stood out of bed, malingering with her eyes half closed, while struggling to identify who had awakened her with this cold water. "It's me, sister. I bet it's today, Monday, the day of your final exam." Amelia said. "Yes, of course, I know." Jessica said this while gently moving to the bathroom. "Maybe she could be back to her normal senses after taking a bath," Amelia said while sitting beside the bed with her hands up, supporting her jaws. She came back to the room after a while. "Why did you sleep that much while you had never had trouble sleeping early?" Amelia asked while listening to the answer from Jessica. "Because I go to bed at a very late hour. I studied almost the whole night to prepare myself for the exam. I wouldn't have been awake if you hadn't come this early. Peherp, I may lose the exam. Thank you so much, sister," said Jessica with a smiling face. "It's now 6:00 a.m. o'clock. Let go and meet Mama and Papa," Jessica said. They quickly leave the room until Lydia's room, who is their legal mother's name. Hey mama, good morning. They both sat sideways while heading to hug her body. Good morning, my daughters. How was your night? I hope you enjoy the sleep. Yes! Mama. They both answered with joy and happiness. "I'm going to school without breakfast today," Jessica said to Mama. " Oh! "How could you do this?" Mom asked. " Don't you remember today being our final day in college? I will survive by all means if I stay for the whole day without food. Remember, we're all waiting for the day and it has come. Then, what's common food?" They both burst into laughter again and again. "Okay mama, you know how happy today I am. Can I take Papa's car to the college?" Asked Jessica. Why not? Let's ask him. Mama said. She quickly stood up and headed to his door. A scream from the door stopped them from taking a step again. It's Papa coming to them already to look for their health. They both run to him with a hug, followed by creating rapport one over another. I hope you're doing fine. How was your night? Papa asked while touching them in blessing. How many dreams with me do you count throughout your night? Papa asked Mom while smiling in anticipation of a reply. "Only three," she said. Can you mention? Papa asked. "Yes," said Mom. "I dreamt of you, my daughter Amelia, and Jessica, who have been preparing for the final exam since dawn. Oh! Our daughter is getting older today." Mom said. " "Wow! I wish you the best of luck. Let me be your guard at college today, as it's a special day for all of us." Papa said while clearing the way to make it to the garage. "No, papa, I wanted to drive myself if you could grant me permission. You know my colleagues too have their own motors. So I have to go with yours to show them that I too have a dad alive." Jessica said. They both burst into laughter with the utmost joy and happiness. "Okay daughter." Said papa. Jessica handled the key and headed directly to the garage, leaving them praying for her, but unfortunately, she heard a very risen sound, a sound that clearly indicates something big has fallen to the ground. She turned around quickly and beheld mom on the ground, unconsciously struggling with respiration [gasping for air]. She ran to them quickly, crying and shouting out for help. Papa brought the key back from Jessica to take her to the hospital. They took it to the motor and ask ed for Amelia to go in and Jessica to go to college for her final exam.
