Friday's mock trial session was grueling.
Jennifer put Aria through three solid hours of testimony practice that consist of direct examination, cross-examination, and redirect. By the time they finished at six PM, Aria was exhausted but felt marginally more prepared.
"You're ready," Jennifer said firmly as they wrapped up. "Monday, just remember everything we practiced. Stay calm, answer clearly, and tell the truth."
The weekend passed in a blur of anxiety and distraction.
