Chapter Seventeen

"They could've been a cute couple but their relationship is toxic!" I heard one of the maids whisper to the other, "They're only dealing with one another because they're mates!"  "He bought her roses recently!" One of the maids stated.  "Notice how he gave it to her in front of everyone! He knows that people can see through the act so he had to put on a show," She answered with a shrug.  "I believe he will stick around until she pops out a child so there can be a heir to the throne but he will probably cheat throughout the entire relationship," One said.  The main maid giggled, "Hopefully he will cheat on her with me!"  "You're a maid!" One whispered harshly, "He doesn't even look our way!"  She scoffed, "I'm pretty sure he will look at anyone after being with her. She's literally has the blood of a vamp running through her veins and I cannot forget to mention that she's ghetto!"  "She's not ghetto!" A maid said as she entered the kitchen causing the other maids to look at her, "She's outspoken but she's elegant! You're just not used to seeing someone put King Noah in his place!" The girl scoffed, "Whatever! If he truly cared for her then he wouldn't be out sleeping with Naomi!"  I stood at the door listening to everything they were saying. I could hear one of the maids sigh heavily, "We need to face the facts! She's only here because she is his mate and he would never go against the Moon Goddess! Lycan or not, he's only going to put up with her until she produces a child! After that, I'm pretty sure he will lock her inside this palace and spend the rest of his time with Naomi!"  "I do not believe that!" The maid who defended me earlier said. I could hear a few of the other maids snicker.  "Ororo will never be considered one of us!" One shot back, "She is not only a human but she has the blood of a vampire running through her veins! She's worst than a rogue!" She finished. Her voice was filled with venom and disgust. I shook my head and stormed away. I ignored the looks of different staff members and kept going straight towards the room that I shared with Noah. I slammed the door open only to come face to face with an empty room. I grabbed a few of my clothes out of the closet and slammed the on the bed. I went over to the closet and dragged out my suitcase before placing the clothes into it.  "I refuse to share a room with him!" I growled to myself. My thoughts and packing were soon cut off by a knock at the door, "What?" I yelled.  The person cleared their throat, "Luna, the King demands your presence in the dining room!"  "You can tell the King to kiss my black ass!" I called out, "Tell him to invite Naomi!"  I could hear the man whose name is Johnny gasp from the other side of the door. I waited patiently for him to leave and sighed in relief when I heard his footsteps fading away from the door. I packed the rest of my clothes into the suitcase before slamming the door open and going to the huge bedroom at the end of the hallway. I opened the door and placed my suitcase inside.  "What are you doing?" I heard the voice that belonged to Noah.   Something in me snapped.  I stormed passed him and out of the room. I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen to grab the roses that he had gotten me. Noah trailed behind me and I could hear him demanding everyone to return to their activities.  "Ororo!" Noah roared.  "Don't you dare try to use that alpha tone with me!" I exclaimed as I pointed my finger directly in his face.  He snatched my hand away from his face, "Who are you speaking to like that? Where is your respect?"  "f**k respect! f**k you! f**k this country! f**k the people that's in it!" I yelled, "I hate it here!"  "You will not disrespect my country or my people!" Noah warned.  I walked closer to him before responding, "f**k your country! I thought America was bad but Gideon puts the icing on the cake!"  I turned around and continued to make my way through the kitchen as the maid from earlier stared at me. I rolled my eyes and hit the back door which lead to the back patio. Noah followed behind me and I could hear him growl.  "I am sick of your f*****g mouth!" He yelled. I could see all of the staff flinching at the tone of his voice.  "Then let me go home!" I screamed before slapping him with the huge bouquet of roses.  "We are f*****g married!" He screamed back.  "No we are not because when you're married you don't sleep with other women!" I yelled. Noah stopped and stared at me for a minute before scoffing.  "Who told you that?" He demanded  "Everyone knows! Everyone knew except for me! I thought I was making progress only to discover that not only am I heavily disliked by your staff but the man I married is sleeping with a b***h called Naomi!" I replied. I sniffed as the tears slowly ran down my cheeks, "I am apparently worst than a rogue!" "Ororo," Noah started.  "I don't want to hear it!" I growled. I angrily wiped the tears off of my face, "I will not cry over you! I will not give you a heir! I will not sleep with you in the same room! I will not eat with you! I will not do anything with you!"  "We can talk about this!" Noah said but I shook my head.  "You can talk to Naomi! I'm done talking to you, Noah! I don't trust anyone here! I don't trust you or your staff and all I want is to go home but I'm stuck here in a country where I am hated! I don't want to be near anyone!" I explained.  "You're being ridiculous!" Noah exclaimed, "How do you expect that to happen!"  "If you want a heir so f*****g bad then go f**k Naomi since you've been doing it the entire time but I will not give you what you want!" I replied, "Not now and not ever," I finished. I threw the flowers down before stepping on it as I made my way back into the huge palace filled with people who hated my soul. I walked past everyone who stared at me with wide eyes and sympathy.  On cue, a beautiful girl exited the palace. She had the prettiest green eyes with her black hair. She stared at me before looking up at Noah.  Naomi.  "Don't worry!" I said to her, "I haven't ruined you and Noah's relationship! I just set myself free," I didn't say another word and stepped into the palace leaving Naomi, Noah, and the rest of the staff outside.
